Green Day are a band and it was at their concert in Hyde Park. Bo Rhap came on over the sound system before Green Day took the stage. So remember this was only 3 years ago, 60,000 Green Day fans all knowing the words and singing along to a song released before they were even born. That’s how legendary this song is! Is there anything around at the moment do you think, that will have a crowd singing like this in another 45 years time? Because that’s how long ago it was released. It’s incredible isn’t it?

Listening to this always makes me feel emotional. Something about a large crowd all connecting is very powerful. This was before the concert started and as you said was the song that was getting piped in. This was also 2017. Over 25 years after Freddie's death.
I will leave a rare request. You pick which you want to do. It's Late off of the News of the World album. Which is a bluesy rock song and greatly underappreciated. Off the Night at the Opera album Seaside Rendezvous. Another example of Queen's diversity with it's vaudevillian ragtime feel to it. And the final choice would be The Millionaire Waltz. One of several epic level Queen songs. It will take you for a gentle yet exhilarating ride. Off the album A Day at the Races. Just a touch of Queen's many different sounds. And please do the studio version. Many songs are best heard live. Some need the detail and nuance that the song deserves and that comes from the album cuts. Cheers!

Loved your reaction to this. I felt the same way when I first heard it. Queen was always experimenting and never confined themselves to one kind of music. A couple of quirky little Freddie-written songs are Lazing on Sunday Afternoon and Seaside Rendezvous. On the first, Freddie and Roger recreate vocally a number of different instruments. Brian My also wrote one in a similar mode where he recreated several instruments just using his guitar and sang it himself too. That's Good Company . All three of these are on the Night at the Opera album.

This was a concert by the band Green Day; they usually play Bohemian Rhapsody as a warm-up. There were more than 65,000 people at this concert.
I love how they sing some lines quietly, as Freddie did, yet the sheer intensity of the massed voices ... it must have been an almost transcendental experience to be in so large a crowd, all singing together.
You can tell a song is immortal when the crowd sings the guitar solo!

This is everything! This is life. This is beauty. This is amazing humans coming together. Music does that for people we need more of this in our life and in our world today. All of the shit going on nowadays with everybody against each other and everything I didn’t grow up like that I am 54 years old. I grew up during a time where yeah there was racism and shit because they’re always always has been but more than that people got along people came together. It was a different time that I grew up in. and it hurts my heart chaotic bullshit, but she has her shit together. She knows what’s up and we need more people like these kids in our lives and in our future.

The crowd was waiting for Green Day to come out for the start of their concert and Green Day must have put up the words and music to BoRap.and the crowd just started to sing.

errrr,i dont think words were necessary, every Brit knows every word to this iconic tune.
besides, singing from the crowd is a regular thing in the UK during intervals.

@@williamhoffman7009 by the way you worded your comment with "green Day must of put the words up", it seems like you know absolutely nothing about it, and your just trying to make out that you know what your talking about.

Thanks, Boyz - deal was: they were waiting for Green Day, and while waiting, the speakers were just playing random songs to entertain the crowd... and when this came on -- everyone KNEW it, so they all got into it! you can't really hear the speakers... b/c the crowd just took over! lol

they do this before every concert. It's magical to be in a crowd like that when everyone is singing along. I still remember seeing Elton John and Billy Joel together when I was 15 and 80,000 people carrying the chorus of Piano Man. I miss those moments. I hope we have concerts again soon. I have tickets to see Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer next year, and i really don't want it postponed again. you should listen to Pentatonix's version of Bohemian Rhapsody. It's all acapella.

Queen started at Imperial College London (the science tech and medicine university). Dr Brian May took his PhD there, but got distracted for a while with a little band he set up, called Queen... Imperial...Queen. There is a 'blue plaque' to commemorate their first performance in the student union building. Imperial is on the southern edge of Hyde Park, where these people were singing their heads off.
