Played UT Assault in a league for several years (1999 to 2006). Great fun with Rocketlaunches, Hammerjump and tactics. I never understood why Assault was not as popular as CTF or TDM.
late to this convo, but this randomly popped onto my feed. Overlord is easily the hardest map in assault ladder, followed behind by actually Rook, since those are essentially the only roadblocks. Frigate is done in 30 seconds, Rook can be done fast but if you mess up chains you're in for a rough ride. Hispeed is no issue, Mazon is no issue, Oceanfloor is no issue, and last but not least Overlord is luck to get a fast time.
