I'm from new England and watched this video while searching the internet for the current location of the same exact eagle you're talking about (July, 2022) It's on a world tour.
I was wondering about that Steller's Eagle too (no chance for me, being in London UK!) and whether there have been any more sightings - it must have crossed the Straits of Bering or something :) I do hope it has found its way back home, mainly for procreation purposes! I wonder too about the reactions of Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles, at the sight of this unknown bird :)
Thank you SO much for this fantastic video. Love seeing the Stellars in their native area. We had a "loner" here in Massachusetts recently and now he's hanging out in Maine. Birders are coming from ALL over to see this magnificent eagle. Exciting news and fun for the long winter here in New England.
I enjoyed this very much. Your narrating was very concise and the video was excellent quality. How fortunate that you were able to see so many of these majestic birds in one area and get it on film.
Awesome video with some great shots of the majestic Steller’s Sea Eagle!! It’s become my new favourite bird of prey! They’re absolutely magnificent!! 😮😊❤
MAGNIFICENT!! First time I've ever seen Steller's Sea Eagle. What a Beauty. Great video. Love to see more of this beautiful bird. It's a wonderful day!!! 🦅💖😀🌻🍁🌲
What a magnificent bird of prey. Look forward to see this bird in person. Looks like Japan will be my next place to visit. Thank you for showing me this great bird. Just love its magnificent big beak.
video quality is actually one of the best i've ever seen period. what in the ever loving fuck is the camera you're using there, it's so crisp and vivid you'd think you've been there in person...
Absolutely awesome video! I especially loved the single images at the end. We were lucky to have the Steller's Sea eagle visit Nova Scotia, Canada the fall of 2021 when I and my husband plus a good number of others got to see it with some wonderful views.
@@vegardpig8634 Well no, He doesn't think so. Because anyone with common sense hates them by their sound and by their extrem hearding which grants you nothing more than shit and a ruined building.
MR Daddy Anyone with common sense knows that seagulls have one of the most complex sounds for communicating and are pretty smart. And they should also know that birds need to communicate, just like humans. They don’t exist to annoy you, but they will if they feel threatened or if you get too close to their kids.
They found our Pittsburgh Steller Eagle not long after it escaped. It was in someone's back yard. When he got back to the aviary he was very hungry. The one in Maine nobody knows where it came from.
I saw a Steller Eagle wintering out temps of -30 below...That's nuts..not in person was watching a russia doc clip..great video..Two of my fav eagles is Steller and Harpy..
Sir day before yesterday I saw the most beautiful bird I have ever seen in my life it's wing span was as big as me it looked just like the stellar it looked dead at me and almost tried to land on my car it's wing span was as big as me and the way it held its winga was the most beautiful real free in motion u will never forget how beautiful that bird was the car behind me motioned me over and said did you see that I had a tear in my eye I was taken by its beauty seeing it free in motion and knowing that God created it I will never forget it never. That what I saw was once in a lifetime in motion truly beautiful !!
Would love to see more videos of the Steller Eagle. It's my favorite Eagle now and I can't find many video's on the Steller. I think it's the most beautiful and charismatic of all Eagles.
I guess that, unfortunately, the lack of videos is due to the fact that you have to visit in person and take pot luck in finding them - it would be wonderful if a live stream could be set up, but probably these creatures' nests would be a problem to reach, not to mention internet connection/weather problems.
Thanks! The best and only time to see these birds in this area is in the winter. They are not there during breeding and nesting season. We were there the last week in Feb. Plan on spending a few days, as the weather is variable, some days so bad the boats don't leave the harbor.
@rayh1095 thanks so much for the tip. I was thinking the first week of March. Would you be able to recommend a tour operator? Also, please let me know if you have Instagram. I would like to follow your nature videos
This was a very informative video with an excellent production quality! The Steller's Sea Eagle is so amazing. Too bad they don't live in the Galapagos Islands or somewhere that seagulls run amuck. Where I live the seagulls eat the chicks and eggs of endangered shorebirds. "Seagulls are classed as migratory and therefore are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. This makes it illegal to pursue, hunt, kill or sell gulls as well as being against the law to disturb, destroy or move any active seagull nest."
I work with these eagles in the netherlands and they are really impressive. Some of our females are incredibly large and to see then uo close is an awsome expirience
Arnel Gonzaga harpy is larger, but philipine eagle on average is bigger, there is huge discrepancies between sizes of harpies. And harpy is much more powerfull then philipines eagle imo. Just look at the preys harpy goes after and they are usually more aggressive and bigger talons.
There bigger than the harpy and phillipine eagles.the phillipine is just the tallest.the harpy is the most powerful.and the stellers is almost larger in the morning everything is else.
If you want to see one in the UK you may strike lucky if you visit the Hawk Conservancy Trust in Hampshire, UK. They have a female who is currently flying in their bird of prey flying demonstrations and she's HUGE - with birds of prey females are bigger than males. If you go to their website they have a photographic competition and you can find at least two pictures of her there.
