"Before Elvis, there was nothing" John Lennon
Paul Simon once said,he saw Elvis sing this live and after hearing it he commented, this isn't my song anymore it's Elvis' s .. he loved it
I read that too
Whilst I am mainly a metalhead and Elvis is way out of my genre 'comfort zone' it is easy to see why he is called the King. Anything he sang from straight rock and roll to gospel was just perfection. Talent like his deserves the respect he gets.
Thus speak a true musician. When watching Elvis I sometimes forget just how good a single performer can be (nobody like him today). It's kinda sad that younger generations don't grow up on old school like Elvis, Beatles, Stone, Zeppelin etc.
Kids today wiggle their shoulders to rap crap....and are happy about it. Lord forgive them..they know not what they do.
Beware of people that say whilst. Lol, sorry, love your passion.
@@stevedahlberg8680 Haha, yes we can't be trusted 🤣😂
well said / perfect
Me too Zepplin and Van Halen guy all my life but the kings talent is out of this WORLD.
simon and garfunkel said after hearing elvis sing their song....."how can i follow that"
Bob dylan said the same thing after elvis recorded one of his songs. "Tomorrow is a long time"
@@brandonayong5823 one of my fav elvis songs
@@brandonayong5823 dont think twice its all right
You got the right word in saying that Elvis' vocal control was "glorious."
The greatest singer of all time.
Yes, but what an amazing human. His efforts on black rights, his kindness, contributes to the legend of the GOAT.
@@parkiwi4787 Absolutely 💯 % on the money! Yet, the msm pretty much only reported on the drug use and autopsy report to smear him in 1977, when he passed away.. Elvis was a Conservative, at a time when Liberalism was taking off and already had entrenched itself in academia, politics and even main stream media (msm) Nice to know these 2 young people recognize the talent that was Elvis! 💛
Amen!
You bet your Ass!👑👑
Even when he was nearing death in the last concert televised his voice shook the rafters! The song from the movie ghost the name of the song escapes me. Elvis fans help me out here with the name of the song?
When Elvis covered someone else's song HE OWNED IT! Paul Simon said after he heard Elvis sing this, how the f**k can I ever sing this live again! That's a TRIBUTE TO GREATNESS!
Hahaha
THAT COMMENT
ABOUT SIMMON AND GARFUNKEL IS VERY
TRUE.. ELVIS CATALOG
IS OVER SEVEN HUNDRED SONGS 💥
Well Garfunkel mainly sang this one
@@anthonydawson8080 And he would be humbled as well.
@@clydeb7713 I would be curious what he thought. I’m sure he liked it
Am from India but I've heard about Elvis but knew nothing and now as i learn more about him i can see why he's the king.
Truly an amazing character.
Rest well 👑
Pure Talent.
Simply the greatest of all time 💕💕💕💕
No one will ever come close to this man !! ELVIS IS THE GOAT ❤🎤🔥🎼
The greatest singer of all times. Great reaction. Love you both 💕💕💕💕
Elvis i grew up on. The best
Absolutely beautiful man with a beautiful voice ❤️❤️❤️❤️
the one major talent Elvis had that goes unrecognized is he did all his arrangements for his music especially later in life
That tone in his voice. Best ever!
ELVIS= KING
Elvis invented " Being Cool ".
A vocal masterpiece!
Also, Elvis arranged that version for the way he wanted to interpret the song. He was very underrated in that respect
there can never be a baritone like Elvis and the most handsome guy on stage ever. Love you and miss you Elvis from India
That is why he is The King. Absolutely amazing.
Elvis was the whole package, love it!!
Absolutely beautiful
Thanks you two for honoring Elvis and bringing a whole new generation to the table to appreciate what a Awesome Entertainer Elvis was! Thanks!
Elvis is one of those That will live through generations, Hes timeless😍
Thank you for sharing your beautiful memory of Elvis with all of us for it brought tears to my eyes. Elvis was a genuine human being who gave the best of himself to others, his heart. As his said once there room for everyone that os why he will always be the King 🤴.
I subscribed just because of Elvis….I love him!! Incredible voice.
Same
Me too. 👍🥇⚡
A quote from Elvis Presley " I don't have a good voice, I just know what to do with it". He was only half right with that statement. This man should be a requirement for every student taking vocal lessons. Vicki
He had a great voice and knew what to do with it. His range was amazing, his passion and depth was unique. He was afraid of not being remembered...That will never happen.
There are many many great voices, but to this day no one can move my emotions like Elvis when he sings a song like this -- I dont care how many movies they make or impersonators give it their best shot no one has ever been able to duplicate the feeling and sound Elvis gives when he covers a song.
I love how Suzy's eyebrows have got a life of their own - they're happy, they're sad, surprised...they are all over the place! ❤
Yea! More Elvis reactions!😍
From a third generation Elvis fan thank you for keeping this amazing man alive in 2022. The best ones always leave too soon. You guys have awesome reactions.👏👏👏👏
Always loved Elvis singing, he always will be one of the greats.
Evis singing this song always gives me the chills! Thank you for another great reaction!
Every single time 💖😭
That's why Elvis is known as the King. A unbelievable and true entertainer.. Growing up in those days was a great time.
Me too
Every time I finish watching one Elvis reaction another one pops up and and it makes me so happy 😂Crap!!! Y’all just said this is the last one 🥲Awesome reaction guy’s ❤
Love your reaction!! Elvis makes every song his own
So much passion
The eyes on that man….
There’s a version of “My Way” that Elvis did at his Aloha From Hawaii Concert in 1973 that I think you guys would very much appreciate.
Paul Simon said that he saw Elvis preform this song in person and thought afterwards how he was ever going to be able to top Elvis' take on it.
Larry, it is time to come clean and tell everyone you are not Depper.
Depper or Leslie West as some know him from the band mountain, died in 2020.
You have to stop masquerading as Depper.
Identity theft could get you 15 years jail.
What are you afraid of?

@@depper no we are not. but you can believe that or not, I don't give a shit.
You on the other hand need to tell the world that you are not Depper. Depper died back in 2020 and you are masquerading yourself and stolen the identity of a dead man. Oh how proud your parents may be of the delinquent they raised. I am getting closer to exposing whom you are Larry!
Depper, turn on your brain, before you make such stupid Statements, you understand? Hahahaha
The one and only king 👑 of the world in my eyes guy was sent from a higher power
..."Class of 76"...his love for gospels comes thru loud and clear in this song...
1972 live - light blue suit( How Great Thou Art) listening to Elvis sing gospel is Amazing NO one else sings it like Elvis!!!
Love this performance. A lot of people prefer Simon and Garfunkels original version much more mellow, but for me this is best version ever. Elvis gave their song exactly what it needed, soul. I don't think anyone can touch this
Paul Simon even agreed!!
@@valmacclinchy God Damn right he did how could he not unless deaf.
Seeing Elvis sing this song live is literally otherworldly.
Many stars have come and gone, but Elv1s 👑 is the whole universe and the big bang 💥
Elvis è stato e sarà sempre il più grande! 👍❤️
After hearing this song hundreds of times i just realized how talented is Paul Simon too.
Elvis presley is the best singer in the world
He was so beautiful…my favorite was him in the 68 Comeback Special in that black leather suit & also If I can dream wearing that sharp white suit. 🔥
The best the world will ever see, there will never be another...
Paul Simon, who wrote this classic masterpiece, saw Elvis doing it in 1970 and was kinda shocked. Art Garfunkel (who sang the original masterfully) said he was thankful he himself and Elvis was such diverse performers.
Listen especially to the chorus on the first verse. The way he sings "like a bridge.." This is the part that sets this version apart from other renditions (to me) like 1972 live an so on.
Fantastic performance by Elvis and I loved your reaction. You guys are awesome!! More Elvis please, the man is in a league of his own!🥇🎤🎶🎹
Oh the horns! The backup! World class. The Master
'I just can't help believing' should be next on your journey.
Absolutely incredible. Elvis has 700-800 songs so keep up the good reactions.
Elvis recorded EXACTLY 769 songs ..... Did 31 Movies ..... Did 2 Documentaries ..... Did over 1100 Concerts in the Seventies alone ..... Who knows how many in the 50's and 60's }} ..... PLUS .... On August 31, 1957, Elvis, Scotty Moore, Bill Black, D.J. Fontana and the Jordanaires went to Vancouver by train to perform at Empire Stadium. It was the second stop of a tour of the Northwest that had started the day before in Spokane. By this time Elvis had recorded eight No. 1 singles in two years, had made three movies and was about to release 'Jailhouse Rock' as his latest single. Having performed in Toronto and Ottawa in April, this was only the third time they ever performed outside of the U.S. and for Elvis it would be the last. Vancouver's first rock-and-roll show had taken place barely a year before, when Bill Haley and the Comets drew 6,000 people to the Kerrisdale Arena. Now Elvis had drawn a crowd over four times larger. The 26,500 fans in attendance went wild for the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The stage was set up on the empty football field Elvis did it all ..... And he did them better than ..... ANYONE ELSE COULD ..... ANYONE ..... PERIOD ..... We know as much as Matt ..... Just sayin .....
@@nealmalik9142 thanks for all the info. Well said. 👍🥇⚡
Best Elvis reaction so far!!
React to American Trilogy, Steamroller Blues is really bluesy. Think you two gorgeous people would like it.
One of my favorite songs from The King. ❤️ 😍 🎶 🎵
YES!!! You have picked a wonderful song of his! Once, when he was singing this song; when he first covered it, Simon and Garfunkle ( the writers ) were in the audience! After hearing his version; Simon turned to Garfunkle and said "How do we EVER follow that, we can't even sing our own song again"! lol I think ELVIS' rendition of this great song is the VERY best of them ALL! AND, by the way ELVIS also designed the music and lyrics, almost as if he were leading an orchestra! He did this for all of his songs! HE WAS THE BEST!!! Thank you for every ELVIS reaction that you do! Keep playing him and I will keep watching you! You guys are wonderful!
I'm only here for Elvis 😀
Love him or hate him there is simply no denying elvis had an incredible voice
"Hate him"? Who?
Facts!
Very little reason for him to be hated. He was a kind, generous human being in his personal life along with his incredible talent. Vicki
@@richardeidemiller6739 Elvis would be hated today, by the msm and most of Hollywood cause he was a staunch Conservative and avid 2nd Amendment supporter.. He once shot his TV @Graceland cause there was a liberal on, saying something Elvis didn't like! 🤣
@@denniscrork318 He shot his television out when Robert Goulet came on because he had something personal against him with regard to a woman when he was in the army. He was very upset when the Kennedys were shot which was discussed by his entourage. He also shot his toilet ( not sure what political party it belonged to). Many non conservative people own guns .Elvis never discussed politics so not sure how you know he was a " staunch conservative ". He never discussed issues like that with the media. He was too smart to be dragged in to that. Vicki
You guys need to watch this back to see your faces! 😀
Pure gold performance from Elvis 😍
Un-freaking-believable.
Yes, Yes...... that's what I am talking about, love your Elvis reactions ❤️
I grew up on Elvis since before I ever saw him in person in the 70s,.. he's always pitch perfect, even in the his last public concert, my record collection is amazing!
Whatever you do; do not stop your ELVIS journey now! I have been along for the ELVIS ride since it almost started...showing my age, a little! lol I love you guys and, of course, I LOVE ELVIS! He has 720 more songs that are just as wonderful as the ones that you have covered! Please react to some "Young ELVIS" songs! I have three, off the top of my head, for you to please react to..."Something Blue", "I Believe" and "Crying In The Chapel"! These were sung from when he was 18 yrs. to 22 yrs., I think! He could be a little older, but I don't think so! His voice was so much higher, then. Please delve down the ELVIS rabbit hole and understand more about ELVIS! He was, is, and always will be THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL!!! Thank you so much for this SPECTACULAR reaction! You're WONDERFUL!!!
The song is actually created by Simon & Garfunkel. Was my grandfathers favorite song. It is a beautiful song and Elvis does it perfect!
Crazy crazy fir being live...it couldn't have been anymore perfect! ❤️🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯🎙🎼🎙
Incredible
Best version.
Im so proud to see you kids respect GREATNESS. Its such a great feeling. He did not get his props on earth. Thank you❤❤
Yet another great reaction guys. Gives comfort to me an avid fan for over 50 plus years with all his record masters that I was not totally misguided and bonkers 😊😊
He is the KING
I'm a life long Elvis fan, and you guys mixing it up with his music... Some rock and roll, then cheese movie songs, then some amazing gospel. Somehow I'm just realizing for the first time, the level of his talent; he's basically several performers all in one 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Amazing.
I've only realized the talent that was Elvis, myself, over the last couple of years. Thanks to UA-cam! There are so many great performances by him on YT! Check out 'Always on my Mind' by Elvis.. Thinking about him doing this song after his breakup from Priscilla almost moves you to tears..
I'm 62, btw and grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, etc. No one can sing like Elvis!
@@denniscrork318 I'm only a few years younger and while knowing Elvis through my mom and grandmother I too loved the rock Gods like Zeppelin, Floyd etc... It took me until my early 50's to discover him again by accident on YT. This man showed the world that it was OK for a white man to express what he felt musically without reservation. He was far more important to music history than many realize. The time for pasted on side burns and jumpsuits should end. This man was no joke. He had guts, ambition and talent. Vicki
@@richardeidemiller6739 I went to school with a John Eidemiller, who's father owned a TV repair shop on route 340 in Lancaster County.. Any relation of Richard's?
You guys rock you should react to American trilogy live from Hawaii
My favourite ever version of this song ❤️ Thanks for the reaction! You guys are great!
Still so relevant today, never anyone like him again.
Huge #1 record for Simon and Garfunkel written by Paul Simon. Elvis did a fantastic job on it!!❤
Damn man that was awesome to watch. I've seen several of your actions and so it's kind of cool to see a new Elvis reaction but this is always been one of my favorites. There's some UA-cam footage floating around out there of Elvis showing off his arranging skills because that's what he did man he arranged all this stuff most people don't realize that. And you can see them working through it and practice. Having been in bands my whole life and it looks like you guys are too man you've got to find that they are literally working through this song, when you need a friend? That was a section they work on a whole lot but in general like the horns are coming in week and the piano player didn't know what the fuck he was doing and Elvis was like man at least act like you know what you're doing but you have to understand it was all good it was all people working shit out and he always does it with a sense of Grace and humility and humor that these people all love him and they work together can you imagine trying to Wrangle a huge band like that? Anyways fascinating to watch him literally arranging this cover of Simon and Garfunkel on the spot. And then to hear this performance, it just stuns me and I've been a musician my whole life man.
You guys are great, your personalities are out of this world. Thanks for listening to my man since the 50's. There are over 700 songs ,what a body of work. Love, and Be Blessed.

I am a long time Elvis fan, and I love all of the reactions of the younger generation who are realizing what a unique talent Elvis was. When I was young, I just knew I like his singing and his looks, but I did not really know enough about music to realize how great he was. I am learning to now! I like your reactions, and I have a suggestion for one I am surprised you have not done. Elvis blows "My Way," out of the water in a live performance. I think it is from the Aloha From Hawaii. I'd love to hear you react to that. The orchestra, especially the strings ,are so perfect in accompaning Elvis. I'm sure by now you realize how many of his hand movements were his directing the orchestra. He knew exactly how he wanrted them to sound and when. I just read an article that says Elvis was an "idiot servant" when it came to sound. He took an active part in directing the back up singers and the orchestra, and he appreciated their abilities. I'll look for the "My Way" link.
Try some of the performances from the 1968 comeback special: If I Can Dream, Trying to Get to You, One Night With You... great
Even Paul&Simon said that they thought Elvis did the best performance of this song.
This is great, but listen to him sing this song while in concert in 1972 at Madison square garden. Holy hell!! His voice is amazing!
great review guys, there is a song you must not let you slip by, ELVIS POWER OF MY LOVE ,love your reviews thanks bobby.
Make the world go away live from this show is amazing...
Song originally by Simon and Garfunkel. Fabulous song hit the top Ten. Elvis does fabulous job as he always does!
Thanks for diving into Elvis's music!! I had never liked this song when it came out... until I heard Elvis's version. Love his voice always but what he does to this song... Absolutely AMAZING!!
In the beginning many said Elvis couldnt sing, that he was only famous because of how he moved, how wrong they were !!
Thank you for the awesome reactions to the great ,amazing Elvis.❤❤❤❤
Still get chills every time I hear it

@@nealmalik9142 are you saying that Elvis wasn't controlled by the colonel?
If you look on Elvis's left hand you'll see a big square diamond ring that he designed ...his jeweler made the ring per Elvis's instructions... It was 9.81 carats and if I remember correctly, it cost $ 35,000 dollars at the time... Elvis wore it for 2 or 3 years and then he gave it to his bass singer and life long friend J.D. Sumner...J.D. wore it occasionally... I know he wore it on one of the Gather concerts just before his death in 1998...There is film of him wearing it...After J.D. died the ring went back to Graceland and it was put in the archives where it still is today...the ring always fascinated me and I happened to notice it in this video... Great reaction, guys...
I,m gonna by an Elvis poster, too!!! 😁💜
I wish you would react to the laughing version of are you lonesome tonight by Elvis. He changes the lyrics towards the beginning and someone in the front in the audience does something with their wig and he loses it. So adorable ❤❤❤❤
What a voice...really was
