    Deep in the hills and hollers of the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas is a beautiful little road that leads down to Richland Creek named Falling Water Road. Falling Water Road is access to several amazing waterfalls and in this video we will show you several of the sights you can see on this little section of the forest. The waterfalls we visit in this video are Falling Water Falls, Horsetail Falls, Six Finger Falls, Intersection Falls, Fuzzybutt Falls, and Keefe Falls.
    If you would like to spend more than just one day in this area there are plenty of places to dispersed camp along the road or if you want to have a campground with a few amenities there is the Richland Creek Campground at the bottom of the hill.
    Thanks for watching! If you haven't already subscribe to our channel to follow our future adventures!

      It really is. I believe there's a great balance of people who love and utilize the trails and public land so that they're taken care of but not so many that trails get ridiculously busy, with a few exceptions... Looking at you Hawksbill Crag 😂

      @@kookietherapy9398 we left Missouri to travel the southwest and live out of our Jeep. After a few months on the road it was time for us to find work again and we ended up in Vegas. We chose to move here because it had a cheaper cost of living compared to a lot of cities in the west and has plenty of jobs we knew we could earn enough to keep up and save.
      Also it's a relatively short distance to several National Parks and the Pacific Coast.

    just got back from AR. Great trip but had a hard time finding anything. Went to the Richland Wilderness Area didn't know that a GPS is almost mandatory. I'm gonna get my physical shape back and try again before the summer tourists. I'm used to Florida where there are signs everywhere to show the way with obvious trails and all the fixins and don't touch rules. Got a brochure at the Witt Springs Info Center. Just Coordinates. Let me know if there are some tricks to be aware of in these type of adventures.

    • @WanderingBlock
      @WanderingBlock  Рік тому +1

      The reason you didn't find many signs is because Richland Creek is a designated wilderness and a rule for wilderness is that no official trails are built in it. So all trails in the area are social trails and because they aren't maintained they get overgrown easily and can be tricky to navigate.
      If you want to find somewhere with more signs and trails that are easier to follow in the area I recommend checking out some Buffalo National River trails which is ran by the National Park Service. Arkansas also has some nice state parks as well.

      I believe this was in February. A fairly warm day for winter but still a bit chilly, my favorite time to hike in the Ozarks.
      Heads up tho, these waterfalls are normally pretty dry in the fall unless there's been a lot of recent rain. I don't live in the Ozarks anymore so can't tell you how the weather has been.

      @@micheleb.1737 All towns are going to be over an hour drive from a lot of these places as they are pretty rural. Russellville will be the closest city but the small town of Jasper is probably the closest town.
      I recommend camping, you can dispersed camp along the forest roads (just follow Leave No Trace Principles), it's free, you don't have to drive to and from town each day, and it's a great way to connect with nature.
      There are a lot of private cabin rental options in the Ozarks as well

    What kind of pants is she wearing? Look nice, seem light weight. I need some good outdoor pants for multiple seasons that dry fast and can be good for hiking in the heat. But are kind of loose around the legs, I don't like tight pants for outdoor activities

      The creeks and rivers in the Ozarks get that turquoise color from the sun reflecting off of the limestone sediment in the water.
