Thank you Aaron for your videos. Especially this one, I'm joining the military because in my years in the private sector I couldn't find a suitable environment. Weather it was dodgy coworkers who always chewed on each other or management that gave no fucks for their employees I couldn't rest or be at peace with the situations and I was going crazy trying to change the places I was at. So I'm joining the military in hopes that not only will they instill in me the discipline I need to keep myself straight but the qualities of leadership I hope to use to live a good life and bring positive changes to the world.
Birth certs are a rarity in AFG. They used to use the “tascara” system. Everyone lies about their age. Families don’t even know their family members true age/birthdate, sometimes. Also, they’re on a different calendar. It’s like year 1400 over there. I know. I was the first one of my family born in the US. Most of my family don’t know their exact dates. Some made up their birth cert for benefits in 80’s 90’s in USA when they got here lol. This guy is truly late 20’s. But great story nonetheless!

I’m a military police/ 31 B and I’m national guard but I agree that the pay should definitely be increased especially with the huge shift going on with 31 B in particular, making it harder to rank up. Even though I’m still 18 years old I don’t think it’s going to be easy to benefit off the army

Put in 20 years. Invest 30% of every paycheck in index funds. You get 50% retirement in the navy after 20 years, between that and the index funds.....you can retire. Or if you don't want to just sit, keep an easier part time job

Get an extensive eye exam. I was pursuing WOFT in the army, basically a helicopter pilot program, but I got disqualified because of my eyes. If you’re interested in joining the military in general I would highly suggest getting your eyes checked for Keratoconus because that’s an automatic disqualifier for the military as a whole, but if your recruiter knows how to finesse you could still secure a job in the military that doesn’t require constant eye exams. Hope you find that useful and good luck out there!

I dont know but if If I do find out later on in life, im doing it.
