Yeah I've been travelling full-time for 6 months now and only used them once so I've got rid of them along with a few other things and reduced down to a 30L.
Hey :) Nope, no shaving foam as I only really shave my cheeks so I just put warm/hot water on my face or I can always use shower gel/soap to make for a smoother shave or if I really want some shaving foam I can simply jump into a shop to pick some up but I tend not to need it. The aftershave is Armani Code. I have recently updated everything I own here: ua-cam.com/video/kPFONrJhuUE/v-deo.html Thanks for stopping by :)
How do you handle washing your clothes? I bet it's hard to fill up a washing mashine when you've only got a few shirts... Do you simply don't care or do you wash everything by hand? And what about documents that one is supossed to keep (you know, bills for the tax return and stuff like that)? Anyways. Great and truly inspiring video! Loved the editing! :)
I wash my boxers and socks by hand in the shower until I have a big enough wash load, say at the end of the week I will put everything in the washer and just wear my shorts or If I house sit or travel with people I will throw my clothes in the washer together. As for bills and documentation I don't have any as I've gone digital with all of mine but I've put my main address as my parents if I do get the odd letter etc. Thanks, I'm glad you like the video :)
I haven't... but I have travelled to Spain for 4 days without a backpack and just put my passport, wallet, Phone, charger, toothbrush, a pair of socks and boxers in my coat pocket :)
You work using just your laptop ? Isn't it a problem for longer sessions: neck/back pain caused by staring down at screen (they say laptops are not ergonomic) ?
Mike Ramos I spent just over a year slowly reducing stuff so it's been a gradual process. I did this because I wanted to travel full-time to see the world. It's so much easier than people think.
They are getting harder to find but I'm sure they'll be a few on ebay or have a look on google, gumtree etc. I've only used mine once in the past 6 months so I've just got rid of them.
I use my Samsung phone to record videos. I've recently swapped out the other phone for a GoPro. My friend (Simon) helped record this video using his LSR camera.
have mad respect for this lifestyle! I suppose in a way it's the antithesis of what I go for (I have a pretty decent amount of clothes ha) but it seems like it would be a very liberating way to live. love this video!
In a bed in an Airbnb, Hotel, Hostel, Couchsurfing, Boats, Shipping Container Homes, House Sitting etc. Lots more options to just buying or renting a house. I've mainly been living in Airbnbs for the past 3-4 years.
I have been learning graphic design / animation for 17 years and been working in the industry for 10 years building up my day rate so I now work for around 4 months out of the year but you can travel 100% for free if you try house sitting. I know a photographer who hasn't spent a single penny in 9+ years as he designed his own life with his own set of rules. It's all about being creative, designing your own life/rules and wanting less.
It's simply like renting an Airbnb. The owner of the property pays the electric, water, gas, tax etc. you trade time to earn money at work than pay them some amount of money. With house sitting you just remove the money part. You trade your time to look after their house and/or pets and they trade you a bed and food for your time. So there is still trade but you create your own value system and remove money from the equation. You want a bed and food they want someone to look after their house and pet.
Nice vid! Subbed! Ive just entered my 5th month travelling (currently in Mexico) and my setup is super similar to . yours! I even have the same bag haha! I often find myself with my collapsable bag always out, even if i have it on the front while walking. I don't feel comfortable leaving my laptop in that front pocket when the bag goes under a bus or something haha I have a set of thermals though (which came in handy for some of my USA travels camping etc) What are you shooting this video with? EDIT: also what countries/continents are you traveling though? I hope to make a video like this soon too.
Thanks! Nice, I can't wait to visit Mexico. Yeah this bag is awesome but I've reduced since this video and I've for a 30L backpack that I really want. Yeah I'd probably buy some thermals when it gets super cold but it's still warm in Germany and my body likes the cold more then I like heat. I've got through a winder in the UK with the same set-up. You just close the windows and turn the radiator on or get under a blanket :) Saves carrying a jumper around with me to sunny places. My friend shot the video for me on a DSLR I can't remember what make he has. This video was shot in an Airbnb in Rotterdam but I'm not in Germany near Berlin. Can't wait to see your video :)
Yeah I'm looking to reduce over the next few months as I'm happy to do this slowly now that I'm down to 40L. I've already got rid of one of the phones and bought a GoPro as they're more durable and I wouldn't want to put my phone through that ha. I don't want to become an extreme minimalist and make my life/experiences miserable. I guess it's just a case of changing things out over the next year once I've been to more places with different (extreme) weather conditions.
Thanks, I don't own a drone, everything I own is in the video. I know a few people who own drones so I might have to do a collaboration in the future :)
The drone is a game changer when it comes to making travel films. I have the mavic and love it. I think I take about the same amount in tech as I do clothes...lol...but anyway...Enjoyed your video :)
Yeah I've been talking with a few friends about buying a Mavic Pro (they look so cool). I may even buy one second hand for a few months then sell it on so I get some cool footage, don't have to carry it around forever and I get my money back ;) or I'll just travel with a friend who has one :D ha
The Locoste shoes are super comfy and the other shoes I use for the beach, showers in hotels or chilling in a garden etc. You don't have to "walk long roads", use a bike, bus, tram, train or plane ;)
Nice, I will have to go, I've heard so many great things about Vietnam, a few friends who have been. I'm planing to visit every country over the next 10 years so it's on my list, I'm too greedy ha. There are so many amazing places to see.
I got one from a friend who had a pack of 25. I'm looking to making most of my items environmentally friendly over the next year as I've only been travelling full-time for about 3-4 months so I'm still changing things. Also I'm sure a razor is less damaging to the environment then owning a house, car etc. and being wasteful with resources.
This is the first UA-cam video, with no vocals, that I’ve liked. Period. Usually, I despise them.
Inspirational. Going Minimal has been a game changer. Don't be bogged down by things you don't use everything you own is a part of your story
Best EIO / One Bag video I've ever seen! Quality shooting, great editing, and no fluff or lengthy descriptions.
the music though..
My whole stuff fits in a medium sized suitcase and a backpack. Now I'm thinking of downsizing a bit more. Excellent video!
i have watched this video in 2017 and i still watch it now, it's just inspirational ! we would like to see a new 2019 one !
2020 lol now and still waiting
2022
lol those white shoes are hideous
Yeah I've been travelling full-time for 6 months now and only used them once so I've got rid of them along with a few other things and reduced down to a 30L.

Cool! Just two questions though. You don't use a shaving foam/gel? And, what's the aftershave you're using?

This is awesome! Love the music and the editing. Still waiting for your 2018 update.
Freaking awesome
I love the comment on your watch regarding the 2 armani's. Then I noticed your 4 leaf clover and thought I didn't work so well with the watches. :)
I think that's a sample Blue In Green by Miles Davis at the beginning.
Just watched this. Found it randomly and I'm super impressed with your stuff, organization, and overall message. Good stuff indeed.

Hey mate, how has your packing changed over the year? Time for a new video?
Have you ever traveled with AirAsia? Their carry-on allowance is just 7kg.
I haven't... but I have travelled to Spain for 4 days without a backpack and just put my passport, wallet, Phone, charger, toothbrush, a pair of socks and boxers in my coat pocket :)
Nice video bro where did you get that travel towel?
Ariel Ojeda, Good question. It looks like a good size. I would like to know as well.
Awesome video!
Thanks, glad you like it :)
Hey man, great video. Just wondering if you have a preferred shirt model/brand?
less is the new more #respect
Who owns that couch?
The person who owns the Airbnb when I was staying in Rotterdam.
How do u make meals?? Cause no cutlery or cooking equipment?
If I stay in a Airbnb, house sit or hostel I use the kitchen if I stop in a hotel I just buy from a super market.
Love the setup! Thanks for sharing!
Please can you post a link to the travel adapter plug? I’m looking for the same one but I can’t find it
best version of one of these I've seen yet... and its 2021!
Love this!
could you please share link to Timberland Radler Camp shoes? they looks really interesting but I can't find them...
I bought them on ebay. Try ebay or Amazon. I wasn't in a rush to get them so I just kept looking and found them for like £10.
You work using just your laptop ? Isn't it a problem for longer sessions: neck/back pain caused by staring down at screen (they say laptops are not ergonomic) ?
Not at all as I only work for around 3-4 months out of the year as I try to keep my costs low, increase my day rate and boost my passive income.
That is insane !!
Insanely peaceful :)
good video
How did you decide on just those items? what inspired you to pair down?
Mike Ramos I spent just over a year slowly reducing stuff so it's been a gradual process. I did this because I wanted to travel full-time to see the world. It's so much easier than people think.
Awesome
Note 4 is the best one
Can't find those fantastic Timberland Radler Trail Camp Shoes, after numerous searches online!
They are getting harder to find but I'm sure they'll be a few on ebay or have a look on google, gumtree etc. I've only used mine once in the past 6 months so I've just got rid of them.
Love my Osprey
thanks4share
where you can buy this bag? Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress?
It's the osprey farpoint 40l, it's not on AliExpress but eBay or Amazon have them as well as Osprey website.
nice one
This is awesome! Where do you keep your camera gear?
I use my Samsung phone to record videos. I've recently swapped out the other phone for a GoPro. My friend (Simon) helped record this video using his LSR camera.
PERFECT! I am totally impressed and wouldn't change a thing. ☑ Nice Dell too! What do you do for money to support your travels?
Thanks, I'm still reducing a few things. I've had my eyes on an amazing 30L so I'll hopefully have a new setup by the end of the year :)
5:11 Which size drysack is this blueish one? The 6 litre?
I believe it is a 6L you can find them all here :) www.ospreyeurope.com/shop/gb_en/accessories/drysacks

You could get rid off some of your heavy electronics if you're still looking for ways to reduce.

Super
Design and minimalism are cool, but you travel with six long sleeve shirts and then only three underwear boxers?

i LOVE how men (most) keep it simple and are the true minimalists!
Travel go explore, zip leg pants. (Double duty as shorts and pants), long underwear and a hoodie.
I would change the shoes if I was you because I think they aren't that comfortable to walk long roads but that's just my opinion
The Locoste shoes are super comfy and the other shoes I use for the beach, showers in hotels or chilling in a garden etc. You don't have to "walk long roads", use a bike, bus, tram, train or plane ;)
Travel Go Explore oke have fun on you're trip I'm now in Vietnam I would highly recommend you to go there it's amazing and super cheap

why use disposable razors? it ain't that environmentally friendly...
I got one from a friend who had a pack of 25. I'm looking to making most of my items environmentally friendly over the next year as I've only been travelling full-time for about 3-4 months so I'm still changing things. Travel Go Explore - Exactly correct! I agree. 😀
Life in a bag. Cool, good for you.
Thanks :)

you don't own toilet paper? i bet there are many other things u own that u did not include here
That's correct I don't own toilet paper, it comes with the Airbnb, Hotel, Hostel, House Sitting etc.
