You probably know this, but if you want water in the summer, Ouachita River from Remmel to Rockport is one of your best bets. Great video on of the Lil Red.
@trekandtable7833 Thank you! yep, I have an article for that float on my blog, but no video. It really is a great float. I like it a lot. The only problem is that on weekends during the summer dry season, it's been getting extremely crowded the last couple of years. It's a pretty big party out there. That's fine, but the parking is now a nightmare. And you occasionally hear about break-ins and kayak theft at Rockport. A shame, because I really like that float. I appreciate your comment though!
@trekandtable7833 - UPDATE: I made another trip to Remmel and now have a video of Ouachita on the channel. And they have recently expanded the parking area at Remmel Dam. Lots of people floating but the party didn't seem to get out of hand. It was a good float!
@Gatewood Brown Yep, my next float on the Little Red, I'm gonna try doing JFK Park to Swinging Bridge. It might be a little more reliant on the Dam though, not sure. I'll have to look into that.
@@GatewoodBrown right on! It will probably be mid-to-late summer on that one. Gotta float the rain-dependent ones first while the water lasts! Then I'll move on to the spring-fed and dam-fed floats.
Thank you! Yeah, I'll have to try that. My crew, we like to stop and hang out on the river...and from what I've been told, that's harder to do when they're generating. But I'll give it a go sometime.
Brah, I adore your channel.. I wish we had rivers like that here in Louisiana. Can you recommend any decent fishing creeks near the Murfreesboro area besides the Little mo?
Thank you! You've got a cool channel going on over there yourself! Man, I hate to say it, but I'm not quite as familiar with the rivers down south Murfreesboro. But you can go 30 minutes north of there to Glenwood and fish the Caddo River. It's great for smallmouth bass fishing. And then another 30-ish minutes north of Glenwood is Mt. Ida. The Ouachita River runs through there and is also great smallmouth fishing.

I love seeing the little red getting some love. Heber is my hometown
@randallgrubbs9286 I grew up in Beebe and spent a lot time around Heber. Really great lake town.

@@AROwnBackyard great video. We did that last summer and started too soon, but we were fishing. It was sloooow.
Beautiful river! Added to the list for sure!
@Gatewood Brown thanks for the watching and for the comment! Yep, it's a pretty float. I'll be back for sure.
@@AROwnBackyard The upper stretches also look intriguing. AR is phenomenal!

@@AROwnBackyard I’ll be tuned in if you decide to make a video of that section

That’s a great spot!
It is! I really enjoyed it!
Just wait till they start generating, you won’t have to paddle any! Great video!

Some of my family died on the swinging bridge wen it fell
I'm very sorry to hear that. It was definitely a very sad and unfortunate event.
