Great explanation of the basic way everyone lays out and draws a face. I learned this back in the 80’s in high school art class. The basics stand the test of time!
I'm just starting to play around with drawing and having your wonderful explanation of 'the layout rules' for faces is so incredibly helpful - thank you SO much!
I’m so glad this tutorial has been helpful. Once you start filling up your composition notebook…you will become confident in no time at all! Happy creating 👩🎨🖌️🎨

Hi! Thanks for the clear and concise tutorials. I have watched quite a bit of videos about drawing the face in correct proportions, and your "build a face" stye of teaching has been the easiest for me to follow. I find your overall aesthetic inspiring.😊
Im so glad my tutorials have been helpful. I tried to simplify things as much as possible because I’m not into complicated measurements 😅 If you continue practicing, you will get more confident in your drawing. Happy creating 🖌️👩🎨🎨
I do my faces more stylized, with bigger eyes and huge hair, but this is a great tutorial and I’ve already saved it to practice a bit on more realistic figures. As always, you explained everything perfectly 💙💛💚🩷🩶🩵♥️🤎🧡💜❤️
I love your teaching style. Would you consider a video on faces from different angles? I really like the idea you mentioned of making them whole figures and how that might fit into an overall composition. Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Jane…thank you for watching my tutorial and…absolutely! I’m working on different aspects of adding faces & figures (in a simplified way) to our pages🤗
@ Oh my goodness! Your directions were so awesome I actually drew a face that was pretty good. I need lots of practice, but I’m excited. Thank you so much.
@@patriciadistefano7467Awesome 🤩 Keep on filling up the pages of your composition book and you’ll see how your drawings improve over time. Happy creativing👩🎨🎨🖌️

If you keep on practicing, in no time at all, you will become more confident and be able to draw a face without using the lines! Happy creating 🖌️👩🎨🎨 PS if you send me the email, please put Drawing Pics in subject line so I know it’s not spam 🤗

Hi Suzette…thanks for watching and I’m so glad my videos is both easy to understand and helpful. Yes…face profile tutorial in the works! Happy creating 🖌️👩🎨🎨
Hi there…I’m using a Stabilo Blue pencil for the video so the camera can pick up on my lines but I recommend that you begin with a HB (or lighter) pencil so you can erase your lines as needed. Hope this helps!

You are amazing! Thanks for the "bones and meat" of a face. Drawing has everything to do with MATH. I love it!

Also, what notebook are you using.
Just a cheap notebook…you can pick one up at Walmart for a dollar. The important thing is for it to be lined so you can use them for your measurements
