My wives car has the same code and im about to take off and replace the sendoe i hope this fixes the not accelerating and where it dosent go over 60mph
@@xVLADx47 that’s a big symptom of the knock sensor it puts them in limp mode. After you install it, you have to have it recoded or clear the codes to make it come out of that mode.
@Marsh-Mechanic i just finished everything and it drives the same and km about to clear the code in a bit, hopefully that actually works even tho technically my battery being disconnected should've cleared it
How many bolts all together are coming off? I took off the amount that it looked like you were doing and I still can't get the intake off. Is it a tight fit as to why it won't come off? It would be cool if you show the actual removal of the intake
@@BrooklynBred-es3wg I think someone had taken the manifold off once before there is a bracket on the back that holds it. I think to the block that even after you get your boats out, it’s not going to come out. Is it wiggling around at all?
If by slow start, you mean after the car is running you takeoff from a dead stop and it doesn’t accelerate correctly. Yes, if you mean, it takes a while to get the car running usually no. The bad sensor can put it in “limp mode” the car won’t accelerate correctly or go over 60.
@@OscarRamirez-nz8gd It’s in limp mode. Needs to be scanned and start from there. Bad knock sensor or signal from it can activate limp mode. If you scan and reset it will come out of limp mode, but you have to address whatever the scan says to repair your problem
Sounds like premature detonation could be bad gas depends on what sort of knocking you’re talking about.. could be that VVT advancing. The timing may need the timing chain with those two VVT gears.
Hello.. These systems can be very frustrating. Did you reset the computer with a scanner after you installed the sensor? Also sometimes the problem can be the wiring to the sensor. They sell a harness that is re routed to not pick up vibration and trip a code.

@ they could be stubborn sometimes with just disconnecting the 12 V the computer will only obey command sometimes
I’ve had to recode them once or twice in a row sometimes they could really be stubborn

@Marsh-Mechanic thanks for replying. Yes I finally got it to wiggle around but it seems like something on the bottom is holding it
@@BrooklynBred-es3wg no problem yes, it sounds like that bracket is holding you up. You might have to look under the car some kind of way.

What about an engine knocking noise when accelerating ?

But naturally, if it’s a rod knock hearing, there’s nothing you can do other than replace the engine

@@Jtkidstalk The part isn’t that much but the labor might be a bit. Maybe parts and labor 250-350 depending on the shop
