Hi man, I have been watching your videos for a few months now and loving the content, I am a 20 year old videographer from the Netherlands. I soon have introduction days for the Air Mobile Brigade of the Dutch Army coming up soon, so hopefully I'll get in there🤞🏼
bro, I can't guide myself, it'd be better if you put chapters of each job in the minutes of the video. thanks for the information though, appreciate it a lot.
You do not dress up in civies for DLI and it is not chill unless you already know the language. The school is hands down one of the harder courses and has an equal passing rate with the navy nuclear engineering program.
im shipping out on the 16th. i chose 74D (CBRN), and it had the option for Airborne + Ranger. im feeling worried CBRN isnt the best choice. i really wanted to do MP but Airborne or Ranger wasn't available with that
In the hotel rn, gotta wake up soon to finish up my 2nd portion of meps (physical tests, all that shit) and sign off on my contract take my oath going 11b infantry army 💪
Just to foreworn anyone who wants to do signals intelligence, if he's talking about 35P then it's not a straightforward process to get that job specifically from what I understand with signing up. I signed up as a 35W, which is a linguist, and that's what I'll be going to Monterey for, but after that I think I'll be put in either 35M or 35P, whichever one they need. 35P is the signals, while 35M is human intelligence. For AIT, I'll be going to Monterey for over a year, and then I'll have even more for either 35M or 35P. I haven't gone through it yet but from what I've researched this seems to be how it is. If anyone is a 35M or 35P and has been through the training, can you explain how the process works?
I chose 74D CBRN Specialist, i ship out September 3rd, i picked it cuz it looked cool but i heard its not that cool when ur not in a cbrn unit so fingers crossed lol, and hopefully i can find a civilian job near me that needs some1 like me (i was so close to being a mechanic but i heard the hours r brutal and in my head i was thinkin a mechanic or a cbrn and cbrn sounded like itd be a better civilian job)
You need to shave unless you get a shaving profile. Meaning your skin gets irritated or bumps when you shave. It’s like this across all branches as far as I know of
So I wanna join infantry because that’s just what my heart is set on but I’d also like to do one of these high paying jobs. Can I do both somehow? Like do my time in infantry and then if I possibly re enlist can I then learn a trade?
To expand what you were saying AIT is 16 weeks, you get a top secret clearance and if you want to translate the MOS to civilian side after you get experience doing the job and a bachelor’s you can get into 3 letter agencies like FBI,NSA etc
Yo Aaron I have a question related to starting my own business if I was to join the AF. I’m big into pest control and want to start a pest control business asap, so would you recommend joining the Air Force bc they have a pest management job to get experience or would you say to try and start right after high school?
I'm heading to basic in September, enlisted as a 19k. Any suggestions or advice that you can give me? What's AIT gonna be like? Do I get to travel home before AIT too? Thanks!
if you have christmas in between your pcs to ait, you get that time off otherwise no. Combat mos ait is gonna continue just like basic, a little more relaxed fosho though.
That "defense of our freedom" part is laughable. Raytheon, BlackRock and Lockheed own the military. But I'm still considering cuz they also make living unaffordable otherwise.
@@AaronbTV hes right. Starting pay is 6 figures. Unless you have prior experince such as military you cant even be an air traffic controller if your passed the age of 30
Maybe National Guard will be better for you. College still gets paid for and you can do anything you want with your time with the exception of drill once a month of the weekend and 2 weeks of Annual Training
What was you guys enlistment bonus if you don’t mind me asking? I see it’s up to $45k at this time but I heard it also goes by contract. I was thinking on going for 4 years
its cool, but better to stay in with that mos, doesn't really translate to well civilian side alone. If you can become a military contractor it might pay decent.
Only word of advice I could give to anyone looking to go in or even reclass into a different MOS. Go for a job that will cross over to the civilian world. IT is a big one that crosses over and can get you into a great paying position right away.
also anything with a TS security clearance (all the 35 series jobs) will land you a job close to 6 figures with only a few years experience. You could do one contract, get out, and you'll be set.
