Super video Phil. I don't know what looks better, the new shirt or the 185 baler on the back of the 6499. Both look excellent and very professional. 👍👏👏
Watching baling takes me back to my childhood using an IH475 and IH-B47 baler, we put 1000's of bales through it, a lot more work then the round silage bales used now. Greets from up north
We will be watching later your getting very professional at making these videos and brother as well.Take us way from every day life. You work so hard everyone should know it’s hard work this farming.GodBless.👍🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Congratulations Phil!! Was so excited to see it all working. 👍🚜 great video and thanks for taking the time to make it even though you had to concentrate on baling ✌️
Good afternoon to all from Nice Lovely piece of kit. Hopefully it will lighten the load a bit in winter ? Good to see Father Phil making an appearance and to see his hands in action
Great video and best of luck with the baler. Couldn't believe the changing of the pto stub, other makes are click and remove like john deere. Fine job done and great to see the hay
baler running nice and quiet .........well done you .......! long way better than the small square bales that used to be made ............imagine loading idot blocks by hand in todays sun ...........!
You Irish boys are the same as us Scottish crew anything above 20 degrees is a killer but I think that is because of all the bogs causing so much humidity
Great video….. nice to that how your like a child in a sweet shop with your new baler!!! Wait till the word spreads more about this and you’ll be at it morning noon and night😀 as not many or none up yer way and other counties I’m guessing!!! best of luck with it!!!
Great video enjoyed seeing the baler in action. Yep we are out of our comfort zone here in Devon too with the temperatures, cooler tomorrow here thank goodness.
07:58 Had a baler catch on fire not too far from where i am, last week or the week before that. It burned down completely, if i´m not mistaken. So anyway, point is: Very, very good idea!
Get yourself a camera at the back of the baler that you can see in the cab. Just a little touch that makes it a lot easier when backing up and to check if everything is doing okay back there.
Good idea very rare to happen but l think their should be a decent sized 1 in any tractor harvesting baling it don't take long to do alot of damage if a pipe starts blow oil
@@684ih4 l know they can no matter what but you should try and blow them off twice a day if possible And just watch for build up if in certain types of grass and touch the wheels check for.heat Even spit will show heat building
Yes heat and 22C +. In Ireland and the UK we have very High Humidity and it is not so much the temp on its own but the humidity that goes with it. +2C to 3C here on a damp day and you are freezing. -5C to -7C in Germany and it's nice. 30C in France is nice, 30C in Ireland other than been on the beach and its murder to do any work and one can get Sun Stroke also. So Combination of heat and HUMIDITY. !!!!. Temps in Kerry have been 27C, 28C and even 31C in places. Night time temps have not been less than +17C. Nice job on the MF 185 Big Square. Congrats.
I was interested in what you said about safety, Phil. I'm no farmer, but I'm a mechanic (of sorts) and I understand how accidents can happen. The temptation is always to promise yourself that you'll put on the gauntlets or the boots or the safety goggles or the head-protection AFTER this next job... And that's usually when bad things happen. I use a bike for my daily transport; I do 70 miles a week and wear safety glasses when I'm out on the road. What got me started wearing eye protection? Not the grit being thrown up by passing cars, or the horizontal hailstones of a typical English summer - I rode into a bumblebee at 30 mph! 🐝👀 Aargh! Big as a potato, it was. Smack, bang, right in the eye. (It smarted a bit, but there was no harm done and we both survived.) I wear safety specs so often now that I sometimes forget I've got them on. You get some funny looks at the supermarket checkout... Anyway, look after yourself, Phil. 🙃
No shortage of twine about the place now then 😁. Sure she will be a grand machine for you👍 do did look like a kid coming out the toy shop with a new toy. Well done and fingers crossed for you 🤔 I not the needle fingers though that would be bad 😉😂😁 stay safe 🏴
Great vid! And you could actually see on the drone footage that the 6499 puffed smoke for every stroke the baler made :) Will the 3690 be on the baler later on? :)
Great job the square baler us doing great phil this is just a thought but don't wear black in summer heat try a grey t shirt or white and blue jeans over here we are baling in 90 to 100f. We would die in that outfit here its just to hot
I would think your 80/70 bales would be pretty similar to a round bale maybe a touch heavyer, you definitely want to get a cheap ebay camera and put it on the back of the baler to watch the bales coming off the back as I wouldn't be with out mine now and plus you can see where your reversing, The knotters will want a bit of playing with but before u do anything read the book about knotter issues it should explain it and tell u how to correct it, but don't go playing around to much I always say "if it's not broken don't fix it" and get a few spares to especially the springs as they do snap occasionally
You need to treat yourself to a nice electric grease gun for yourself and father phil. Another good video again and you can’t beat square bales for building walls for makeshift grain clamps silage clamps etc
