I have a simple rule. 3 months. If you don’t have it by then, I will just go somewhere else to get what I want. It is a mass produced non limited edition item that isn’t custom made like my Porsche 911 Turbo S with a custom paint job
That just cannot be true! No way. I had my blue, fluted, roman 41 in one week when market was at its peak. My guess is that guy got shown it the day he went in and didnt buy it. Window shopping with AD's will get you marked. You gotta be ready to rock when you get offered if you ask for it.
Rolex as a brand is amazing, beautiful watches for sure. Rolex has a huge problem with there I distribution system. It’s probably going to hurt the brand in the long run. I’ve been able to get a watch, took a year, not a very hard to get watch, but I don’t even go in anymore and ask for something like a Batman or sub, it’s just exausting and quite frankly just not worth it. I’ve been enjoying other brands for now. It is what it is
That's a long time to wait, but I'm glad to hear it paid off mate! Congratulations on your purchase, it's such a stunning model - wear it and enjoy it 🙌
You must be in a market with very few individuals with buying power. In Miami you'd have to wait 5 yrs for that unless your paying off or sucking off the rep
Put my name down in 2021 after buying my air king. Blue face datejust fluted bezel and jubilee. Joke to say the least. And I've been on their case for years. Offered me a white face last week which I don't like, I want the blue dial after the sales man suggested it himself and originally said id have it in a few months 🙄. Purchased the air king originally as I really like the watch and still have it.
Sorry to hear about your experience mate, the wait times are ridiculous aren't they! Congratulations on your Air King purchase, so glad to hear it brings you enjoyment! Hopefully you won't be waiting much longer for the call on the Datejust 🙌
Rolex can ram the wait game. Life’s too short. There are very few models that you can’t get ~list from the grey market. Personally not interested in the Daytona range but I do like the Pepsi.
Not true, if you have a good relationship with your AD. The market is softening, and I see the mark ups you put on your pieces will also have to come down. I genuinely enjoy your videos, but a little bit of scaremongering from the odd true tale here, methinks?
@@Peltwerk Good for you - but I don’t think that’s a substitute for a Datejust, and I’m not a big Datejust fan. Grand Seiko makes some decent stuff, but I can’t bring myself to spend Rolex money on Asian product. In the same way, I prefer a Cadillac to a Lexus hands down. Most people will agree once Trump gets his agenda going too! I don’t care what the product is….. it’s all about the value proposition.
@ That’s cool to each their own. I like it because it’s titanium. GS only makes 35k watches per year so it’s a lot rarer than the Rolex. Also made and finished by hand as opposed to machine mass manufactured. It is spring drive which is quartz without a battery, powered only by a mechanical main spring. It’s far more unique then anything you’d ever find in the Rolex catalog. Having owned 3 Rolex in the past we are probably at different points in our collecting journey.
@ Brother I appreciate and respect your response. I’m not a Rolex fan in the first place, I’m a watch fan. In truth, I’m hung up on two things; one being a manual wind, and the other being an Asian watch in the +$5K price range. What you say about the GS is all true, and does indeed make it both attractive and desirable. I’m just stuck trying to reconcile the price. I can’t help to feel that for that price point, I should be looking at a Swiss brand first, followed by a German brand, then perhaps a Brit brand. I have a small collection with 1 Rolex, 1 Zenith, 6 Breitling, & 1 Longines. Yea, I really do love Breitling. Anyways, I’m trying to bring myself to find my way outside of the Swiss bubble and it’s tough. I’m not flipper. I recognize the uniqueness of the GS, and some of the dials and bracelets are quite sharp. I’m not a young collector. Just having a tough time rationalizing the Asian market for the money of the Swiss stuff. Thoughts?

I like that humble flex with your Porsche.. nice way to slide that in there 😅
waiting list my arse, never.
You got that right it is ridiculous to wait that long. Thankfully we can buy from you and skip all that nonsense. Thank you! Love your videos!❤
Good marketing for yourself lol

Oh for sure. The guy is not a serious buyer for sure.

If and when I ever get to the UK I’m going with bare wrists and straight to LWC.
Haha thank you for saying mate, I really appreciate the support! Whenever you're in the country please contact the team, we'd love to meet you 🙌
Same here. Might cost me a bit in customs duty as I gotta go back to Australia. But it would be worth it.
Got a jubilee, fluted, Wimbledon DJ 41 in February from my Ad waited 2 yrs bought 1 other watch (none Rolex) in that time.
That's a long time to wait, but I'm glad to hear it paid off mate! Congratulations on your purchase, it's such a stunning model - wear it and enjoy it 🙌
Good things come to those who wait 😉
I got my mint green DJ in 10 months; 2 years is a joke!

Just got a plain black sub date after 3 years wait
I waited just after two for the same. I'm fine with that
That's a long time to wait, but I'm glad to hear it's paid off mate! Congratulations on your purchase - wear it and enjoy it 🙌💯
I got a Non fluted 41mm Jubilee Wimbledon after 3 months from my ad with no previous spend history
Congratulations mate, you're incredibly fortunate! Wear it and enjoy it 👌
If you know someone on the inside. You get to be front of the line.
I've been waiting 18 months for a 41 wimbledon now...they totally made out that I would have had it for my 40th, which was in January, but no 😅
Lying bastards. Still waiting for my OP silver dial for my 40th.. about to be 42 and already bought 2 rolexes from greymarket
Pay the premium get the watch and be happy
Exactly mate, go to the grey and take it away on the day! 🙌
@ Appreciate you guys 👍👍👍
Rolex is a clown show
What’s you best watch Bruh?

@thehonestwatchdealer fingers crossed cheers.
Went 3 weeks ago in two ad in town and they offered me a white and a mint green DJ 41mm. Didn’t buy because I wanted the Wimbledon…
Don't feel pressured into buying anything you don't want, mate! Rejecting other models shows the AD how serious you are about the Wimbledon 🙌
Im currently on 1 year and 3 months for a Explorer II Polar 226570. Hope I get the call soon.
Good luck with your purchase mate! Hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer 🙌
@@thehonestwatchdealer tks brother
No thanks. The markups are crazy, even right now while the market is coming down.
I’ve been waiting 3months, & I’m prepared to wait 6months maximum,
Two years is just ridiculous
No one wants to wait 2 years for their dream timepiece! Good luck with your purchase mate, hopefully you won't be waiting much longer 🙌
Dont beleive a thing buy from an ad. This grey market dealers just want to make money. Like this guy .just buy from an ad

We could be dead before we get the call🤦♂️😆
(Hopefully not)😁
That's exactly it mate, people are fed up of the endless waiting! Simply go to the grey and collect it on the day 🙌

Is it possible to get tax refund if I buy watch from you? Since England is not in EU anymore
Waiting for 2 years? That's real dedication! 🕰️
Hell no! Get a Grand Seiko Snowflake SBGA211 and never buy a Datejust.
