Interesting video! Your in-depth analysis of a northern pine snake range made me question my age-old belief that pine snakes were where I grew up in Wisconsin. I have been unable to find one of these in the reads. Good reason for this: they don’t exist! People called pantherophis vulpinas, the fox snake, a pine snake. Now to find, for old times sake, a fox snake!
I have a 2021 northern pine on hold atm from SnA which I can't wait to pick up I aquired a male black pine from SnA last year and although I have some v special snakes in my ever growing collection I must say pituophis are just incredible True characters Awesome and informative vid as always
They can go up to New Jersey in the North East. Love the incorporation of maps! Congrats on 50 episodes! What do you use for bedding and their poo clean up? Great to have the youth involved!
Every time I watch one of your vids I want to get that particular snake. I love your passion. It’s bc of you I bought my first snake a Speckled King snake. Great snake. Thanks.
I just love these videos, and every time I hear about pine snakes (especially after you mentioned that you had that northern pine years ago that was such a gem) it makes me feel like I need to fine one for myself. Glorious creature and a great and informative video! Thanks for producing such great content Chaz!
Great vid, I whole heartily agreed pine snakes are the best. Unfortunately I live within their native range so I can’t keep them legally, but I’ve seen a few out and about. Curious what your thoughts are on some of the Mexican pits. Do you keep any? I keep a deppei jani, young male, very feisty and boisterous.
Watching both they look like absolute characters 🤣🤣 the tail flick at the beginning was brilliant 🤣🤣
Great video. I work with pits & have bred thm for yrs, but still love hearing informational videos like this. Great job
One of my favorite snakes to see in the wild. Northern Pines are an incredibly unique colubrid.
Great video explaining about these fabulous snakes.

that semi-fossorial cage design is a really cool idea! I love enclosures with features that emulate all parts of the snake's wild habitat.
