- The OEM tail fender on the Tenere 700 is not only eye sore, it is as heavy as it is large. To remedy this AltRider designed a lightweight weight Tail Tidy Fender Eliminator for the Yamaha Tenere 700. The fender eliminator is formed from a single sheet of 5052 aluminum to reduce weight and finished in a textured black powder coat to blend in with the rear plastics. As the only aluminum option on the market, the AltRider Tail Tidy is the lightest design available, using single piece construction and gussets to maximize the strength and rigidity.
Formed from a single sheet of 5052 aluminum
Single piece construction utilizes gussets to maximize the strength and rigidity
Lightweight, replaces 3.1 lbs (1.4 kg) of OEM equipment
Blinker mounts accept any 10 mm aftermarket stem
Textured black powder coat finish
AltRider Tail Tidy Fender Eliminator for the Yamaha Tenere 700 is not compatible with the large OEM blinkers however the blinker mounts in the tail tidy are drilled for any 10 mm aftermarket stem. To keep things tidy the cable routing is made convenient with wire routing slots for cable-ties and an entry hole to route cables up into the tail plastics. The license plate illumination and blinkers are located tightly up under the brake light to instantly clean up the rear lines of the bike, and looks great from any angle. Securely mount your license plate using four pre-drilled holes, which prevents any stress-cracks found on two hole designs. The angle of the plate keeps it tight to the bike, and out of the way of your tire, even with aggressive knobbies, in the event of full compression.

Probably the most helpful video about tidy tail installation ever seen so far! Thanks a lot mate! It was super clear!
Awesome! We try to make a comprehensive video that not only makes installs easy to follow, but hopefully gives some helpful info. Thanks for the compliment!
Can’t believe it… you guys uploaded it about an hour after I installed mine! 😅 Loving how it looks. Great video and great tidy!
HAHA! You are just too quick! Glad you enjoy the look and the video!
I just ordered one because this video was so detailed. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful and your T7 will look so much better!
Great detailed video! Thanks 👍
Glad you got value out of it!
Perfect video!
Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Just finished up my tail tidy by altrider. Thanks so much for an excellent video! I’m not mechanically oriented at all, but this video made it a breeze! I have an HP corse exhaust I installed at the same time so I had to make some new drop brackets (so right blinker doesn’t melt) mounted to the license plate, which was easier than expected and still looks great.
So glad our install guide was helpful for you!
Do you have the HP high exhaust? Customer service has had this come up from other customers...
@@AltRiderLLC yessir I do. I can send you some pictures of what I did if you’d like. It isn’t perfect but it worked out really well. Basically just cut two pieces of 1” angle aluminum and used the 4 holes designed for mounting license plate to mount to. Then drilled a hole to mount the cyclops blinkers into.
@@AltRiderLLC also just uploaded a couple shorts of my bike as it stands now. Not sure if they’ll help much in regards to showing the details of the tail tidy mod. I just sent you an email about 10 min ago with more detailed close up pics.
Thanks! I know customer service has been emailing with you...
Excellent products and install. But holy crap, could Yamaha make that tail light assembly more complicated?
Probably not...
I just watch your video I am wanting to install on the new world raid. I’ve looked at a couple of images and it looks from the back that the indicators aren’t level is the bracket where the indicators fixed at an angle. Thanks
If you look at studio photos of just the part (not installed on the bike) on our product page you can see the two bent flanges that the indicators attach to. They're bent in a form that creates 90 degree bends - so it's possible it just the way the photo is angled.

How well does the tidy tail function as a fender also to prevent flinging of mud and water? Also does the position contact the tire on hard bottoming? Thank you
We didn't find mud or water to be problematic. Also, it sits further away from the tire than the OEM tail, so it's not going to be hitting the tire
Does this tail tidy leave an opening at the bottom of the tail? I find that drawback of all after market solutions compared to the stick, because it can allow water and dirt to enter the subframe
There isn't a hole that leaves parts or electronics exposed. You can see in the video there is the Yamah plastic wheel well that goes the entire length.
If I do want to use the blue wire, what do I connect it to? The yellow as well?
The blue and red Cyclops wires taped into the OEM yellow will make the blinkers have running lights. Be sure to consult the Cyclopes instructions for specifics
Thanks for the reply! Great video you guys did.
why did you start with a red and white bike and end with a blue bike?
Sometimes we're not able to do the entire thing in one take...
Will this tail tidy work with the HP Corse high exhaust? I am thinking the blinker will be directly behind the exhaust outlet.
I can't tell for sure, but it does look like there might be interference...

look nice but u will have all the crap on ur back while riding in rain or mud. i know this cuz i have it.
Most of the time it will do a decent job to block mud, but there are always compromises 😎
