- The idea of preferences among Black Americans is very destructive to the Black Americans family. Choosing to partner with non Black people will have lasting effects on the culture and the identity of Black Americans.
There's a thin line between preference and self hatred, But very few people know the difference.

They use black women as a come up and if or when they do come up, they almost always get with a non-black or white woman, and that is who gets to benefit from any wealth that a black woman have helped him to obtain, and the way that black men have put so much effort into trashing and bashing black women, the women that birth them, I can’t get past that, the treachery and treason is unforgivable to me, I can’t see myself with a black man ever again.

Lady Boule, ignorance is judging a person by race, creed, or color. Choosing other races because of self-hatred or the awful hatred that many Black men have for Black women is also based on ignorance. People should date and marry who they love regardless of race. Black women have been having a tough time, we have been denigrated and called every name in the book. Black women deserve happiness, we deserve to marry if we choose, and we deserve to have children if we choose. Humanity is what matters, not race I have daughters all married or dating wonderful men. None of them are Black, all of them are wonderful, intelligent, kind, loving, and respectful young men. I would not trade them.
Maybe if Black women would stop twerking and listening to Sexy Red for a second they would themselves the way others do but they are too busy viewing themselves as victims and as perfect. Black women want to live outside the boundaries of what is considered feminine and decent but still want to be viewed as Mother Teresa and men regardless of race ain't having it. I love Elder Deborah and her family’s documentaries she is a faith leader in my extended faith community. The Whited Out documentaries her family produced will clarify a lot of what we especially African Americans faced. Miss Boule you have a similar spirit to Elder Deborah and that’s a compliment.

One of my teachers, Dr. Amos Wilson, said tastes can be manipulated. You can't go through years of miseducation (white elevation) coupled with the maligning of Africanity/Blackness and think your "preference" is not a societal dictate. Those who marry out are admitting Blackness is not important enough to preserve. The struggle is too difficult and they don't have the fortitude to continue. They're also submitting to the notion of white exceptionality. An Anglocentric notion pushed heavy by a particular Fascist leader (Lore has it he was a big Hit).
Lady Boule your topics always generate interest in provoke dialog. I absolutely 💯 love this. Having opposing views and positions is both healthy and enlightening. Every generation must tackle the hard subjects and issues of the day. When people have been systematically denied dating and marrying choices under penalty of torture, imprisonment and death for hundreds of years. Their children who are born and raised under radically different circumstances feel liberated to date and marry in other camps and cultures.
Sadly, I think we are beyond having the heart to be repaired. As far as, bw dating and marrying other races of men is long over due. In America, there are more bm than bw. Therefore, bm used this for decades as an advantage to have multiple bw and creating broken homes. In addition, there are more wm than ww. We have used this to their advantage as well. The difference between the two is almost even. So if bw want to reverse the curse of fatherless children and broken homes in their family history, marrying outside of their race is a serious option.
I am tired of the "preference" narrative. Love who you want. I love my Black husband and he loves my Black self.

I am Black American
I grew up in the inner city in the 90- early 2000s. Most of the black men chased every woman with legs. It didn't matter if they had wives or not. Some of them hit on us before we were even of age. Only a few of our fathers stuck around to be dad's, but somehow we still grew to desire black men. I don't fault any black woman for choosing to date other races of men.

Sis, I also listen to sister Deborah. Sadly, she never gets so much hateful comments until she speaks on this subject. As a Blk man I can’t say I’m happy with our sistahs decisions to hop the fence, but what’s fair is fair. There are also some brothers on social media that do speak up about the dishonesty, disingenuous and hypocrisy of some black men. One in particular is Amiri Brown. He’s running for office in GA so he hasn’t posted videos all summer. He’s has consistently gone at those brothers’ necks who promotes gender warring&bashing BW.

Blacks are okay with having preferences until they are not the preference of whites when it comes to love and employment. If your preference is based on bigotry, it is prejudice. Those with preferences have a tendency to demean and denigrate those that are not their choice. Black people justify their bigotry especially against each other.
Kamal Harris dated at least 2 black men of various skin tones, and they didn't marry her. Her husband did and she is happy. Be happy for her.

Honestly many may not make videos but studies by Black economist and mentor to the founders of the Ados movement William Darity shows that a lot of dark skin women are either not married, married later or married to men that were not their equals only a few will ever post whole videos or become a social media personality but their views represent the quiet and even subconscious views of many. It is not only black people marrying but who pushed for the marriage, are the people equally yoked, how is the woman treated and did the man only marry a black woman or dark skin woman when he was down on his luck. Marriages between black women and foreign black men do not count as those men come from society’s where all types of black women can marry and marry well. We have to be brutally honest even with the stats on black marriage if we subtracted anyone with a non black parent or grandparent the numbers goes down and if we examined how many dark skin women are married and in basic healthy situations with black American men the number goes down more. I have studied colorism since the 90’s academically and often men will have sex with a lot of women who they will not marry so saying you dated dark skin women doesn’t mean much. I just wish our people could be honest.

I dated a white guy in the 1980s. I never thought of my relationship with John as "progressive." But that was an entirely different time, or perhaps I was an entirely different black woman. After he'd declared a romantic interest in me, it took me 6 months before I'd agree to go on a date with him. I needed time to discuss this with my family and to think about how this would impact my family as well as my community.
In the Tick Tock video played on Lady Boule 's channel, the Lady came across as desperate or worshipping the men of Themfolks. To be fair to both genders, BM come across as being desperate and worshipping Themfolks' women.
I’m happy for my Sisters! My friends died alone, because after their husbands cheated, abused and divorced them, they refused to date anybody but BM. Internalized racism, that’s the hold this thing has on us.
It is having it’s sway. Lady Boule, I’m an elder too, ln my day we were more homogeneous, more together as a community, along the way that became derailed. It’s a part of the the plan to divide and conquer. Very disappointing, very sad. Extremely heart breaking.
Stop lying about the unity. The truth is the women were being cheated on and beaten and just taking all that shit in silence. Raising their husbands outside babies or not even discovering them until he died. There was no community, just a bunch of black women overweight from high stress induced cortisol levels because they were running around cleaning up the messes of men who didn't want to be fathers, didn't want to work, were not faithful, and didn't have the balls to stand up to a society that was still calling him "boy". Ideal black community never existed, but a bunch of tired black women who died in their 60s from being married to these "men" did.
Interracial relationships between black women and white men are rare. The majority of white men are with Asian women or Latina women.
And black women with white men make the longest and most successful marriages.
The reason why it’s so rare is because black women were staying loyal to black men, while black men were running out of the black community in droves to be with non-black women, but black women are now changing their feelings and attitudes about interracial dating because of black men, we have sat quiet and still for decades, watching black men run out the community to be with other races of women while kicking dirt in BW faces, and telling us how undesirable and masculine we were, when we black women always knew we were desired by other races of men, specifically white men, but we were the ones that wouldn’t deal with them. Now that we are more and more black women are opening up their options to white and other races of men, you don’t have to believe it, but time is going to show it, y’all ain’t seen nothing yet, 🤷🏽♀️

I was reading Numbers chapters 22-26 and how a king from Moab met with a prophet to cause Israel to sin against Yah (because Israel was great and powerfu)l and caused Yah's people to sin by intermingling with the women of Moab or strange flesh and how that caused them to be judged by Yah. Our people don't realize that because of this sin our people will be judged. In a way I can understand how the daughters of Zion feel with the hatred from alot of our men, but at the same time Yah will judge the men because he made them the head and they have joined to strange flesh. They will be held accountable. Also notice how these IR relationships have been pushed on our people alot thru media especially with our people awakening to who we are. These are but a few heartbreaking examples of women who thought they would get something better on the other side: Tamar Braxton, whose white man left her and took some money with him, Rachel Lindsey from the Bachelorette, and the beautiful young Black woman the Worst Ex Ever on [edit:Netflix] barely escaped with her life. I hope people are able to find genuine love in any color. But if youre doing it just because you have disdain for your own kind, youre asking for trouble because you start ignoring the red flags. That's not really the issue the issue now is black women have more access to other people through the internet and that dating apps have gotten a large following. I think that whites Asians and Latinos and Indians and other non-black people are FAR more committed to "racial purity" than most black people are because of their misplaced sense of innate racial superiority. Most of the black people who are pushing black on black relationships are those in historically racist societies in which mating with those who have acted as enemies and oppressors is seen as foolish and suicidal. There is some historical context lost in this discussion. Black women tended to marry outside the race at a slightly higher rate than did black men (like the foot of a black woman higher, not like 3 black women higher) prior to and immediately after Loving. Eventually, the percentage of black men dating outside the race overtook the percentage of black men dating white women. The mythology about interracial marriages in this country has been written by white women, which white people ignored until the end of the 1990s when white academics realized that these conversations excluded all other interracial pairings.

I’ve seen awful hateful things coming from BW UA-camrs. For example, laughing at and praising pictures of lynched BM. There have been decades to BW downing BM on TV talk shows, especially in the 90s and early 2000s. Now BM are pushing back on those harmful media images. There is no place for extremes! I boycotted The Color Purple solely because the NAACP and Angela Davis asked black people to do so. However, I did think that the films (blaxploitation) and novels written by black men (Ishmael Reed, Richard Wright, et al.) portrayed black men in a far more derogatory light than The Color Purple ever did (I know, their characters were painted with nuance). Besides, Walker ended the novel as a story of redemption - Mister, a symbolic black everyman, was redeemed.
The issue was really the biases of white people, particularly white women, which affected their reading comprehension skills. In high school, I sat in a classroom of white girls and read Native Son, and every single white girl totally forgot that Bigger Thomas had killed a black woman, not just a white woman. They also totally ignored that Harper Lee wrote a subplot in Mockingbird about a white woman sexually assaulting a black man. White feminists had started an anti-rape movement just years before.
