6:40 China is not the only one that uses the C rating. It is a long established term in battery science.
Thanks
+1. Appreciate the explanation but you made it sound like a foreign, new concept. It’s just a battery capacity-agnostic way to measure charge and discharge rates.
And we do have “higher C-rate” chargers in the US. A 350 kW DC fast charger used with a 70 kWh pack would be 5C.
When I started in stamping in Brampton in 96 we had AGVs moving blanks from the blanket to the the press. Those bmw units are
Nothing new.
All the fancy features Honda and Sony are planning to add to their future EVs can already be found in some Chinese EVs, which just shows you how far ahead Chinese EVs are visavis the rest of their peers.
At the Chinese car shows, as people approach the Afeela booth, they will get sleepy 🥱.
"What, no refrigerator?"
I think the primary fancy feature is "has spiderman".
Also, I already have a phone and a tablet
Where are all the people saying "I don't want no TVs in my car!" and "Don't nobody need that crap!"? Those people all die or something? Never hear that anymore. It was Media bait back when Tesla released the Model S back in 2012!
Not making a Sandero joke during the Dacia segment is a missed opportunity! :D
Here's to hoping some Fisker engineer releases all the data the owners will need to fix the cars themselves.
Bankruptcy doesn’t mean out of business. It’s just reorganizing their debts. GM filed bankruptcy before and they are doing fine now.
2:58 we get it, Auto Focast Solutions is very pro 2027 😂
Thanks Sean. Have a great day everyone.
Good luck finding 5C charging stations is totally ridiculous statement. If a battery is 60kWh like Teslas RWD and charger is 300kW then you have 5C! Chargers are ready. Batteries aren't. Ofc not many above 300kW but best would be smaller batteries with higher C-rating!
newest chargers in germany are 400kW. they already have many 350kW chargers.
These shows are great productions. Professional , concise, and fun to listen to.
Auto Forecast Solutions does not have a track record.
They are a company that has ZERO predictions that anyone has ever heard of.
Elon predicted that the Model Y would be the best selling car in the world first by revenue then by numbers. What did AFS say about that?
Dacia has really moved up the right way
A "soundproof car" you say? I'll believe it when I see it..... I mean, when I don't hear it. 😏
Thanks Sean. Have you done any interesting repairs lately? I replaced a high pressure fuel pump on a friends car the other day.
About time. I feel sorry for all the first time Fisker buyers.
When Frisker started in the luxury market, it was fine at that time and for the well to do. But that market is now saturated and limited. If they focussed on smaller and cheaper then there may be an manufacturer to take up the technology and manufacturing.
Dacia is really strong here in Europe, last years they upped their game and made some great cars. Their Duster SUV and Jogger family hauler are just awesome 😊
Bottom line from this report: There is not enough market demand to justify the number of new EVs being built. The ones being sold are simply ones that have already built a reputation from past years.
Soundproof cars? Make it happen yesterday!
Take the engine out and that helps a lot
@@jamesvandamme7786 Bingo! And don't use a fake motor engine to "simulate" the experience. It's cheesy and annoying!
Yesterday is when it would be relevant, now that we have EVS
NHTSA will have a fit if the cars can't be heard by a blind man from 30 feet away!
Unless it is a Mercedes... then it is ok.
Mercedes make the most quiet ICE cars in the world and the NHTSA is "silent" on the matter.
Yes Mercedes with a gas engine are quieter than a Tesla is allowed to be.
Oh no i cannot ‘believe’ they filed for bankruptcy. I was waiting for this to happen
Not enough market demand for Ford & GM BEV, not for Tesla & Rivian.
Same thing happened to Fisker as the last time.
Henrik Fisker will be fine. Every company he bankrupts he makes another several million.
The plane... the plane!
When will everybody realize GM is all talk.
Seems a bit of a stretch. They’ve made around 575,000,000 vehicles, more than any company, ever.
So is Tesla
Mary? Surely not.
They never will! 😂
Musk is the king of broken promises .
Autoforcast who?
I think that I’m hearing you say e-rev. But, I don’t know what that means.
A plug in hybrid pickup truck with a big engine, this is great for 2010
Extended range electric vehicle. Series hybrid where the combustion engine is there to solely recharge the battery.
No way they named that turd the A12. Thats the name of the coolest plane ever.
So it's a golf cart
Who said Roadster delayed, OK Autoforcast so must be true
Roadster - wasn't that car promised for the best referral earners ?
And: a roadster is a car with a removeable roof but this onre rather looks like a usual coupe or maybe Porsche 911 Targa roof concept.
Roadster will be ready in 2040.
where do you see it has a 200 kwh battery also roadster v1 has been released and it will come.
The original announcement said it would be 2x the capacity of the Model S
@@JD-yx7be The cybertruck also claimed 500 miles and was released with half that. They were just making numbers up.
100kwh
Afila entertainment would be great for people that don't own a cell phone or a tablet but on a $50,000 car
Just imagine if you put that $50k in TSLA when roadster2 was announced.
I can't imagine a more direct way to say tesla is a meme stock before it is a company.
@@ethanwelner1230 Really, you can't?
The statement says nothing of the sort so I find that very peculiar indeed.
Perhaps you should take a look at the accomplishments since 2017 and put some effort into understanding the valuation.
@@thesolarfutureenthusiast1102 "Imagine if, instead of trusting this company to deliver a product it took pre orders on you had instead invested in that company!"
I understand that the meme stock tsla enjoyers dont care much about business reality but seriously, can you at least think about this statement for a few seconds? Imagine if you had, instead of trusting a company to deliver a product, instead decided against buying anything it sells and just trusting that the stock would go to the moon. That is a direct admission that teslas value has nothing to do with its ability to ship cars and that you shouldnt even think of it as a company that sells a product. That is the same logic behind crypto booms and NFTs. Its no wonder its largely the retail investors obsessing over both.
Also, lets be honest. They accomplished a lot but their current valuation has nothing to do with their accomplishments. They're still like 10th in global revenues and volume sold. They didnt accomplish any of the pie in the sky robotaxi stuff. What, exactly, have they accomplished in the last few years that justifies their valuation? It seems like its all still based on the future where they sell 20 million robocars on mars.
@@thesolarfutureenthusiast1102 I don't understand how to get a response to this comment through youtubes censorship. I keep trying. Suffice to say that the idea that you should invest in tesla instead of buying its vehicles is textbook meme stock behavior and isnt how any of this is SUPPOSED to work. Its much more similar to how NFTs or crypto pyramid schemes work.
@@ethanwelner1230 Teslas valuation has a lot to do with it's ability to ship product, just nothing to do with their ability ( or admitted lack of ability ) to ship the roadster.
I did think about it for a few seconds and it didn't relate in any way to MEME's
The valuation can only be justified by future growth. There is still future growth though in Cybertruck, Semi, Stationary storage and supercharger network.
With future products of the compact having been announced and 2 other future unannounced vehicles in the works.
FSD is delivering revenue and probably profits and making the vehicles safer for those willing to pay for it.
Anecdotes of individual crashes don't change the miles per accident data.
Then you get free moonshots on robotaxi and optimus.
Tesla’s new model Roadster, 2025 in production said Elon!😊 AutoForecast is wrong!😮
Oh, cool. Is that the same elon that promised it 7 years ago? The one who is a chronic liar and who hasn't met a street date for a single product ever?
@ethanwelner1230 delayed but always delivers the goods to 👏
I don’t really what is Porsche’s digital twin battery…
Whaaaaat!? Roadster is delayed@#&^%?!
Un-be-frikkin-lieveable
I still it cute that GM cuts all its affordable cars from its lineup then wonders why it can't move over-priced EV's... If you bothered to offer anything affordable and of quality, it would move...

2025 Tesla Roadster MSRP is estimated to be $200K!😊 Could be off by $50K so $150K to $250K! The rocket model will be the at least $250K with a 0-60 under 1 second!🚀
@@Agent77X The rockets aren't street legal anywhere, don't work (or even make sense from an engineering standpoint), and the car isn't coming out in 2025. It's probably not coming out ever, but it's definitely not coming out next year.

Well, I suppose GM could surprise the heck out of everyone by making modernized versions of Bolt and Volt at Lake Orion if no other products are going on there. I know, I know, why would GM give customers something(s) that they want??

leapmotor is good, just not too standout, their designs are too generic, so almost nobody ever heard about them.
They should just cancel Roadster , we have Model S , how many Roadsters are they really going to sell ⁉️
A soundproof car is dangerous. You should be able to hear emergency vehicles when you’re driving. I’m not sure if the will get hands off driving but this can lead to accidents.
Roadster is a rich guy’s toy. I have zero interest in it. A Flying Roadster will just cause a bad accident and trigger an NHTSA investigation.
NHTSA are not in control of flight. That would be the FAA! lmao
The rich set the eye candy for the poor people and they end up buy it to show their status as being the fake rich!🤑
The Afeela looks awesome
EV startups and legacy auto must compete with Tesla, already far ahead in production and profitability scaling; not to mention five years ahead in it's software.achitecture and Full Self Driving.
There are actually people who pre-ordered the Roadster?
Well, maybe in ten years it will come out… as an autonomous flying bulletproof vehicle perfect for cruising those colonies on Mars, at an hyperloop speed of course
SpaceX monopolizing on space launches, fast reliable satellite internet, sending astronauts to the space station, sold the most EV at high margin, etc. Salty tears. Roadster, Model S, or X could be axed, and there wouldn't be a significant impact on Tesla's profit. Hyperloop was just an idea, and it was done by another company that ended the project.
First they have to figure out why FSD keeps running into emergency vehicles on the cheap cars before they make the expensive ones

The Tesla Roadster has always been vaporware. Elon promised it would have a 200kwh battery. That's 2 Model S P100 batteries stacked on top on one another. 🤣🤣🤣
Roadster is not high on Tesla priority same with Model S or X but you wouldn't know what that mean. It means not relevant to Tesla's goals. Those projects don't accelerate to transition to sustainability. It will come when it comes. Salty as salty goes.
Actually, it could be much lighter than that, given the years of progress in battery tech.
@@nguyep4 Tesla does not transition us to sustainability. No car company does that. The sustainability thing was just greenwashed marketing nonsense. Teslas AI centers use colossal amounts of power derived from dirty sources and Elon focus's all his attention on X these days. He only pretends to care about tesla for the paycheck.
@@davidmenasco5743 Those years of progress have not come close to that level of improvement and the progress made almost entirely related to cost savings, not weight. The roadster was a lie. Just as the cybertruck was when it came out with half the range that was promised.

This is BS, this information is not from Tesla. 😂😂
It's just not exactly important for their mission, aside from being a halo product, so keeps getting bumped back in the queue.
I think people get a bit too invested in the inconsequential stuff and tunnel vision out of seeing the big picture.
Their unique manufacturing advances, the continued evolution toward modularization, is the key to them entering the entry Camry/Corolla segments next, thus addressing the most important price brackets on a global scale.
That is the logical path toward replacing ICE, which is the main course. They can add the dessert anytime along the way.

Not sure why you report that about the roadster today. Tesla has clearly said big announcements coming 8/8/24 and three new vehicles....

The Roadster is not Tesla priority. It will come when it comes. Tesla has little to gain from Roadster except take away time and effort from other pressing matters. They are probably working on it but will fewer resources allocated for said reasons.
Who believes anything Musk says , gullible ones .
@@nguyep4maybe so. But at $250,000 they should profit about as much from one of them, as maybe 5 Model 3’s. They could produce fewer cars, at a MUCH higher profit margin. They have excess inventory of 3’s, and Y’s now. Seems there is room in the market, (as it would likely be a different type of buyer than their other offerings)to produce them.
Just as with the Cybertruck, in order to produce the Roadster, they will need a place to make it.
Fremont is famously bursting at the seams now. Can Austin build another model on top of the current two? Perhaps. But even if there is enough space, how many people can they find in that area who will work those 12 hour shifts?

Anyone plunking down $50k reservation on a roadster is counting on flipping it for significantly more money as soon as it's delivered. Anyone who doesn't has made one of the worst investment decisions ever by allowing your money to idle regardless of whether you can afford to do so, proving that rich does not equal smart.
Sad about Fisker. No surprise about Tesla roadster, given P.T. Barnum is running the company and took 2 of every 3 dollars of company profits for himself.
Well, so far Elon's gotten about $1/year in salary. Profits in 2023 were $13B in gross profit - none of which went to Elon. He does have stock that he purchased early on when he invested millions when no one else would, and more options for making Tesla a success, which he's not allowed to sell for 5 years. Not sure why you hate Elon for making a successful company but seem to love a failure like Fisker that scammed his investors, employees and customers.
Fisker burned a half billion ($529 million) in tax payer money. Electric cars are producing some great looking vehicles but I think they are probably doomed at the present. I dislike the constant futile lies to try and push them on us. 1000 hp does not translate into anything useful -- electric cars cannot sustain high speeds without draining all their range. What good is zero to 60 in 2 seconds if you can't cruise at 85 mph with losing 2/3 of your range. If the technology improves great I'm all for it we will need it as hydrocarbons become hard to find.
