Took a few shots testing my new Mitakon 25mm with the GH5. Danggggg. It's amazing having such a tiny lens that produces shallow depth. Hope you enjoy this short video!
Some great shots from this lens! Thank you for sharing, I think this one is my next purchase for my GH5.
One of my fav lenses !
Thanks for posting this. I own a Voigtlander 17.5mm f0.95 and I tried the Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 20mm f0.95 and in my most humble opinion this is the better lens. It's has 2 weaknesses the first being if you shoot into bright light you get some flaring (some people actually like this but I don't) and the other is the focusing is super sensitive @ F 0.95. Even the most minuscule movement of the focus ring will quickly change the focus. It has better contrast than the Voigtander, and is much lighter in weight. The Voigtlander is brighter @ 0.95 (ever so slightly) at nearly 3 x the price of the Mitakon and also more than twice the price of the Mitakon I think the Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster is a much better option - excellent for video work. IMO
Wow better than Voigtlander =O
Thanks for your come back, i want buy the Voigtlander 17,5 F0,95 for my GH5 but i wan't pu 1200€ now for lens.
I think i'm going to test this Mitakon befor.
Dang I have been curious about the voigtlanders and have seen great stuff created with them. But ya I have the mitakon 25 and 17. Love them
beautiful video and stunning lens!😵
pure excellence
Did you color grade it? If yes, how?
It is superb!
Amstar Rocks Not really! I think it was a Lutify LUT. Probably the standard or natural profile and exposure and WB set well in camera. Sometimes I like to color things and sometimes I just get it done in cam. Just basic moves on color wheels to get to this.
Was this entire thing shot at f/.95?
Sorry for the slow response on this. Almost all of it was. Very sharp even wide open.
Nate Poeppel Did you use any speed boosters to get extra bokeh? I am just curious.
