It's not just the good historical position and cheaper workforce, they are afraid because they can lose their power in the Europe if the Slavs chose to unite. Seriously who would stop us? We are the biggest ethnic group in the Europe and over half of the continent is ours, if we chose to unite there would be nothing that the western countries could do

I miss the time when I was a yugoslav and my homecountry was Yugoslavia, now it is all split, but I still have roots left in Croatia but my heart is Serbia and that is my current home❤

Tito was Marshall in ww2 and partisan leader. After ww2 he was life time president of Yugoslavia. He died in 1980 and 10 years after Yugoslavia broke down in a bloody war. Capital of Serbia, Belgrade, was capital of Yugoslavia. Other countries constisting Yugoslavia were Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Macedonia.

Bijelo Dugme (White Button) was the most popular band of the Yugoslav popular music, but I think that was not the best choice. Led by famous composer Goran Bregović, Bijelo dugme (beeyeloh doogmeh) always tried to sound counterporary, but in 1986, it was not so good. I suggest their prog rock period from mid 7os. From their second album in 1975. "Požurite konji moji" mas pinnacle of their shepherd rock trademark. ua-cam.com/video/fr_KfJ3u0HI/v-deo.html I think you would like it more. Lyrics is traditional poetry-like, about guy who hurries his horses to bring him to his darling. Video quality is poor, but song is excellent.

Cult Yugo song, but... Is it just me or am I just stupid - this is "Eye of the tiger" original. "Bijelo dugme" or rather Goran Bregović is known for "borrowing" the melody. A friend of mine once said: Bregović is the first person who plagiarized himself. ... Bregović was signed for the music for the film "Queen Margot" (1994, a good film), and in Croatia, the Croatian song from Dalmatia "Jute san se zajubija" (I fell in love with you) immediately caught on.
