Not really. Two great players from different eras and different , and one, the much older and suffering from severe arthiritis, laid the base for much of what happened after his time. It would be silly to think about a fight. Only non-guitar players would see it like this.

Both players playing their own built guitar! Wow! Each has it's own distinctive tones!
Les' guitar is far from hand built. You can buy a thousand of those a day around the world. I don't think May takes his original out any longer.
just great. both guys have such unique sounds, great hearing them together.
Love Brian, excellent guitarist. Love Queen miss Freddie!
I loved how the title have to specify where is Brian May from.
Les Paul's technical prowess shows a divine match with the great Brian May.. WOW.
so much fun to watch ..les paul showing why he is who he is.. and Brian May being humble complimentary and classy.
I watched this with a smile from start to finish. Nuff said
Brian May... Humble genius, great heart, so smart! Thank you for this moment. 😍
Shocked at what a great singer Brian is...,
Just found this, great stuff!
Les Paul, distinctive and inventive as always...I think Dr May was awed by playing with Mr Paul. I think it also showed that he doesn't get to play with other guitarists that often.
Also, not to forget, that Queen were dealing with trying to write and record new material at the time, knowing Freddie had AIDS and could be dead in months or weeks. It must have been emotionally jarring.
Brian stepped in with a master of Jazz, and definitely held his own!
Was one of my best moments too! loved seeing Les!
There is a Queen renaissance going on right now, and I'm loving every minute of it!
Two legends
Whoa, Les' playing comes alive in the second jam!!!!
could you imagine to be there live?
how wonderful
Les Paul was an immense player. Of course Brian is going to show humility and respect in this company. But Brian May is completely unique and Queen are the greatest band in history! Thoroughly enjoying this
I think if he'd have had his sound he's use to, he would have been much better. You could tell he was struggling with the amp & had to be nervous as hell ta boot.
Get Les Paul up on stage to jam along to Queen songs and he'd struggle - this just highlights the differing musical worlds Brian and Les Paul occupied.
Not in his prime!
it's jet lag just got off the plane
Richard Taylor Queen better than the Doors ? Queen better than Jimi Hendrix ? Queen better than Pink Floyd ? Queen better than the Beatles ? WoW Richad Taylor. ,, whoever you are...i better ,🤐
Brian Joe n Billy all play beautifully and bring an element of comedy to the. Table àlong with Mr Paul who s à fkñ genius luv to all involved gt
Pasado y presente unidos por una estupenda pieza de Blues; dos sonidos de guitarra perfectamente ensamblados!
Brian May is a supremely talented virtuoso shredder and Les Paul is the Man
It's like a polite knife fight.
Indeed. Excellent description!
Great way to put it!
I think of it more of a mutual learning experience, two different players, with two different guitars, who play with two different styles, just doing what they do. Brian cites Les as his part of his inspiration in building the Red Special with his Dad. Mutual respect
Yep. Otherwise they'd both get bored.
Not really. Two great players from different eras and different , and one, the much older and suffering from severe arthiritis, laid the base for much of what happened after his time. It would be silly to think about a fight. Only non-guitar players would see it like this.
Brian May's Red Special is Possibly one of my favourite sounding Guitars
It Truly is. Such a unique Sound
Hands like boiled lobsters and still rocks a tune!! Les Paul, the legend!
Boiled lobsters! Omg, that's hilarious. I think his fingers were a bit more agile than that.
When Brian sings his voice sounds similar to Freddie, especially in the first song they do here.
RIP Les Paul
“If you see me crying’, babe don’t you think I’m drunk; cuz I got one eye on my pistol, and the other on your trunk” 😂😂😂😂😂
Mother of God, Les ain't lost none of that outer space jazz genius here, even with the arthritis in his left hand. He IS the Alpha guitarist in this club, bless him. Thanks for these videos, we need them. They are priceless
Exactly what I thought and think
