Waiting around on Sundays to see if Teddy and Gabe agree with my takes on the game since my kids never played in the NFL and don't know I'm talking about
Common sense should tell anyone it is imperative OU let Jackson Arnold At least ten passes early in the game Because Gabriel has a history of getting hurt and knocked out of entire games . Ie 49-0 embarrassing loss last year Not Teach Lebby a lesson ???!!!!!!!!!
@@kevincuzalina3857 LOL you're ignorant. His "history of being knocked out of games" was one game where he got hit by a dirty play. Also, you act as though Bevill not getting more reps was why he performed so bad against Texas last year. Wrong, he is just bad; no amount of reps was going to fix him. Leave the comments to people who can actually think critically and doesn't need The Dukes of Hazard reruns explained to them.
Great analysis of the defense by Teddy and I agree, that everything is correctable. Gabriel is far better this year than last year, just alittle adjustment needed in timing and rhythm but he is looking great. Keep progessing as the season goes long. Stop using Jackson Arnold in short yardage, he is the future.
Best Sooners Show on the net and its not even close. Lots to improve on but not too bad so far, just keep getting better and lets see what happens. Boomer!
Does Bedenbaugh see the same issues as Gabe in the Oline? It seems the same guys are having the same issues like pad level or footwork week after week.
Kanak is going to be really good. Right now he is great when given a specific assignment like blitzing, when he has to think hes thinking too much and he isnt playing decisive.
Anderson, Farooq and Anthony are blue chippers who told Texas, Alabama and Michigan no thanks. Farooq should get Slot snaps ASAP. He's a RB playing receiver. OU's Slots don't have it. Farooq is a freak. Anderson is a freak. Anthony is a freak. All 3 had over 100 yards receiving on limited targets.
Love these dudes they know ball and love that teddy is in BVs ear!!! Love teddys take on our pass rush!!! Haven’t heard people say it’s a problem like teddy quit letting qbs extend plays, I realize easier said then done but if we can generate a pass rush we are a top defense in the country!
I skipped you guys talking about OU Vs Tulsa because I don’t want to hear it. I was at the game. I am a Tulsa fans and OU fan but I wear blue. #reigncane #loyalalwaystrue I am now again for rest of season Boomer Sooner! I was not cheering for OU during the game. I was born and raised in Tulsa!! I will now cheer for OU since they are done playing my home team.
My thought with the drop/break contain on qb, could be an intentional thing we put on film. We’re playing a mobile guy next week and now that wide opening is on film. Next week he tries that early and we send Reggie late to lay the hammer like he does and discourage the qb run
I don't know where to ask this, so I'm hoping some Sooner faithful might be able to help out. Is there a way to listen to the OU radio call if you dont live in/around OK? Listening to ESPN's C-Team ramble their way through an OU game is driving me crazy.
It really upsets me that they didn't give Tawee the ball. No, he's not going to outrun anyone but he is hard to tackle and finds holes that aren't there. Barnes looks like rigor mortis has set in and is having trouble changing directions. Sawchuck looks really rusty. I would like to see more out of Smothers and Hicks.
Big Deal 101: "Second game in program history in which three players compiled more than 100 receiving yards (Jalil Farooq, Nic Anderson and Andrel Anthony). The other occurrence was in 2012 vs. Oklahoma State (Jalen Saunders, Justin Brown, Kenny Stills)."
If they want to put in wrikles for Arnold, instead of QB power, put in some of the pause option, speed option, and option pass game from Costal Carolina.
Seeing them air it out more this game was nice. And I like our your WR's. But something that did make me a little worried was Gabriel's arm. Yeah ok you can throw that Rainbow down field pass on Tulsa. But I want to see a little more zip on the ball. otherwise I think Texas is still going to be rough if we can't run the ball.
Rule change idea… if a hit looks like that Colorado one, or the hit that was put on dg last year the opposing head coach should have the opportunity to pick a player of the opposing team to be ejected along with the player that laid the hit. Player that did it should also be out as long as the injured player
Tawee Walker deserved more carries and has so far proven to be our best runner. Getting zero carries kind of sucks. I’d feel a bit upset if I were him.
I fully agree. The game last night was a demonstration of what we don’t need the future of CF to be. Colorado was immune from personal fouls compared to State. Saw 3 blatant violations that the refs looked the other way in the first half. Disgraceful. State was penalized for seemingly everything, though. Refs were scared of Deion.
They had the most turnover of players ever, over 40, they only won 1 game last year, out of 130 Teams they have the Only Coach that is in the College Hall of Fame and the Pro Hall of Fame and they only went to TCU and beat the team that was just in the Championship Game
@chrisnipper8573 Deion kicked 70 plus players off the team before the season even started. That's on him. They beat a TCU team that lost the majority of their starters last year, a Nebraska team that OU beat 49-14 last year and Colorado St. That have yet to impress me. Beat Oregon and I'll take notice.
Do you think better teams are going to exploit the flats that seem to be open behind the linebackers? It seems those areas were wide open and not covered very well.
You guys talked about the dirty hit against the Colorado player but didn’t mention that Deion’s son walked up to a defender and stuck his fingers through the guys face mask and into his eyes like he thought he was one of the Three Stooges
Patty Gasso should be winner of the week. Just got two recruits who are ranked #1 overall in two different publications. Also got the #1 catcher. Loser obviously OSU.
I picked OU 9-3/10-2 this year because of how easy their schedule is. This @Cinci game is the first of the 5 possible games OU could lose. Texas, @Kansas, @BYU, and TCU are the others. The 3 most likely losses to me are Texas, @Kansas,@BYU. The difference between 9-3/10-2 is going to come down to if the ball bounces OUs way or not in one of those 3 games.
I agree on the 3 games. My optimism going up to Lawrence is in how terrible the KU defense is. I think we have to lose the TO margin by at least 2 to lose the advantage in that game. BYU looks decent, and and that being a road game in Provo in late November is what makes that look like an easy slip-up. We will find out more about BYU this weekend against KU. I'm not so sure their win at Arkansas will look as decent come the end of the season. I think Arkansas is pretty bad. BYU only scored 14 against Sam Houston and didn't really dominate against Southern Utah who is an FCS school.
Is there a danger that a lack of contain on QBs will lead to a repeat of last year's Kansas State game? Taylor Martinez had a one game career in that game.
I'm very much not sold on this Tulsa coach. Bad personnel decisions, bad play-calling. Not going to win many games with that directive and Tulsa will play some tougher games this season thanks hope this helps have a Great weekend all 👌
@@OK_Breakdown that sounds good but when the bad is what is emphasized way more than the good kinda comes off differently. But y’all have a different POV cause both you play there so I get it. Still love the show the birthday shoot outs are dope.
Tightend isn't a part of the passing game...right now. What happens at the Red River Shootout is a different story. I bet the passes start FLOWING to Stogner.
Nick Anderson made a commitment to two things maturity and Schmidty only scratching the surface
Nothing better than when teddy is frustrated. Cracks me up every.single.time.
I could listen to ted talk about defense all day long.
Stutsman and Kanak remind me of another pair of linebackers back in 2000s...Calmus and Lehman!
Bc they white? Lol jk
Lehman didn't play much in 2000 Torrance Marshall did. Your prolly thinking of 2001 when Marshall was gone
@brianbiswell7591 I know Marshall was the main man, I was comparing more Old Loin teaching new lion. 2001 is probably more accurate.

You guys FINALLY wore matching T-shirts. Team has to be on the same page, right? I think it's an omen.
I still think Tawee is the most consistent productive back we have. There are guys that have a higher ceiling but right now i think hes the guy.
Stutsman looking like Teddy on that pick six
Loved the fact that it was clean, respectful, unlike but yet loved Norvell balls dropped and played there heart out!
Marcus Major does look the best, the most dynamic and he looks sick in the passing game.

@@mysteriousoklahoma777 And Gabriel is consistently under-throwing the go routes.
I agree. Ted made me feel better about the defense, Particularly up front. I'm no expert on defense and he is so I trust what he sees 100%
Once again, great show!
I was just telling #60 I would use #3 like Deebo Samuel. He is shifty enough to come out the backfield, EASY.
I like that idea about Kobie at H back. That would be a better creative play than running Jackson up the middle.
Reggie has to know Gentry is a friend! Lol!
In the 2nd half I thought the pressure up the middle is what slammed the door on their little offensive run Tulsa had
Agree weakness is offensive line

Watching our OL ooze off the ball is frustrating, I agree with you on the RPO shit…
I’m glad I found this channel because RJ Young joined Fox and he barely talks about OU anymore.
I saw an interview where Coach Prime said he wanted the ball on offense in O.T. Said he wanted to set the tone and put pressure on them.
I agree we should run more 4 wide. Our 4th wr is better than the other team’s nickel or safety all day long both in the run and through the air.
Dylan Gabriel is a human being not a robot. Cut him a little bit of slack he had a fantastic game.

Same shirt...yes. Planned...no.
Thought the same thing about Farooq.
Also Llewellyn being third team long snapper is maybe a key to his future.
We almost didn't even recruit Anderson. Lincoln didn't offer until late in the cycle if I remember.

That’s my razorbacks did it with McFadden and that’s the only way that formation truly works. Florida did it that way as well.
Read option, he can give or pull and hit a receiver over the middle if the LBs suck up for the run. Arnold can obviously throw!
X receiver = Anthony, Y receiver = Farooq, Z receiver Anderson / try it and thank me later.
Farooq is the college version of Deebo Samuel. Needs 8-10 touches a game.
I really think our OL is the area we need more depth.
If vickers went deep with coverage. Who was supposed to have flat?
Put Sawchuk in with the first team offense and give him a decent amount of touches and he won't disappoint. He has elite speed.
