As someone from the motherland i had a Haitian old woman for a landlady for almost 10 years and never experienced this behavior. Her house was always super clean and well maintained. Once in a while we would exchange some food and i always checked on her since she was old and lived alone. To me they are wonderful people
Concept that each people have bandits and normal people at the same time is to complex concept for most people. They love to generalise any bad experience with some thugs. By that logic Black American culture is drugs and fun violence!
Of course black americans have culture and it's a great one. As a haitian american I appreciate the black american for what they have accomplished in the US. Black americans is the reason why I am thriving here.
Thank you kindly! That’s all we want! Nothing more! Immigrants can get along with Black Americans if they quit telling us, we don’t have culture. And don’t judge us by the 25% of Blacks who aren’t going anywhere. But get to know the 75% of us, who are decent and doing well financially, because we took advantage of the foundation our ancestors fought and died to pass on to us.❤
Thank you. I stand with Black folk around the diaspora. The ignorance is Globally. I stand with my Haitian brothers and sisters and other black folks around the world. I hate this Diaspora war. Anyway, sending love from America 🇺🇸.
Like you I also respect AA for their accomplishment. As an African people they certainly stand out. And I know there are lots of AA who will never support LB argument.
If this was true she would have taken video's. I lived in Miami amongst Haitians for years and none of this ever happened. They did not lived like this.
I personally had a haitian woman married to a fba man tell me her and her family didn't want to associate with fba because we were the lowest ppl in america and when she met her husband her family was upset because this is how they viewed him can you believe that smh this is a long time coming because this issue we have swept under the rug for far too long.
A lot of people have negative judgments on blacks whether Haitians, Africans or B Americans. Unfortunately, some of us are guilty. We Haitians have always been disparaged by others. One things that is for sure is that all other races/ethnicities are steps ahead of any blacks here.
What I find very interesting is that so many in the diaspora come to the country with preconceived ideas and unfounded biases towards BAs. Yet miraculously, they'll find a way to befriend us long enough to help them navigate the American systems that few other groups will care to bother.
I'm Haitian and i appreciate how black American were always there for us ,they fighr for us in congress, black celebrities, supporting us and i benefit the hard work of black culture and thank you

Few of my experiences with Haitians: A Haitian woman came on my street in a van recently. The passenger was about to get out of the vehicle. And the driver was calling my cat. I happened to come out of my residence. And said, these are my kittens. So the passengers returned to her seat. Then they drove off. 2. Another Haitian woman who i recognize from church ask me for my cat. And when i said we must discuss this she lied and said she'll be back. But she never returned. At the time i was rehoming the kittens. Suspicious!! 3. Finally, i allowed [assisting her needs] a Haitian, young woman to reside with me for 4 weeks. And in the first 2/3 days she was complaining about how much i cleaned. Even though my home wasn't up to a reasonable standard at the moment in the guest bedroom therefore i was preparing it for her. And she was COMPLAINING about how decent it was becoming. And she wouldn't voluntarily clean behind herself either. Never again!! In fact, she told me after telling her about the encounter, that some of her ppl do eat both or one.
About 10 yrs i have watched so many non americans talk negative about fba, now everyone is gonna get there wake up call when things are good they make sure to delineate, but when things are bad they wanna be invisible and be black smh, now they have to take there own L no more blaming us.

Thank you for your commentary Lady Boule. I'm a 64 year old woman from Haiti, who came to the US at 12 years old. During my middle school years, we were harassed daily by African Americans in that school. Every day, some of the AA would come to our english classroom and assault us by throwing chairs at us. I remember one instance where it got so bad that my sister and I held on to each other in fear, made a beehive to the door to get out of the classroom. Sad to say, these incidents were the first negative experiences my siblings and I went through, and they influenced my opinions of AAs. I didn't hate anyone, but I always kept my distance. And then I met Teal, an African American woman who became my best friend in college. Teal taught me another way to style my hair and we had fun learning from each other. She attended my wedding, and we both chose the name Tashira for my first child.

Respectfully, this video is a melting pot of stereotypes labeled as “Haitian culture”. It’s likened to people looking at the most recent BET Awards and labeling it as “African American culture” or “Black American Culture”. Highly disrespectful. I digress. In many countries outside of the U.S., the steering wheels of most vehicles are on the right hand side and it is the norm to drive on the left side of the road. I’m almost certain that would take any reasonable person some time to get used to if that has not been his/her norm. I wonder how many accidents have anything to do with that.
@@oceanlover2426 The sad reality is these are not stereotypes. This horrible behavior is happening and it's harming the country and the native citizens. Assimilation is a must.

The first woman that is addressing her city government with such a heaviness of heart I wonder if she ever thought once how Native Americans feel or think when they drive around the land that their own grandparents/ ancestors use to hunt and fish and if they too missed the good ole days when they could walk or ride on horseback for miles. I heard many Native Americans said when they would go to some of these towns they were told to go back to the reservation? I wonder too, do she think about many of those same places that she has such sweet childhood memories with her grandmother that perhaps Black people were not welcomed in those same spaces? " One man's meat can be another man's poison." Now for the Haitians that are coming here, they are coming here because of a lot of things, what mess going on in their country corruption display out for the world to see and a lot of what has been going on in Haitian goes all the way back to 1791 . But that is another story by itself. That city government are helping Haitian immigrants because they want cheap labor. Same game Americans do not want to work for peanuts anymore and to be honest many Americans think some work is just beneath them. Lady Bouie I live in Seattle Washington and in a community where many Blacks come from many countries. I also worked for an organization that worked with African Business owners that were impacted due to relocation issues where mitigation was necessary to assist those businesses affected due to a major public works project. Most Africans kept to themselves and most who came to this community were sponsored b white churches. Most were told not to associate with African Americans and painted a very negative view of our communities. This behavior caused them to feel that they were superior than we were. They quickly learned that they were not welcomed in the white communities if more than a very few lived there. They were forced to relocate to our communities. Relationships between competing communities (African Americans and Black Immigrants) continue to be very strained. I have met very few Haitians and those that I have had the opportunity to interact with act superior and because of the French influence look down on many in my community. My community also has many immigrants from South East Asia who are more welcoming than many African Immigrants. There are many resources available to immigrants than there are to African Americans, I believe in part because of low-self esteem and not being taught how to become better prepared if that makes sense.
Great points Lady Boule. We're not perfect here in the states, but we try to carry ourselves with respect and we know the boundaries of respect. Who let these people in here unsupervised and without ANY guidelines or expectations? It was the govt. They've been flying and boating them here in the dark. It wasn't a problem until this current group. Also, I don't think the Haitians are receiving the SAME kind of money and supportive services that the "brown" folks are. Why else would they be so desperate? They're blessed to be able to even get in here, because boats full of them were sent back. I also believe there's a cap on the number of "Blacks" allowed to come in here. There are upwards of 150 million or more illegal immigrants in this country since the Obama administration. This is no longer America. That was done away with by this administration when Biden QUIETLY signed the "Declaration of North America" in January 2023 combining: Canada, Mexico, South America, and the U.S. If you look at the origins of a lot of the foods you buy now, they're sourcing them from other countries. Wherever these people are living, it's the law (police) who set the tone for order. It's clear that they have been told to step down and give the "visitors" immunity, just like in NYC and Chicago. But yes, they need to learn how to act.

We (US Black Americans) did nothing negative to the country of Haiti. Yet, most come to the US treating us as if we did. So, for Haitian people coming to this the majority of Americans don't like "others" or at least are not quick to welcome others unless it benefit them. What they REALLY detest is someone speaking their native language in public. Keep your head down learn the custom and live well.
I had to laugh about the “barbaric soup” comment”. Living here, we are used to buying our meats packaged from the store so you never see or even think about how barbaric it is to slaughter any animals for consumption. Does she even realize what she’s saying. Killing any animals to cook is barbaric. I will never forget witnessing the slaughtering of a cow when I was young.

@@jlorde8838 I don’t know anything about Haitian using animals for sacrifice, I am catholic as the majority of Haitians are and I have only read about animal sacrifices in the Bible.

The pets are disappearing, not for food but for them to get parts to practice their voodoo.

It is my understanding that the migrants were brought to America for their labor. The US government should REQUIRE employers to provide comprehensive cultural immersion and competence training by professionals to give migrants the tools to successfully navigate in America. Civility is a valued commodity in America and uncivilized behavior by foreigners is not easily tolerated.
I wonder how civilized slavery and colonialism was. Perhaps neocolonialism is civilized? Or maybe having seemingly unlimited money for wars yet not enough to make sure that no child goes hungry is civilized. To some such injustice against humanity is uncivilized.
Good question!! Ask Biden/Harris . Their administration earned an A for immigration and economy. Let’s give them for more years!! Yeaaah!!
No, they were brought to develop a new voting Block, just like East Africans in Minnesota
@Soufside_Slim exactly, and I've residing in MN for the last several yrs(twin cities full of Somolians and good number of them aren't productive and are hard drug addicts that don't even try to progress themselves). Relieving one's self in public and throwing garbage in the street is hardly endemic to Haitians alone. One can easily find the very same behavior among predominantly FBA areas.

I agree that people should not fly their flags and respect the standards of the country you desperately wanted to get into.
Note: Those Un-American flags....now they know how it feels when African-Americans feel when we see their "Confederate Flags" flying. Double Standard there.
Why should they not fly their flags? Some sounding the most like colonizers in this thread are amongst the most denied in this land. Also, respectfully, the example of the Confederate flag flying is like comparing apples to hamburgers.
The Confederate flag is tied to trauma for African Americans/Black Americans. How would Haitians flying their flags be in any way similar to that? Why would it be so offensive to others for Haitians to be proud to be Haitian?

I'm not here to paint all Haitians with the same brush. However, many of them do exactly that with US Black Americans. We (US Black Americans) did nothing negative to the country of Haiti. Yet, most come to the US treating us as if we did.
I find it interesting that Pout-au-Prince and many other areas in Haiti are in chaos, yet cruise ships continuously dock in Labadee, Haiti.🤔
