It was a blessing to grow up with this ex-YU music.
Yes, absolutely.
Bjelo Dugme have a lot of effects in their songs that makes them unique and special in their own way.
We are very proud on our rock history and I must say that all these songs are still very popular... My kids now listen to them
Song "Kad bi bio bijelo dugme" - it is the song that changes the name of a band, before that song the band called "Jutro" (the morning). It is almost pure instrumental song, but you have to hear how good it is, it has so strong guitar parts and it is the most influential song that represents the whole 70' generation in former Yugoslavia.
"Bijelo dugme" is a revolutionary band in former Yugoslavia because it opened rock to the pure and worker class, before that it was only the music of highly educared and welth people. So Dugme through its music and texts brought roxk to everyone from 7 to 77 years old, literaly they had the biggest impact on the music scene for decades...

Goran Bregović autor i gitarist. Napisao dosta glazbe za filmove. Surađivao s Igi Popom.
Many people in the former Yugoslavia do not know that the *Bijelo dugme* group has a *tribute* in Macedonia caled same only in macedonian *Belo kopche*
And I can say that they "sound" very well.
Bijelo Dugme and biggest bands from ex. YU are from Sarajevo - Bosnia!!!
Korni grupa. The song : ETIDA. The most beautiful voice of that time. The singer :: Zlatko Pejaković/ Zlatko Peyakovich. You won t regret it.
❤
😂😂😂😂
My favourite band, they got heaps of great songs...
Najbolja ploća posneta u živo na prostorima bivše države.
1. Croatian/Bosnian/Serbian are linguistically same languages with 100% mutual intelligibility. Back in Yugoslavia dominant official language was called Serbo-Croatian.
2. Bijelo Dugme is pronounced BEE--Y-A- LO DOOH-GH-MEH. In our languag(es) whenever you see the letter J, it is always pronounced as Y.
3. Love you reviews and glad you are enjoying our legendary music. Brings me back to my childhood
🤟
Better DOOH-GH-MEH.
U is actually in english pronounced A.

@@user-kf5de4vm6tjeli se ovaj bend zove i piše Belo Dugme ili Bijelo Dugme? I ne provaljuj se,ja sam propratio dosta njihovih koncerata a tada možda nisi bio niti rođen.
Holy shit!
I can’t believe that I’ve never heard this tune, from Bijelo dugme. I thought I knew them all.
Amazing stuff!
@Robk Reacts
Regarding language question…
It is all, one and the same language.
Meaning: Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian and Hecegovian, Montenegrian.
Slovenian and Macedonian are little bit different, but understandable, at the end too.
It’s just that nacionalist, sick fucks, had to call it different languages. And now, you can often hear them, how those are separate, different languages, while understanding each other perfectly and debating in same
language. It’s sczhizofreny insanity! :)
Bijelo dugme - White button , one of the best Yugo rock band
1977 🤯 Jugo Jugo rodna grudo
Be yellow doug mey, is appromaxively the way to pronounce it.
Thanks for your reaction, man. This band still rules in ex-yougoslavia. Legends!
Be Yellow is about right . But you are way off on the Dugme . Doog Meh is the proper transliteration .
"Bijelo Dugme" = { Beeyellow Dooghmeh } pronunciation... White Button, meaning. 🙂Tnx 4 the reaction. You`re welcome.😉😊🙂
What a great channel bro. Thanks for your reactions 🙏 I think that exYu music scene were on the top of the world in that time. Of course english is much easier for worldwide popularity, but those talented guys from Yugoslavia.... My favorite band is actually from '80. The new wace of Yugoslavian rock'n'roll, EKV is the name.

I will try to do a more accurate and slightly better translation than the one in the video, I assume that google translator was used, so the meaning of the song has changed a lot and when I read it, it sounds a lot different. We should understand the context of the song. He is in a tavern and he is burning in with drunkenness and emotions. He asks, almost beg the musician to play for him more and more because he wants to dance, and he woulkd do enything for it.
playin (perform music) - he speak to the musician
one woman knows
why can't I sleep, I'm dancing alone
I'll give my last penny
only to dance more
playin , my blood is boiling tonight
I coloring the world with wine , I'm burning up
I'll give my last penny
only to dance (more)
playin to me all night
playin to me all night
I'll give you a house
I will give you my soul
I will sell my horse
I will give you everything
just make me dance
\
PS
Excellent video, I don't blame anything related to the translation, only someone who understands the language in which the song is sung can know that. Kudos for the effort and it's a great pleasure to watch someone from your speaking area listening to music from Yugoslavia. If it weren't for the language barrier, I'm sure, in addition to the UK and the USA, Yugoslav music would be side by side with theirs
BYELO DUGME :)
If you like this, than you definitely must react to" ZNAM ZA JEDNO TIHO MESTO", also from Bijelo Dugme , another great song with similar vibe

It's BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA band
come and visit Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Slovenia.. enjoy with us in Old Yugoslavia with our company and our music.. very spactacual bend is ,,Riblja Čorba" ❤
Try the following pronunciation: bee-yellow doogh-mae. It's as close as you can get in English ;)
Why you guys doing "mae" . It is not "mae" . It is Meh . In English , people will think like "Mae West" and that is incorrect .
Goran Ipe Ivanidić, drummer
Goran Bregović is still their front man. I bet you are already familiar with his work as well. Just dig deaper.
Greetings Mr. Rob,
I was watching your videos and you did cover so to say most influential bands, but there is anothers who are equally great. I would like to suggest you to give a chance to a band called "Majke - Mene Ne Zanima". I think you will much appreciate their Blues/Rock sound.
Thank you and Have a nice day!

@RobkReacts If you want to hear really good music of the 80s in Yugoslavia, with which many people grew up and are still active, listen to the band Šarlo Akrobata - "Oko moje glave", "Niko kao ja" or "Pečati". It's a true 80's urban rockandroller. The band Bijelo Dugme was a group for people from the countryside, they were not really liked by people from cities.
Da su sa engleskog govornog podrucija bili bi poznati kao Dip Parpl.
