San Francisco FORCES Businesses To Close

- In this video I discuss the latest insanity out of the city of San Francisco where the city council decided that they will still allow criminals to do whatever. But they will now force a curfew upon businesses for the crime in the area

Force businesses to close? After they scream that businesses are leaving? Man that city is bipolar.
Bipolar cycles more slowly. This is borderline personality disorder
Bipolar is typically a mood disorder that can be so extreme that a person may not be able think clearly. They`re simply evil.
But don’t close to quickly, or else you deprived residents who have a right to your products
Most progressives have diagnosed mental disorders.
They're going to hollow the city out in less than a decade if this keeps up.
"This will go down as one of the most progressive administrations in history".
- Joe Biden
So progressive that we all went in reverse.
Everyone knows presidents control state and local laws. Also progressives hate that Biden is pro police and has significantly increased federal funding for police. So which is it? Is weak on policing or strong on it?
That's a misquote, what he actually (attempted) to say was: "This *country* will go down *the toilet* because it's one of the most progressive administrations in history".
dont get fooled by trump. he is no friend of israel! as long biden sends taxdollars to israel im biden24
He meant regressive. That's what progressive politics is in the end.
Trump tried to warned people when he said "Everything woke turns to shit"
Team trump is to lazy to point this out in blue states

Yeah, this has gone WAYYYYYY past hanlon’s razor….
It always has been dude.
These policies and people who back them aren’t as dumb as they are evil.
"Never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to stupidity."
@@CharlesVanNolandFor ages I’ve been saying it should be the opposite when applied to politicians, “never attribute to stupidity that which could be attributed to malice” 😂
In this case malice would just be an umbrella term for corruption and greed and schemes.
@@CharlesVanNoland this only works when the malicious people aren't perfectly willing to look stupid in order to avoid accountability. they're hoping we will think they're stupid.
@@CharlesVanNoland My friend, thank you for saving me from having to comment in regards to this. Very succinctly put.
Nope...theyre playing chess, your thinking like a checker player.
It's not about fixing issues, it's about appearing to fix the issue.
Right. Appearing to fix the issue gets your budget increased. Actually fixing the issue gets your budget reduced or eliminated.
Or change the language to make you seem more em-pathetic
I work in property Management... And I wondered why. It seems like most managers move around every year... Because that's about how long it takes before people realize they aren't doing their job correctly. So they just go get a new one... Before s*** catches up to them
"making progess" is what progressives do best
It's about appearing to care in the first place..while implementing policy that does the opposite, but is just plausible enough to feed the hoarde of people so desperate to appear to care harder than each other.
New York: We're the most "ass" backwards state in today's society
California: Are you sure about that?
New York: Hold my beer.
Nicely done.
Na na. It's "Hold my chie soy organic vegan latte."
Nana. It's "Hold my chia soy Madagascar vanilla bean organic vegan latte."
Most annoying part is that its really just a few major cities in both cases that are destroying the state. A lot of NY state is farmers and rural people who arent crazy lefties. Same with california. But the major cities with the giant populations are fucking up the entire state

To be clear, this is the same party who thought "rogue gun sellers" were the reason the cartels were getting guns, while ignoring the fact the Fed was making them sell to the cartels.
It’s genius. If there is nothing to steal then there is no theft. Next they are going to prevent murder by killing everyone. In the end we cannot get any safer than being dead. The dream is almost fully realized.
They create a problem, then punish store owners for said problem.
"If those people didn't exist, I wouldn't have been able to kill them."
-Average Innocence Project benefactor
And then they penalize them for trying to move to a better location.
That's how Democrats get rich.
Identify a problem... steal more taxes from citizens to throw at problem.... problem gets worse.
Create an agency staff it with your buddies to figure why money isn't fixing the problem... raise taxes to pay for the agency to fix the problem.
Throw more money at problem, problem gets worse... rinse and repeat.
By "they", I hope you mean the voters. Now we need to know if "they" includes the store owner before distributing empathy.

Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program, especially so when it's a tax or restriction
Lots of people call politicians dumb, they do this because they believe politicians have the same goals as they do but just can’t figure it out. At some point they’re not dumb, they’re simply not working toward the same goals as you and your neighbors.
Exactly. Politicians do what’s in their best interests. At the moment, making their constituents dumb and dependent on the government is big because then they can control the people, then with one hand they’ll cause the problems so then they can come in with the “solution” later to solve it and then run on that supposed implemented solution.
When you are young and optimistic you think the government is there to help. When you grow up you realize help means help themselves.
Democrats didn't grow up?
The problem with political jokes is that often they get elected. Yeah, old joke but still apropos.
The politicians aren't "dumb". I hate it when people say that. THe politicians know exactaly what they are doing. They're basically sabotaging these cities on purpose at the behest of the WEF, and other such nefarious groups.
Great point. You can not smoke cigarettes in the places that they allow illegal drug use and defecation.
About 2 weeks ago I snuck in a single vape hit by a side door before entering the urban hospital I work at. A brief moment after blowing out the cloud and pocketing the device a butchy one of our campus cops came out from the main entrance and had to walk around a man in a wheelchair in front of the entrance smoking a cigarette to tell me I can't smoke here and pointed me to the area 10 feet away where the minorities go to smoke blunts on our non smoking campus. I told her I wasn't smoking and pointed to the guy 5 feet away who actually was smoking. She gave me a really lame "I didn't see him, but I'm going to talk to him next." How and why they choose to enforce these policies has never been consistent and never makes any sense.
But more to your point, especially in CA people have the approach that pot is much better for you than tobacco, and they'd rather discover a weed pen than a nicotine pen in their kid's room. So they absolutely despize and demonize public tobacco use while allowing, defending, and encouraging public pot use. I support the freedom to partake in either substance but I thought we all agreed that we just don't want any kind of smoke in public.
Reminds me of the first time I saw an e-cigarette, it was inside an airport terminal. For a short while we figured if it doesn't smell, it's okay.
Vapers are so entitled . Follow the rules .
@@D-Fens_1632its not okay just cus it doesn't smell lol vapers are so annoying
@D-Fens_1632 Yeah, they make some pretty retarded claims about pot, like it's some kind of miracle cure-all. Meanwhile they demonize tobacco with the goal of replacing it with pot.
@@Max78912Pot heads are worse, they reek and force us to smell it.
We used to visit San Francisco once a month back in the day as a fun day trip. We haven’t been back in 10 years now because of how they destroyed it. Very sad.
Same! I remember as a teenager visiting with family how amazing it was down there!! Seeing all the historical sites, beautiful buildings, and just the location alone is gorgeous!! Its really sad how bad its gotten there!! Glad I got to see and enjoy it while it was still good.
Yep. Naturally one of the most beautiful places on Earth that’s been run into the toilet.
I remember that city being a vacation hotspot, a place to film shows and movies. Now it is a public toilet.
@@hosesway and TOTALLY CONQUIENCIDENTALLY when it was great the state was red and went down the never ennding slope once blue.
Agree. Used to enjoy visiting friends there and to escape the furnace called the Central Valley for some cool air. Love me some fog!
I remember a while ago a city wanted to fine businesses that had graffiti on them with no punishment for the people who put it there in the first place. Corrupt cities do that. They tell the tax payers to fix all the problems or pay even more.
That was Seattle; Sean's talked about that this week as a matter of fact.
I think NY has tried this. There’s videos of adults tagging a restaurant patio while the owner tells them how much it will cost him in fines..
They do that because they know they can squeeze the business' because they know the business owners have money to take. The low lifes that put the graffiti there don't have a pot to piss in.
Sounds like Portland Oregon.
Yep, and the entire goal is to extract more wealth. That's it. They could care less about crime unless it affects them and it usually doesn't:
The political machine in these cities is so geared towards one side, that even if you vote out one bad actor, three more will step in and keep the grift going. It never ends because the politicians never face any consequences for their poor policies.
Sanfran is a delusional parent allowing their kids be a-holes and blame everyone else as if they're the problem.
The former Homeless-guy SHOULD be in charge, he is light-years ahead of all the overpaid "Suits" that think THEY know what's going on.
Halloween 2018 in SF was the first time I watched a grown man take a poop at a intersection in front of a group of kids. Memorable moment for us all I think
Diversity is our strength.

Trick or treat!
Hence the poop maps!
Don't forget that the liquor stores were considered essential businesses and we're allowed to stay open during covid too...
But not the churches where the AA meetings took place.
Liquor stores are essential businesses because they can't be reelected without a drunk voter pool. 🤤😜🥴😵💫🤢🤮
Someone should start a business in San Francisco that provides guided and guarded slum tours. Think of it like a safari but with hobos instead of lions
This is so wrong, but I agree that you'd probably make money 😮...

Haha. What a great idea!
So, first that force them to stay open, but now they force them to close? Authoritarians!
the gaslighting knows no bounds...
Bad actors? They're called criminals, California.
Don't worry I am sure the criminal drug addicts will just respect a closed sign and not you know shatter the window and just take what they want. It's not like the cops will show up or anything in San Fran.
Until California votes differently and changes their mind about their political ideology, then I don’t feel sorry for them.
1000%
No matter how many times their ideas blow up in their face they keep voting for them.
Only a moron would think voting makes any difference. No one I've voted for has ever won an election. Global media picks what candidates are available for you to vote for(and if you don't vote for one of the medias hand picked candidates then morons will just tell you you're wasting your vote).
One the major problems we face is a lot of politicians don't live in the area's they govern. They get tons of money and support from out of city/state special interest groups and live in some area far from the district they are in charge of, if not another state. They don't care what happens because it's not their problem. Worse case scenario they are out of office in 4 years or so, taking all their money and special deals with them.
Absolutely this.
It's easy to say "you don't need a firearm to protect yourself" when you live in a rich gated community patrolled by armed security.
It's easy to say "the homeless poop and needle problem isn't so bad" when you live in a gated community where the people doing it can't get past the gate.
It's easy to say "do this with your business" when your "business" runs on obscenely profitable no-bid contracts you keep giving it while hiding the fact you own all or part of the business.
@@oblivionsa7973 The worst part is always when it does come to their door step. A couple of protestors or homeless on their lawn gets a swat team sent out to clear them. Due to "Threats to security". Mean while the rest of the city puts up with people doing drugs, sex etc on on their lawn, in their back yard even breaking into their homes all the time and the cops won't come out to do anything.
When you operate a business in such bad locations, another consideration is that any time the business is left unattended, is another opportunity for it to get burglarized.

There are two solutions to this 1) stores simply leave 2)
At this point it doesn’t matter if it’s stupidity or malice, the results are what matter, and the results are disastrous
It’s sounds like small local businesses are being forced to close, big business is just leaving.
Once again, Clownifornia puts citizens last.
stick with kommiefornia. It encapsulates exactly what they're striving for. They want the CCP (california communist party). The state will run businesses. The state will run housing. The utilities. You'll own nothing and be happy.
So San Francisco has become the Double Dragon movie from the 90s, where the city shuts down during certain hours. There's just nothing there. It's the criminals
This is the same city that came up with this solution to the "open air street vendors" selling loads of goods looted from nearby stores. The "solution" was NOT to arrest the thieves... OR to prevent them from setting up a table on the street and selling these goods. The "solution" was to require them to get a vendors license from the city. I don't know if this idea passed... but the idea that this was floated is crazy.
b/c they think criminals pay taxes and they want their cut. Brain dead.
No one has ever been legislated into prosperity
…yet😂 real prosperity legislation just hasn’t been tried
I live in the Tenderloin, and I can confirm - it’s as insane as it’s been reported about. Lmk if you ever need any help with “on the ground reporting”, Sean!
Maybe offer guided slum tours lol
Instead of “food tours” like many UA-camrs content creators do, you should do a “haul tour” around the TL. Need bike parts? Let’s go! Need phones, chargers? Let’s go! Need a laptop, laundry detergent? Let’s go! Need some fragrances from a dept store?… I’ll get them for you at 60% off. Let’s go!
Instead of a local food court… your version would be international plaza.
This ideology is has become so flipping dangerous.

I always have to wonder how many of those votes are dead people and illegals. After seeing the interview with Dr. Epstein about the insane amount of influence Google and big tech have on who people vote for in elections, I'm pretty sure a Democrat hasn't won fairly in years.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do they think businesses that sell prepackaged food and cigarettes cause crime? This makes absolutely zero sense.
coming to all of America soon.
They don't. They're deliberately trying to ruin these small businesses so that their friends/donors can pick up their properties and customerbase in the near future.
Not coming to my red city.
Voting matters.
Because they are desperately coming up with any explanation for why crime is so high without admitting it's the (almost entirely black) people in the area committing it. It's exactly what they do with "gun violence" where they will never blame the gang banger for shooting into a crowd of innocent people, but will instead blame the gun as if it has any ability to act on it's own.
Well, you see, you’re using Common Sense. California has effectively made using Common Sense illegal.
Brilliant! If you close a business, it won't be stolen from, and crime drops!
Private ownership is the "bad actor's" he is referring to.
Sounds like it's a society of participation award winners.
San Francisco needs DIRTY HARRY back!!
California: "I really hate my face. I think I will cut my nose in spite"
@5:13 - Frisco is the only city on the planet where criminals are free to roam outside the bars and hard working citizens are forced to operate inside the bars!!!!
They could clean up every needle in every city if they put a deposit on it like they do beer cans.
Homeless people would be filling up shoping carts of needles to get that sweet sweet .10 cent per needle.
That is an idea I can see working.
I mean you wouldn't want someone smoking a nasty cigarette while they're shooting up fent
Was it worth voting for Brandon California? 😂🤷♂️
Wait, this is not what Jon Stewart said at all...
I blame pompous politicians
You spelled corrupt wrong. Those politicians are being greased to pass the laws in San Francisco. These politicians are so corrupt that they won’t do anything unless they are bribed.
Keep in mind all politicians get into power because people with money put them there. Just a thought.
I’d bet the alcohol thing being regulated by the state interferes with the state’s fees the collect for the permits so they’d have lawsuits to deal with.
You're exactly right- there's a preemption issue of state law controlling over local law.
If there were no one to from which to steal , theft would drop to zero.
Check mate republicans
Make everyone so poor they have nothing to be stolen and boom! Problem solved
Having free needle exchanges making drug use easier while punishing store owner because of addicts and their actions is peak California.
What does banning the sale of twinkies/boxed cereal/etc in a measly(?) few block area accomplish?
Liquor stores being considered "essential" and being allowed to remain open during the lockdowns was a big clue to me about the true seriousness of covid 19.

What else would you expect from Commifornia? ;)
San Francisco...we need to talk. It's you, not us.
No, it is 100% San Franghanistan.
The ACLU should sue the city on behalf of the shop owners.
The ACLU supports DEI. They won’t sue a city that is pursuing an ideology the ACLU agrees with. You’re thinking of the ACLU of 40 years ago. ACLU is too busy suing people on behalf of the DEI activists, enforcing equity and abolishing Christian holy days and symbols.
Hmmm authorization government attacking private businesses and deciding who can and can't make transactions.....
... pretty sure there is a word for that....

👇🏼👇🏼LIKE if you AGREE !!
That statement they made about getting rid of bad actors, read as "We are trying to get rid of conservatives"
The availability of tobacco and pre packed food is linked to drug sales how? The solution is to punish criminals but that's not going to happen so how does that change? It's been going on for more than one election so that doesn't seem to be working.
So, if a law abiding citizen, who works a late shift, can't stop at the deli after getting off work - because of crime????

It’s almost like they want the businesses to close. I wonder why? Soon it will just be one or two companies that own everything.
That allows centralization of power. That is socialism. They must destroy the existing system and replace it with a top down dictatorship. Hard to do with lots of small independent businesses.
Stores pay the salaries of city workers. It's time for all the city workers to get a huge paycheck cut.
I really don't understand this legislation and what it's supposed to do. How does not selling cigarettes or sandwiches lower crime?
It doesn’t lower crime at all.
Maybe the law is not actually meant to do that.
As someone who lives in the Bay Area, you're not hating my state enough.
As a child (six decades ago) I may have imagined San Francisco to be a magical place. You couldn't pay me enough to visit there now..
I’m from SF, there was a McDonald’s on Haight St that was a popular location for drug dealers. A few years ago the City forced them to shut down because they refused to hire their own security to handle the rampant drug trafficking. The reason McDonald’s refused was because there’s a police station less than 200 yards down the street AND a Needle Exchange directly in front of their location. So not only did the City create an incentive for drug dealers to hang around the area, but they also refused to show up whenever McDonald’s called the cops who were literally half a block away.
To make matters worse, after the restaurant was closed the city set up a homeless camp in the parking lot where even more drug users and dealers could stay. Oh, and it gets worse… what are the plans for this empty lot? Section 8 and low/no income housing where, you guessed it, addicts are to be housed on the taxpayer dollar.
So, in summary, San Francisco created a hotspot for drug trafficking, refused to enforce the law, then blamed the “Evil Corporation” for not paying out of pocket for the service the taxpayers already pay for. Instead of having a legitimate business paying taxes on that lol they would rather use taxpayer money to supply needles and housing to criminals and drug addicts. All in the name of “stopping” drug trafficking in that area.

It's time to admit we're seeing a cultural g-cide.

I don’t understand how anyone can see this happening and not think it’s on purpose.
Sounds like something we do in Portland. We have an area where it's illegal to sell single beers, and you have to close at certain times. I guess criminals who actually buy products can't walk a few blocks.
When you realize they literally think criminals don't exist, their thinking makes sense. The crime still happens, but there is no such thing as a criminal in their eyes so whoever did it isn't a criminal and did nothing wrong. They can't do anything to stop criminals because they already solved that problem in their mind, by reclassifying them as untouchable innocent victims.
Once you erase criminal from your vocabulary, then you just have the actions called crime to address, and the only way to address that is to target anything and everything that has any link to the crime, no matter how weak that link is. Crime happens around shopping centers so target shopping centers. Crime happens to certain people, so restrict those people. Crime happens when certain words are spoken, so ban those words.
things like that make my brain refuse to believe that San Fran is a real place
I can hardly believe that only 1 hour drive away they are already playing Fallout IRL.
Only someone hellbent on not addressing the actual criminals could come up with this. Instead of hiring more cops, having more patrols or increasing the punishment for lawbreaking let’s just lower the amount of hours that it’s possible to lawbreak in the store! Brilliant!
They voted for it, they like it, they are "Fucking good people"
They wanted to defund the police. The city has to be creative on how to address crime, regardless of logic. LOL
There's going to be no place left to shop or dine left.
