One reason that people don't evacuate is because they can't afford to. Can't afford to miss a shift at the plant, can't afford a tank of gas, can't afford a place to stay, or to replace the goods they couldn't carry when they do get to safety.
I just saw a video on underwater cave diving, an instructor had gone into some caves and cemented rebar into the opening of caves where four divers had drowned, and warned his class. The next week they had to rescue two divers from the class who had been specifically warned, next to the pulled out rebar they had a stencil that read 'you can't keep us out'. One of the men had drowned while the other had to inform search and rescue, and faced his instructor who had to fish out his friend. At a certain point, stupid is as stupid does.
I've seen enough UA-cam videos to know to stay out of caves, even the pros can succumb to caves, I wouldn't even go into a dry cave never mind a water cave
It's easy to tell a believable lie in a 140 characters, it's nearly impossible to debunk that lie with the same amount of characters. Bad actors *know* people are prone to snap judgements, not being bothered to educate themselves or recognize the nuance to the issue, and will take advantage accordingly.
I mean, the companies will have records of posts. Just start sending lawsuits to misinformation spreaders. Personally I think that the provincial governments should have sent bills to misinfo spreaders. You got clout you wanted by spreading bullshit, now you get to help pay for the extra costs incurred.
@@mikearchibald744 I know it is somewhat regulated. What I'm saying is that there should be harsher financial penalties in place to make misinformation hurt.
Just a quick aside about cloud seeding. In Canada (from the very limited research I have conducted) cloud seeding is done at a semi-large scale in Alberta by insurance companies in order to induce rain/snowfall in order to prevent big hail storms hitting urban centers so they don't have to make payouts to people whose property gets fucked up by hail.
What is Danielle Smith's angle with regards to the chemtrail conspiracy, is she deflecting issue onto other actors, such as federal government, WEF, etc ... to preached to her base?
Thank you for your hgh competency in analysis and communication. Especially thank you for your brilliant production values. Then again, just plain old Thank You Rachel!
It's pretty painful to need to debunk assholes during a crisis, we should be concentrating on helping each other. Stay safe Florida.

Yep, the poor suffer the consequences while the well off can just avoid the entire issue.
Rachel Thank you for posting this

@@digginggopher That, and I know to get the hell out of the way of a hurricane.
People like to believe things will always work out for them, that bad things only happen to bad people.
There should be criminal charges placed on people who intentionally spread misinformation which results in people being harmed.
Modern scientists can see this stuff coming from a mile away. Fighting disinfo is dishearteningly costly.

@@peterarlington223 Yep. Brandolini's Law.
can't tell me social media is not a weapon and does not need to be regulated.
Anything can be, it's why things need to be researched and alternatives found.
No thanks, if people are idiots thats their problem. Take a look at whats going on in Australia. UA-cam is already censoring, but not misinformation.

Yep, and it requires ramming a plane into that storm. Also it's less cloud seeding and more changing the chemicals inside a pre-existing cloud.
And Democrats do not use cloud seeding to send Hurricanes to punish Trump voters as MTG is telling people.

Actually she pointed them towards the US Department of Defence lol

I'm disappointed with your pronunciation of Helene.
That's your takeaway?
Thanks for your input Rachel. Call it global warming or climate change ... the end results are the same ... more extreme weather ahead!⛈️🌪️🌀🫧⚡
