Hi Zdenka, Hi Are u able to make a video for it’s calibration, i just got the same gimbal last month and not able to calibrate, it says wrong calibration. May be i have to contact them to replace it. Thanks
The new version is very limited. I tested it on the S23 and on an iPhone, and it's very different. Do you remember which version you used in the video?
It was a clever way to solve changing fronm landscape to portrait with just changing the tripod base! Great video as always!!

Hello! Thanks for the video. One question, do you know if the quick mount plate works with the PGYTech ones? Or if there are any quick mount plates that I could use on my tripod that aloud me to also use them with this gimbal? Thank you!
Unfortunately no. There is a special shape to it which fits into the base
Thanks for the video. Here is my problem. I need to move the phone to the side to allow room to plug the mic in. I have a note 20 ultra so it's large. With a phone this size will I still be able to balance it and could it handle the weight as it would be to the side and not centered. I use wireless mics as well as wired lavs. I have been eyeing up the Moza aircross S as well. Would that be a better option. Thanks for the videos. 👍

Well done, completed video, you just didn’t say about if it's possible to use the smartphone in a vertical way, is it?
It doesn’t have the ability to film in vertical mode, that is why it wasn’t shown
I cannot figure out how to unlock the vertical tilt axis. The screw won’t turn unless I pull it up. Manual shows a turning motion. Any advice? I want to do the balance where the lens faces up.
Unfortunately, I would have to see exactly what is happening.. it is hard to advise just by reading it… try to see if someone else made a tutorial how to balance this on UA-cam

Hi Zdenka, I really love your video style. Refreshing authentic and original style. I wonder how you would compare the Crane M3 S with the Hohem iSteady 6 for smartphone filming. Which one would be better?
Crane M3 is harder to balance as it is mainly for big cameras. The other gimbal is for smartphones only… so that is the difference
I saw that your iPhone 14 Pro is already not fully centered in the Hohem 6. As I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, I’m afraid that the imbalance will even be more pronounced, and adding my anamorphic lense plus filters will make things even worse. That makes me hesitating, else I would already have ordered the Hohem M6 kit.

The best thing for you would be checking out the compatibility list on their website. You will be able to see your camera make and what functions are compatible
Hi Zdenka: I would like to know how you're getting into the ZY Play application to use the 'phone as the camera' as shown in your video. I have been communicating with Zhiyun-Tech on this and don't know themselves... I have the new gimbal and tried to use a Samsung S9+ and can't get passed the camera control screen. I have a S23 Ultra on order since; that is the Samsung phone that Zhiyun uses in their advertisements. I will more than likely be doing a video on my experience with this. Appreciate the video and thank you in advance for your consideration in a reply.
Simple answer.. Android especially Samsung is very limited. It is quite known that all gimbals have some sort of limitation with Android phones
I don't know why, when I put mine in vertical mode it cannot hold my camera (zve10)

For the added features, probably not worth upgrading from the M3, but if you don't already own one it is certainly worth considering.

Can you tell me if I put another holder will it be able to accept the phone (iphone 13max)
I think it could work, but this is very difficult for me to say for sure. I have to test it to be able to confirm.

How can you zoom in and out? I settled the Control Wheel to EZoom but is not doing anything. I'm using an iPhone with a Moment lens.
Zoom is only for mirrorless cameras I believe
This or the hohen mt2 for iPhone videography with moment lens?
If you only need it for smartphone go with Hohem M6 … if you need to use it also with mirrorless then either of them is fine
Does your phone connect to the Gimble? And you able to use all the buttons of the Gimbal? Or is it only the stabilization that works? thanks

Hi Zdenka, thank you for an excellent review. I am an amateur photographer and shoot stills and some family video. I have a Canon 60D from 2012 and I will not update any soon. But I am going to shoot with smartphone. Family videos, trips, vacations. I really like the gimbal idea, I really like this gimbal but I feel that it is way too much only for smartphone so I am also checking Hohem iSteady M6. Could you please tell me which to choose? Yes M6 would be a better choice as it has new AI tracking sensor

No… not always… I check audio levels and make sure to adjust audio accordingly
Great video! I am thinking about buying the gimbal for it's vast usability. I am using a Canon 700D which is not listed as a compatible device. I want to know how does the setup like this work? May I put a camera that fits in the weight limit of the gimbal and it would just stabilize no problem? Or will it be very difficult?
If it is under the maximum payload, then it should work. However, you might be able to use it only as a stabilizer. Simply, if you connect the camera gimbal, you might not get some of the functions. That is something I really can’t answer as I would have to test.

Vertical mode has been shown in the video…. Yes it is quite strong
What gimbal is the best for buy ? Smooth 5s or Crane M3s
5s is for smartphones only and crane is mainly for mirrorless… plus smartphones..

Lets say we have iphone 12/13 mini and latest Sony experia .I am amazed by low light hdr quality which i just saw .
Now both phones are under 200 grams means that i can mount CLP filter for reflections and some ND filter for too much sunlight .
Which phone gimbal will you recommend .

My M3 isn't charging my Sony ZV 1. I have the correct cable connecting the camera to the M3. I can start and stop recording using the M3, but for some reason, the M3 is not charging the camera. Must be a settings issue? I've tried a couple of different settings, but no luck yet. Suggestions? We are going to Europe soon and I'd like the gimbal charging the camera so I don't have to change batteries every half hour.

Hi, I had a problem with my zhyiun smooth 5s using it for only 3 times. I want to buy a stronger gimbal for my smartphone but I wouldn't want spend too much. I was thinking about buy the Crane M3 but in your vídeo you said it had no app. My doubt is if I can use the app ZY Play with M3 as M3S. Help me !

I am having a bear of a time connecting my M3s to my iPhone 14 pro max and getting into the zy play app. I am not seeing the camera functions on the app. I am probably connected wrong but I was wondering if you could help me?
I’m sorry you are having trouble. This is very difficult to help if I don’t see what is happening with the phone. Try to call the phone settings and try to put their notes in the ZY play app… hopefully that will resolve it. Once you are paired with the gimbal, then you will be seeing the extra stuff and ZY Play.

Do you have a special ZY play app? Mine doesn't have such functionality, there is not any option to switch to smartphone mode unlese you paring the gimbal with smartphone only
If you have Android the chances are that your phone is not fully compatible

@@thomiequinn the zhiyun app for phones doesn't work with Crane M3s, some youtubers are not very accurate with the content they are posting. If you want real hybrid gimbal 100% working with light mirrorless cameras, phones and even action cameras pick the Hohem iSteady MT2, and you can switch between phone and camera modes in Hohem Joy app

Hi i brought mine like 3 weeks ago but its just Zhiun crane M3... Not M3S.... ? the screen display looks like the same as mine it has asian and english menu... it has all the menus like yours.. But it does not have Blue tooth... and the part of the frame to hook a camera or phone is diferent then mine. But the rest is all identical the same.....
Mine was the COMBO which means mine came bigger longer leg stands like the same one as your M3S.... if you buy just the gimbal itself it comes with a smaller sizes leg stand..
So its confusing with this M3S because rest is the same as if you brought the combo M3 but only the big diferents there.. is the black part of the body gimbal where its diferent then the M3 the part where you attatch the camera or phone to the gimbal. And only whats diferents is theres nbo bluetooth settings on mine. But thats the only 2 diferences... The rest looks the same as M3S 2 language menus... has the same menus..... But no bluetooth settings.
The leg stand looks the same as the one you have which makes the gimbal taller.
I love my zhiyun m3... BIG diferences in how im filming.
Out of question when i live vlog lets say city walks. I want steady at all times like a profetional using a smart phone and this gimbal. Should i always set it as PAN FOLLOW or just FOLLOW? notice Pan follow made things very smooth But... notice i forgot to lift the camera up as i was showing a building.....
but thats too easy when i live vlog... if i have it set as PAN FOLLOW at all times can i still change it to FOLLOW for a second to show a building ? And then back to Pan follow... but remember im filming non stop and not stoping the camera.
Or should i just use the Joystick instead ? even if i set it to pan follow? Yes i do city walking videos and i keep walking straight.
I just notice PAN FOLLOW seems extremly smooth profetional as i walk in the city as i film.. Same follow.. but follow almost feels like im just giggling around almost like a shaky hand because im looking in all directions. But Pan follow makes it almost like a profetional striahgt forward not shaky sort of feel to it. But what happens if i want to show a building left to right or up and down should i change it to FOLLOW and and the Pan dollow ? But im filming non stop so not sure how that would turn out to be. But same time the gimbal has a joystick same time. So yes theres a few options to select or they all do the same more or less.

Thank you for your comment.. yes you have the original version of crane M3. As far as vlogging goes. I use pan follow mode for walking and adjust the frame with joystick… I hope this helps
@@ZdenkaDarula Great i will continue to use (Pan follow) way smoother and in fact even better then just (follow mode only) Only issue with that is... the toystick is so fast when i press it... is there a way to slow down the joystick movements ? as in slightly smoother and slowly or do i have to somehow manage to gently touch the joystick slowly ? When i want move up and down or left to right.
⚠️ WARNING : OBJECT TRACKING with SMARTPHONE via ZY PLAY APP interface is NOT POSSIBLE with Crane M3S. It only provides stabilization for smartphones. It doesn’t support the keys.

It will be just a standard mount you would use if you were filming dashboard. As long as there is at the bottom of the ability to attach a screw.
