- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- in todays video we are going out with the big square baler for for the 1st time in hay, we start off by changing the plunger rollers and bearings and giving the baler a good greasing and oiling. we start baling in our own hay in a couple of paddocks and make 62 bales without an issue and then we move on to lovely Leitrim to do a bit for hire and again no issues and the bales just kept coming. all in all very happy with it and how it went and im just geting into the feel of how it works as there is a lot to be minded with it
Hope you enjoy, any questions hit me down in the comments below, thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe for more. Videos every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Lovely peace a kit Phil good luck with it no bother to ye working it 👍
Best of luck with the baler phil you had a good man service it.
Smashing looking outfit. Suits the 6499 perfectly. Best of luck with her for the rest of the season
Awesome video Phil, keep up the good work and keep the videos coming 👍. All the best to you and your family, stay safe, all the best, Martin
Watching baling takes me back to my childhood using an IH475 and IH-B47 baler, we put 1000's of bales through it, a lot more work then the round silage bales used now. Greets from up north
We will be watching later your getting very professional at making these videos and brother as well.Take us way from every day life. You work so hard everyone should know it’s hard work this farming.GodBless.👍🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
You Irish boys are the same as us Scottish crew anything above 20 degrees is a killer but I think that is because of all the bogs causing so much humidity
Can we have a farmer Phil T-shirt that says "This is a big bale and those are far away !!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍😂😂😂😂
Great start Phil, best of luck to you. I think you need a pair of sunglasses 😎
Farmer phil is brillant
Good luck with new baler...really enjoy the videos
Just in time for the coffee ☕
Best of luck with the rest of the season 🚜🇮🇪
baler running nice and quiet .........well done you .......! long way better than the small square bales that used to be made ............imagine loading idot blocks by hand in todays sun ...........!
Great video phil, looks to be making a good bale.
Nice Video of Bailing the Field using the Big Square Baler Philip
Lovely interesting video. good luck with it
Great video enjoyed seeing the baler in action. Yep we are out of our comfort zone here in Devon too with the temperatures, cooler tomorrow here thank goodness.
Wishing you the very best of luck with that baker good job now in fairness 🤛🤛
One happy man 😎
Good stuff Phil, looks the part Lad, it will be fun dragging those bales them out in winter time!
That tractor and the baler are a nice looking combination Phil best of luck with them
Get yourself a camera at the back of the baler that you can see in the cab. Just a little touch that makes it a lot easier when backing up and to check if everything is doing okay back there.
FARMER PHIL, COWBOY JIM HERE IN ALBERTA CANADA. WHAT A JOY FOR THIS OLD IRISHMAN TO WATCH AND LISTEN TO YOUR WONDERFUL ACCENT, BROTHER, TAKE A LISTEN TO MY LAST VIDEO, CALLED,GOD BLESS NORTH AMERICA.
Class video. Loving those big but not big bales. That new black shirt looks class.
Nice one Phil.
You couldn't save bad hay this weather.
Best of luck for the season.
Great video 👌
Great outfit Good luck with her
Great video Phil,
Nice video, baler, shirt and SHAVE didn’t recognize you at first Phil. 😀👍👍
Best of luck with the new baler Phil👍. You should weight a square bale and a round on the diet feeder
Great video Phil the 6499 looks great on the baler that’s a fine rig the best of luck with it
That smaller big square baler is just the right size. Bigger isn't always better, in particular if you're working to the country.
Awsome vid farmer Phil good 👍 looking hay 🚜🚜👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧😎😎👩🌾👩🌾
Big bale wrapper now and do haylage... Best of luck with it.
Shirted , sheared and shaved looking smart I must say you do look dapper. I do enjoy your videos down to earth farm family.
Me looking for the video yesterday 😌
I was interested in what you said about safety, Phil. I'm no farmer, but I'm a mechanic (of sorts) and I understand how accidents can happen. The temptation is always to promise yourself that you'll put on the gauntlets or the boots or the safety goggles or the head-protection AFTER this next job... And that's usually when bad things happen.
I use a bike for my daily transport; I do 70 miles a week and wear safety glasses when I'm out on the road.
What got me started wearing eye protection? Not the grit being thrown up by passing cars, or the horizontal hailstones of a typical English summer - I rode into a bumblebee at 30 mph!
🐝👀 Aargh!
Big as a potato, it was. Smack, bang, right in the eye. (It smarted a bit, but there was no harm done and we both survived.)
I wear safety specs so often now that I sometimes forget I've got them on. You get some funny looks at the supermarket checkout...
Anyway, look after yourself, Phil. 🙃
Well done lads looks good 👍
Love these videos there class
No shortage of twine about the place now then 😁. Sure she will be a grand machine for you👍 do did look like a kid coming out the toy shop with a new toy. Well done and fingers crossed for you 🤔 I not the needle fingers though that would be bad 😉😂😁 stay safe 🏴
Great video as usual, Phil.
re bonjour une très belle vidéo tout Massey 😍👍👍👍
Invest in a moisture metre for sqaures
And a decent camera
@@kevinmanley2498 yes very important and a leaf blower for daily blow downs
Best of luck with the baler Phil fine machine, ye should invest in a milwaukee grease gun, great yoke..
Nice set up phil
07:58 Had a baler catch on fire not too far from where i am, last week or the week before that.
It burned down completely, if i´m not mistaken.
So anyway, point is: Very, very good idea!
You need to put the baler on the 3690 and the 6290 and 6480 and see what works best
Every baler operator's dream, not having to pause on the swarth.
Great job the square baler us doing great phil this is just a thought but don't wear black in summer heat try a grey t shirt or white and blue jeans over here we are baling in 90 to 100f. We would die in that outfit here its just to hot
Fine machine Phil!, best of luck with her. I'd suggest a larger fire extinguisher though.
Good idea very rare to happen but l think their should be a decent sized 1 in any tractor harvesting baling it don't take long to do alot of damage if a pipe starts blow oil
@@johnmcintyre800 not as uncommon as you'd think....I had a 5x4 Class go up cos of a bearing
@@684ih4 l know they can no matter what but you should try and blow them off twice a day if possible
And just watch for build up if in certain types of grass and touch the wheels check for.heat
Even spit will show heat building
You need to treat yourself to a nice electric grease gun for yourself and father phil. Another good video again and you can’t beat square bales for building walls for makeshift grain clamps silage clamps etc
How do you stuck those monsters.
Knots down and out ha ha.
Well ware best of luck with your new baler bit of hard earned advice never reverse a square baler while baling it can be costly keep up the good work.
Exactly and if bogs try never to tow it back even if it takes pulley blocks keep it going foward
We're u a lely welger man at 1 stage fran
@@barrettagri6705 yep
@@franreynolds8506 I bought a welger big square baler in kerry and I was told by the man that owned it that u helped him a few times.
Well done Phil. Best of luck with the new bailer
Is this Phillip Reutter?
Put it on the 3690
Mini big bales we call Them in denmark
The bill hook is hanging on to the knot till the next stroke
Will you take her to donegal?
Well said liv it's a rectangular not a square..thanks..
set the bale up on the corner of the diet feeder and weigh the bale on it
Great to big Square baler out working 👌👌🤙🤙👍👍
Checking out Crawfordfarms he’s building a big grain shed you may like to see.
Not long started out on YT #crawfordfarms
Nice shirt, any other colour other than black?
0:37 fifteen more seconds and he'll be missing an eye.
Don't think it was that close and it's kinda of like punching yourself in the face it's kind of hard to do on purpose and he is looking right at the jack so it is getting close though but I have tied a load of bales down and went to pull the binder on the back slipped off and hit myself in the jaw 🤣all it did was pi$$ me off for the rest of the day
👍🇨🇮😉
Nice combo Phil, can you tell me what the music is at 19.47 thanks
Throne - Rival, Lost Identities
Thank you Henry chalmers much appreciated🤙
how many round bales to a square bale? or are they about the same size
Depends on how big you make the square.
#y
That’s very annoying cattle breaking in and upsetting things. You can’t get too mad though as your own animals could break out to him tomorrow lol.
U should wear a white or lighter colour shirt in the sun.
Did you get a haircut
Super video Phil. I don't know what looks better, the new shirt or the 185 baler on the back of the 6499.
Both look excellent and very professional. 👍👏👏
Good vid Phil Maybe a gator for liv next 😂
Check the floor measurements on the trailer and adjust the size to suit. Nice machine.
Great video and best of luck with the baler. Couldn't believe the changing of the pto stub, other makes are click and remove like john deere. Fine job done and great to see the hay
U should put it on the 3690 it would look absolutely savage
he said he can’t look at his last video
@@daithimaguire8922 5 mins changes a shaft
Congratulations Phil!! Was so excited to see it all working. 👍🚜 great video and thanks for taking the time to make it even though you had to concentrate on baling ✌️
I would think your 80/70 bales would be pretty similar to a round bale maybe a touch heavyer, you definitely want to get a cheap ebay camera and put it on the back of the baler to watch the bales coming off the back as I wouldn't be with out mine now and plus you can see where your reversing,
The knotters will want a bit of playing with but before u do anything read the book about knotter issues it should explain it and tell u how to correct it, but don't go playing around to much I always say "if it's not broken don't fix it" and get a few spares to especially the springs as they do snap occasionally
Phil your doing a great job keep it up friend 👍please keep the great videos coming
Whats the name of that song famer phil cheers 👍👍
How many round bales would be in one square bale ?
would be nice to see the 3690 on the BIG SQUARE BALER
Bro is getting very handy with the drone.
You’re stringing me along.
Nice one Phil, hope ye have good luck with it now. I can smell that video nearly!!
Good afternoon to all from Nice Lovely piece of kit. Hopefully it will lighten the load a bit in winter ? Good to see Father Phil making an appearance and to see his hands in action
Nice hair cut
Great vid! And you could actually see on the drone footage that the 6499 puffed smoke for every stroke the baler made :) Will the 3690 be on the baler later on? :)
HI Phil. please get some of those shirts you are wearing. If you do i will certainly buy one as i don't like polo shirts - I am the wrong shape. !!
Yes heat and 22C +. In Ireland and the UK we have very High Humidity and it is not so much the temp on its own but the humidity that goes with it. +2C to 3C here on a damp day and you are freezing. -5C to -7C in Germany and it's nice. 30C in France is nice, 30C in Ireland other than been on the beach and its murder to do any work and one can get Sun Stroke also. So Combination of heat and HUMIDITY. !!!!. Temps in Kerry have been 27C, 28C and even 31C in places. Night time temps have not been less than +17C. Nice job on the MF 185 Big Square. Congrats.
Great video….. nice to that how your like a child in a sweet shop with your new baler!!! Wait till the word spreads more about this and you’ll be at it morning noon and night😀 as not many or none up yer way and other counties I’m guessing!!! best of luck with it!!!
Well wear phil
Lovely outfit. I find the small squares keep better when they're not murder tight.
Phil your face was as red as the Massey 😭😭😭😭
Looking Cool with your black shirt love to have one of them Phil
Very good Miss it so much 👌😢😪
how is the maize doing now?
Heat stroke is no fun.
was 29 in the shade her today .........hard to avoid the heat stroke if doing hard work out doors ...........
