    OMGGG so you're telling me that i can ink a curve in separate strokes??? no wonder why my inking sucks, i always tried to reach the whole curve in one stroke and obviously failing. this video is pure gold, thank you!!

      Thank you so much for watching my video. Absolutely. I ink curves with different strokes and connect them all the time. Best way to get smooth flowing lines. Thank you, blkngoldsolsier! I have other videos where I’m drawing or inking on real time. Where I also talk about why and how. In fact, one of my more recent video is about three and a half hours long. I do break it up on chapters, sketching, penciling, inking, and coloring. Check it out if you haven’t already. That’s a very informative video. If you enjoy these videos and like to see more, please subscribe to my channel for more tutorials. Thank you again!

    • @WaldenWongArt
      @WaldenWongArt  2 роки тому

      Hi JD. Thank you for watching my video. That’s a great question and I think I’ll make a video about just that… how to get king sweeps and have them look crisp and not wobbly. Thank you for the suggestion. Make sure you’re subscribe to my channel and have the notification one. So when I upload new videos, you won’t miss that one. Thank you again!

    How your brush doesn't fray out when you swipe to produce the lines (keeping thin lines) idk! It's so hard :( lovely video Wong

    • @WaldenWongArt
      @WaldenWongArt  6 років тому +3

      Thank you, Tony! When I use the brush, I'm very light handed. Almost to the point where I'm just gliding only the tip of the brush to the surface of the paper. When I need a thicker line, that's when I press down lower.

    Amazing work and incredible control! Did you have to add water to the ink to let the ink flow through the brush pen more easily?

    • @WaldenWongArt
      @WaldenWongArt  6 років тому +3

      Hi Alex! When I ink, I don't add water to it. It does help to make the ink more fluid, but I don't add water because I want the inks to be as dark as it can be. The only time I add water to ink is when I'm doing ink washes. Adding water will give the inks a different shade of grey depending on how much water you use. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

    Hey Walden, Great video. Do you have ink loaded in the water brush as well as dipping?

    • @WaldenWongArt
      @WaldenWongArt  6 років тому +1

      Thanks for watching and subscribing, Al! I don't load the ink into the water brush, I just dip it as I like to control how much ink is on the tip and not worry about squeezing it out, or squeeze too much of it out if it's loaded. I just use it like a regular brush.

    Nice! What kind of brush pen is this? And do you have any recommendations for brush pens?

    • @WaldenWongArt
      @WaldenWongArt  5 років тому

      Hi Ronald Acosta! That's a Pentel Aquash Water color brush pen. I've added links under the video if you wanted to get one for yourself. It's a great brush pen and keeps on ticking with low maintenance. Thank you for watching and subscribing!

    • @rraytube
      @rraytube 5 років тому +1

      Walden Wong Art really appreciate the response! Since your using the pen in this manner, do you have to clean/rinse it after use? Thanks again

    • @WaldenWongArt
      @WaldenWongArt  5 років тому

      Hi Ronald! You really don’t need to clean the brushes. Maybe rinse them off once in a while. But if you really wanted to clean them, I’ve added a few links under the video that you can check out and purchase from. Also check out my website www.waldenwongart.com and you’ll see a big “Walden on Amazon” button. Click that and you’ll see all the tools I use and can purchase from. Hope that helps!

      Hi ArtisticAnimeDreamer ChohuiDance4Ever. It's just a lot of practice. Here's a tip... When you're drawing a line, move you hand QUICK to where you want your pen to stop and you'll be surprised how smooth the line will be. Thank you for watching and subscribing!
