Just a tip that works for me. When shipping a framed print with glass front. You can put masking tape just on the glass ( over the whole surface). So if it would break in shipping it would minimize the breaking of glass and minimize the chance of damaging the print. I used to do this when I shipped prints at the Museum I worked for.
@@pamprier4710 The tape is not on that long so it should not leave residue. If it does for some reason, I recently found a great way to get it off. Citrus Magic; Orange Blast is a room air freshener that you can get at Lowe’s . If you spray this on a paper towel and then wipe the spot the adhesive residue will come off. I would not spray the glass directly you would not want the spray to run into the print. So make sure you spray the paper towel. This works well on most non-porous surfaces like glass and some glazed ceramics.
I've moved to listing higher end, and reselling "death pile" in yard sales. The clutter drives me nuts. I hoard tools like they're gold though. There's a ton of money to be found in jewelry. Takes some dedication. Nice niche fill by Kayla. You guys rock as a team.
I LOVE selling discontinued perfumes. They sell for bank. I usually picked them up anywhere from $1-$5 and they sell from $25-$80. EASY to store, easy to list and easy to ship! Definitely in my top 3 favorite things to sell.
25:12 The design of those earrings is an Irish Claddagh. According to Wikipedia, “a Claddagh is a traditional Irish ring in which a heart represents love, the crown stands for loyalty, and two clasped hands symbolize friendship. The design and customs associated with it originated in Claddagh, County Galway. Its modern form was first produced in the 17th century.”
It seems to just fall apart when you pick it up, but it was never my favorite thing to do either. Fine gold and sterling chains are the hardest. I have used straight pins to separate knots in the past. Your box of things look great and know you'll use parts and pieces to make great things. In fact, my tassled aqua/cream bead purse piece was from this box. Amazing what you create! Good decision not to sell lesser pieces and long storage. Purchase and flip is the key. So glad you were ble to go fishing - love to fish! Cat
I picked up some jewelry because of y'all, I found some 925 and some gold plated 925. I collect uranium glass and actually found some uranium glass beads on a broach, should check your jewelry with a black light for sure!!
15:29 I have bought maybe 8 Blue Boxes over the past few years. It’s been about 6 months since I bought one. I have gotten a couple of small gold items and 2 Tiffany pieces. Overall, the boxes have been worth while. One box was complete junk and not worth what I paid, but all of the other boxes have been profitable.
Best way to detangle is yo undo all clasps and then shake stuff loose. If you have a knot in a very fine chain, use sewing needles to start opening the knot and then use toothpicks to open the knot enough to free it.
Hi My Friend's!! I hecka love your shows!! This one and the bearded thrifter ❤🎉🎉 You two are so cute and I live the way you work together. 💕 My Hubby is an Electrician and he is kinda interested but not as much as me!! Thank you for sharing all your videos. God Bless You Both. ❤🙏🏾😊 ps I want that bracelet with the sun up, sun down. My ranch is S&S Ranch. Sunrise Sunset. How can I purchase please??
Stopping at 1:10 in to give a piece of advise to anyone selling framed art. I have done custom picture framing for the past 25 years, my advise.... always store, carry, and ship framed artwork face to face or back to back. Why? The wire or other hardware on the back of frames will dig into and damage the face of the frame behind it. This can easily be avoided by storing them with either their backs together or the fronts together. Also - always clean the glass by spraying the cleaner onto a cloth - not onto the glass of the frame. Glass cleaner sprayed onto the glass in a frame will flow under the glass, get between the art and glass, and thus damage the artwork.
Question - I remember, from a previous video, you saying that you are getting away from using bubble wrap and moving toward using paper for shipping. Does that coincide with wrapping items in Saran Wrap? Is there less breakage that way? Would love to see a “how we ship” video. Thanks for another great video.
Kayla, do you sell your jewelry on Ebay? I know you said you sell on What Not. I was just wondering. I'm thinking of selling some on Ebay. I don't enjoy detangling them either.

I'm curious, how does one then remove any adhesive residue from the glass?

Simple. Use Frog tape or blue painter's tape. Releases with no, or minimal adhesive residue.
Glad to know that I am not the only one that prays over items I ship.
Me too!!!!
Me too.
"I did pray over it" that made me laugh, only because I do the same thing on some items!
The Nashville bracelet, I believe the wire is guitar/instrument strings.
Gave a shout out when you said “I prayed over it!” I do the same thing!!! ❤

To untangle necklaces use cornstarch. Just spinkle it on & makes them slippery !

The Nashville bracelet were made by women staying sober to earn extra money. The wire is from guitar strings from different country music players.
The magnetic bracelet was a Tree of Life.
May I please ask what service you use to ship Golf clubs? Thanks and God Bless.
Kayla "for me, no".😂 (Untangling jewelry)

Hey, if ya'll do get a new shop, you gotta put a timer on the lights, or else we will never hear. " i ain't got no lights."
Kayla, how on earth are you going to protect that porcelain flowered tree during shipping?
I was wondering the same thing!
🙏 Pray 😂
5:32 What price do you start your watch lots at? Do you open the watches before listing?

Best way to store and ship art work multiples is front to front and back to back…don’t put the back of one against the front of another.
Can you tell me how you ship the pictures with glass?
If i have tangled neclaces i let my daughter at them. She's really good at it.
Serafina jewelry is sold at Anthropologie.
It’s crazy how you guys sell so fast. My stuff sticks for a while. I’m guessing you just undercut everyone else.
What did you do with the shipping prices for your golf clubs?
Where do you get your boxes for golf clubs?
18:01 I would like to buy the orange and white retro necklace from you. I will message you on your website.
How did you lower the shipping price? Thanks.
Do u put things up as buy now? Or do u do auctions?
Kayla, do you sell your jewelry on Ebay? I know you said you sell on What Not. I was just wondering. I'm thinking of selling some on Ebay. I don't enjoy detangling them either.
I only sell them on EBay,if they are worth more than 50.00
That bird has a hooked beak, not a turkey.. some kind of bird of prey, a hawk or eagle of some sort.
The necklace at the 18:02 mark is fake "Amber" with "inclusions".. pretty..
Great❤❤😊
How do you sell lighters on eBay - Can you mail lighters ? 🔥
Sure can. They can't have fluid in them or else it has to go ground hazardous.
That being said I've shipped hundreds of zippos that had some fluid in them and never had a issue. Just pack them well
❤❤❤
I get the best prices on the weirdest things
Kayla your so pretty your both so sweet
Lol. I don't know why you hold up an item that you've already wrapped! We can't see what it is!
👍😃💗
