Thanks Cyd for this «beep hack». If you disconnect the battery, the electronics forget this setting and you have to go through this process again. So don't be surprised...

Is there a warning when the front passenger isn't wearing the seat belt? I noticed some wiring connected to the front passenger seat under it but there's no alarm for this seat belt if the passenger doesn't wear it. Works fine if the driver isn't wearing the the belt.

the wiring under front passenger seat is for the seat's side airbags.

Not on my Mk2 , I think you need to plug into the OBD port with suitable hardware to access the facility.
