“Trump supporter, worried that there were other “closet” Trump supporters who felt unheard in Virginia, stood outside a Congressional candidate’s campaign office for twelve hours while displaying a loaded firearm. Daniel Parks said that his protest was peaceful, but that he intended to “stand his ground” on behalf of other Trump supporters.
“I’m just trying to provide a voice for someone who might be a closet supporter of Trump. Other people who are a little worried to speak out because of possible persecution,” Daniel Parks told reporter Taylor Cairns. Cairns reported that the Parks, who was later joined by a friend, wanted people to know that they were not giving up the campaign “quietly.”
Jane Dittmar is running for the 5th Congressional seat in Virginia as a Democrat. Her office is not a Hillary Clinton campaign office, and her volunteers admitted that they were both confused and intimidated by the men’s protest.
“If he wants to support his candidate that’s fine, but don’t come here and stare into the office all day,” said Su Wolff, one of Dittmar’s volunteers.
“He turned sideways to be sure that we would see that he has an open carry gun, which is legal, and is fine, but it’s intimidating,” she said.”

have you ever been to a dentist? I have a root canal and crown coming up. Even with dental insurance, I could buy about a dozen guns by the time it is over. Guns for the most part are much cheaper than any dentist.

Not with dental insurance. Guns will run you several hundred dollars a pop. Even the most expensive dental procedures (excluding implants) will only run you a couple hundred bucks at most with decent dental insurance. I recently bought a gun and got a crown so all this stuff is fresh in my mind lol.

That is not political correctness issue. People tend to hang around people of similar ethnicity or religion. Think of it this way: That means if you see people hanging out who are christian, they better be investigated because *they may be a threat*. Open carry of guns is allowed in most places here, but I think what these two were doing could easily be called stalking, which is illegal. The problem was the people in the office likely did not want to stir up more controversy by calling the police, so instead of them getting arrested or at least being asked to move along by the police, they have this insane story about them staring the campaign workers down for 12 hours while wearing a gun on their hip.

You do have a right to carry a gun, I acknowledge that. However, laws do not protect you from the social reactions and consequences of your actions. As such, people have the right to keep their opinions of guns and those who carry them. So don't get mad at them when you make the decision to do something that as hefty as carry a gun -a weapon that could kill them, and thus cause people to see you as a potential threat.
