Well done Phil, you are 100% correct - a business has to be run as a business and that means keeping the customers expectations realistic and delivering a realistic service.
My “job” is doing whatever I choice to do. If that’s educating, detailing, reviewing, or putting people I their place, that’s my JOB AMD I will continue to do so as I please. The fact that people are enjoying our videos and loving our detailing services proves my point. You see when people are left unchecked such as these so called “detailers” who criticize, it will cause confusion and chaos in the industry. I will NOT stand for that. I will correct them when I see fit.
@@MirandaDetailing Dude you’re absolutely right! People forget that you’re not providing a free service, I get it there are other channels out there that focus on polishing paint behind the tail lights and plastic trim. But they’re either doing it for their own vehicle or they’re charging an astronomical amount of money to take the detailing to that level. For example some of the more insane details the Ammo NYC does he’s charging $10,000-$20,000, In which case as you mentioned his brand and demographic warrant those prices given the vehicles he applies those specific services to cost well over $1 million and some $10s of millions of dollars.
This video is 3yrs old😮You & your wife did an amazing job on this red Buick. I thought this video was a more recent video. Believe me you would see my vehicles getting detailed by you & your wife. Im sure what you charged was worth every cent. Beautiful job!
You are one of the few detailing business owners on UA-cam who reminds people that you are a BUSINESS. As I've just turned my passion for detailing into a real business I appreciate your insights/tips. I may take your detailing course as well soon...thanks!👍🏾
Thanks so much! We really try to make that apparent in our videos. Sometimes people want us to go 100% on vehicles when that’s NOT what the customer wants or needs or can afford. The “UA-cam Detailers”, wile entertaining to watch and gain some tips from, have really flooded the minds of people with unrealistic expectations on everyday daily drivers that don’t need such extreme make overs. If our customers wanted to over pay us and want us to go above and beyond we can totally do that….but our customers don’t have the need or money for that. Thanks for the support!😎👍🏼
I use the spray sealant to remove the all in one. I try to match up products with the company that makes them. Great job! I really like how real you are! 👍🇺🇸
Stay on that soapbox Phil. Wish I followed you a few years ago. So much "truth" in that rant. Maxshine is a favorite of mine. Great products at a great price. 👍🏻
Phil totally with you regarding the limitation according to customer needs and expectations. However, I am sure you customer never expected the results you achieved and will be more than happy with the end results. Thanks for your time and efforts you put into your videos, it’s appreciated. Regards to both of you.
I have learned sooo much watching your videos, i am grateful for all the time and effort both of you put into this channel and creating this great content. The trolls will troll, it's what they do....
That turned out great. Nice and glossy. One thing that jumped out at me was how much your garage has changed - the floor, black shelving, black walls, and you've put a lot more stuff in it
As always you are so right. I get tired of the hands speed comments all the time. I just tell them this is how I do it you do it how you want to do it. As long as I am getting the correction I want then that’s all that matters. I see UA-camrs moving at a snails pace and when the camera is off I almost bet they don’t do that.
Totally man! It’s time to put them in their place! People who actually know how to polish don’t waste their time telling others they are doing it wrong on UA-cam. 😆😆 it’s so pathetic. You never see any of us guys and gals on here pointing fingers and calling others out! The ones who do that, are the ones we should disregard.
Excellent advice Phil. I started detailing cars in the mid sixties when Blue Coral was the pinnacle of paint detailing especially on GM lacquer paint. I have gained a new appreciation for your expertise and knowledge base. Your business sense is spot on. I still detail 2-3 cars a week. I guess at 73 I've learned so much from your channel.. lately I've done several Porsches and one Bentley. Excellent results. Keep up the great work.
As a retired Prestige Car Painter in Australia who also enjoys Detailing part time I like your mindset , do a good job that the customer is happy with but one must make money. Keep up the great work Phil
YOU ARE THE MAN !!!!!!!!! I APPRECIATE YOU BEING A REALIST I AM REALLY ENJOYING YOUR CHANNEL. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK. I JUST ORDERED THE MAX SHINE POLISH AND SPRAY MIST THAT YOU SHOWED. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I think alot of people watch these asmr vids with people taping everything and recording everything over a period of a few days from every angle because like you said, it's their passion. That's cool but you tell it how it is. Daily life, working man (and woman) doing what they need to do and I'm sure your customers get exactly what they need according to their budget and your time. And I'm also sure, you'd go 110% if the customer requested and paid for it. I appreciate your videos and I've been learning a lot on a weekly basis from your videos since I became more enthusiastic about this topic. Thank you and keep up the great and genuine content!
Afternoon team. One thing i have learned from this channel, do not over complicate things. I have simplified my routine and still get good results. this is from an enthusiast not a professional detailer.
Hey Phil. How's it going. I hear you on the topic of judging other detailers and their technic. You're doing an awesome job. Ignore the comments. There are so many haters out there. They hate just for the joy of it . To them it's entertainment. Just keep on doing and educating the people that wants to learn ok. Your skills are valuable not only to you but to the rest of us that wants to learn and follow you and yours. Yes the wife gets credit too smiles. It's amazing to see a lady with the skill set that she has polishing a car or vehicle. I want to thank you and her for having this channel.
Thank you, guys! I'm just getting started. Not only are your videos educational reference different products and techniques (as a mobile guy, I really appreciate knowing what works in sunlight/shade, etc), but the idea of balancing business practices (toning down my OCD to meet what the customer is paying). Good job! Much appreciated!
Phil the way you present the work and talk thru topics is very absorbing to listen to. You make so many demonstrations and tips it’s well worth listening to you. Well done my friend
That’s Right Phil & Jess, you do what you want to do and go as fast as you want to go. Your business, your show, your call. Tell some of these people to go take a hike. Your great and produce great content. If I lived closer to you I would give you and refer you business in a heart beat.
Product+Pad+Arm speed (method) is the key to improving the paint. The way you do it saves clear coat and gives results that please the customer and your TIME! Customer happy and you getting paid are all that counts. Perfection is the result.
Agreed with your comments regarding the perfection expectations that many detailers want to do. If you aim for perfection you will have to charge the customers 1000% more and like you said many of them won’t pay for it. I my case I’m ocd and try for perfection but I do it as a side gig and my customers love what I do and I don’t charge them that much since it’s not a business. In short, keep doing what you’re doing Phil, I enjoy the videos and they help me not to go crazy when I can’t achieve perfection sometimes.
Hello from Northern Ireland. As always another great job on a vehicle love watching you and your wife working together so amazing. Would even consider a trip over to get a detail class with you both. That would be so cool. Keep up the great work
you speak the truth in your videos, not all businesses work with supercars, most are daily drivers customers who want their cars to look good and have some protection, they will not pay for a full show car paint correction, some may, and like you said it depends on demographics and the market you have around.
Phil you guys do a fantastic job always. I watch every video I can of yours and they are always wonderful. I understand that there are know-it-all trolls out there that are gonna say those disrespectful things and be mean but that's only because they want to do half as good of a job as you guys do so pay no attention to them. There is no room in this world, especially this day and age, for negativity. You guys are fantastic just remember that!
I really like my maxshine 15mm pro Green. When I got mine I did a 2 set on my old truck. I took my head drive gear head off and found out that there is not enough grease on the gears. I cleaned out the old grease and replaced with bearing grease. Phil I think it’s funny that you have to tell people to keep their opinions to themselves 😆

AIO polishing jobs are my favourite (I’m in NE England) Doesn’t need to be 100%, but massive improvement in one day. I do ceramic coatings etc but I prefer AIO jobs Forever in search of the “best” AIO machine product… the holy grail
Great job as always Phil! The max shine all in one looks nice! Also the green polisher is sweet(my favorite color combo is green & black) I gotta give it to you because if I saw those stupid comments from supposed(experts) I would probably get my channel shutdown because I couldn’t hold back lol. Even if you(anyone) think you know everything there’s always someone that knows more. Take care Phil & wife!
Yup, Yup, absolutely 100% right. I know the trolls are sales people that yap and yap and yap their mouth as if they are geniuses, but they are not. 😠😡 Don't loose your stride, Phil. 👍👍
Good morning sir I want to thank you for all the information and the way you explain I love it when I call you are the professional master I’m right I it’s amazing job sir thank you again and you have a nice day
Everytime I see folks on UA-cam washing vehicles outside in the sun I just think how crazy that is haha can't do that where I live unfortunately... Average temp is 110F to 120F you learn to wash your car in the garage here😎 Phil really liking these products that are affordable but good. Keep these videos coming👍
I know right? It’s certainly not easy especially when it’s high 90’s and humid, but we make it work. Our water is also pretty good so we don’t suffer with water spot issues. Thanks man! 😎👍🏼
Excellent & informative video & i like your simplified and effective methods. Have often been confused by detailers using AIO's on decent condition paintwork instructing you for example to split a panel area like the hood into 9 & do 2/3 passes etc etc, but it looks like it's not really necessary judging by your results. I am contemplating using Uno Protect on my 2 year old Mercedes but have been put off by people over complicating the procedure. Thank your for sharing your valuable knowledge👍🏻
Man Phil you are so right on the money as to what you say do you have insurance in case of god forbid damage , the more I wstch the more it all makes sense. Thanks for the tips and advice craigger Canada.
Well said , there is a menu and differental cliental , it is almost like a restaurant buisiness , you have Macdonald ,which serves a purpose and you have your high class restaurants with a different cliental and expectations of service. Therefore you serve and price accordingly, it does not mean that a lower charged customer is less worthy, it means that we get what we pay for and new detailers need to know this inorder to make a living.
Loved this video and information! I've been curious to know how the Maxshine AIO works, looks pretty good 👍! I purchased that same air compressor based on a video of yours awhile back. I love it, it's so quiet!!!
Hi. Thanks. So for ceramic coating jobs we only use Dr Beasleys NSP primer polishes. They work the best in our opinion. ua-cam.com/video/FuxGC0jU0Nw/v-deo.html
Question, first off, thank you for all the knowledge you give, it does help a lot. To the question, after the All in One, do you wipe down using the Gyeon Prep or any other prep you have? Then apply any other “chemical” for that last touch, or apply that “chemical” right after AIO without the Prep spray. Basically , what are the do’s or don’t after AIO. Hope this makes sense! Again, thank you!
Hi. Thanks! Great question. With All In One polishes there is no need for using a panel prep. There is protection already built into the polish and it’s laying down protection on the paint. So you don’t need to use any panel prep to negate that. So we just use a spray sealant as a topper if we so choose.
Lol,goofy comments.."Shhhh" LMAO! You're a trip. Another fine job by The Miranda's! I like how that MaxShine delivered....prep proved it's there to stay. Keep up the great work!
Hi Phil, I really like your straight talk and putting the “negative” comments in their place. As you say, you are doing this a long enough to know what is possible and feasible. Good man!
Phil, The RDX came out Great. That is my favorite paint color as my last 4 out six vehicles were similar and Yes! That color Paint is very forgiving. I like how you answered my question whether the AIO is masking the correction with fillers and so glad you broke out the Panel wipe. Thank you for addressing the Negative comments with good sound advice. What I don't understand is with all the free information you share you should have well over a Million subscribers. I guess Entertainment over Education sells better on UA-cam.
Hi. Thanks so much and you’re welcome! Yeah people always love to be entertained, even if the info is tainted, bias, or just plain incorrect. Entertainment is cool and everything, but when people can’t distinguish between what’s real and what’s just for entertainment purposes it really confuses people.. The big detailing channels seem to just fill new detailers minds with false expectations, but I guess they just eat it up and regurgitate it upon others, and most times it’s wrong or dogmatic. Sad really….that’s why I actively speak out and set matters straight here! Thanks! 😎👍🏼
Love the vids! I started tinkering with my truck and then the family cars. I now have people or friends that want their vehicle done. They ask how much I would charge and have no idea what to charge. What would you charge? It took me all day 8 hours. I did exactly the same thing you did on the RDX. The difference is most of the people asking own trucks or SUV. Thanks for the input and vids.
Hi! Thanks! That’s great! Well I would look around at the prices of other local detailers first and then base it off that. But don’t sell yourself short, charge an appropriate amount for your time and products and tools used. Our full details start at $275 but those we both get finished in about 3-4 hours. If we are doing any polishing the price goes up $250+. I think that’s very fair especially for the amount of hours spent and the expertise you provide.
Thanks for the great videos and knowledge, Phil. You and the wifey keep up the great work! When you are successful, you are always going to attract haters
Thanks. Yeah I have tried that before and does work really well. On softer black paint it may leave a little marring though, so you may have to use the orange pad
Dr. Beasley's NSP Z1 looks like a winner with a year or ceramic. I think I'll try it on my Ram. Not too impressed with TW Hybrid Ceramic. Not interested in their Flex after that. Not to be a jerk but there were still a lot of defects in the paint after that first pass, far better but not great.
Hi. The NSP z1 I found to be really difficult to work with for me. It a pain to wipe off and I didn’t see it perform well at all 🤷🏻♂️. We have had WAY more success and better results with the Hybrid Solutions and Pro. Defects? You mean on this ALL In One service? It’s not our enhancement so I wasn’t even expecting it to be as good as it turned out. Remember what I said about customer expectations and how our services are customized for the customer and not for the viewers here on UA-cam. The owner blown away at the result! And THATS the point! 😎👍🏼
Also I researched about the trim taping issues because of the residue & found out that the hydrocarbons in most old school compounds & polishes is what causes the white staining. Apparently most water-based compounds & polishes are the ones that don’t leave the staining. I thought it was interesting.🤔
Sweet, Thanks for that Xtreme solution Gem, going to try it out. I work a lot in the sun and so far I use Sonax but with a spritz of water to sort of keep it cool. As far as “ priming “ the pad I stop doing it as well Waste of product if you ask me 3 dots like you did Dap the pad on the panel and the pad will be somewhat primed $300 for a exterior only on a SUV, for a all in one polish is a good price. That’s my price for a average sedan. Have you done anything to SPTA cordless ? How long does it last before you switch battery? I’m thinking of going cordless and based on Scott HD cordless review I might be going with the Kobalt. Not sure yet
Thanks man! We haven’t done anything with the SPTA yet. I was going to repack the head with better grease but haven’t gotten around to it yet. As far as battery life, it’s pretty good. I use about 4-5 batteries for a whole vehicle doing an enhancement. So that’s pretty good. We do have lots of batteries and chargers now. I wouldn’t go with that lovely. It’s not a 15mm throw like the SPTA. The SPTA has been one of the best cordless polishes we have tried so far.
If I were to use maxshine aio then I'm going to use maxshine mist. I like to keep it all in the family. Lol Nice video brother. Keep up the Amazing work
718th like. I like your style of detailing!👍🏼 it’s not that too much methodical or by the book. Your system saves TIME, and that’s MONEY. am using uno protect + p&s beadmaker 1 step combo. No skipping of advertisements to support your channel. greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Hi Phil I like how you explain how you do the job, every detailer has different ways and techniques. For that interior and exterior how long it will take to get the job done? Thanks

I bought the Stoners Trim Shine on your recommendation. Can’t wait to use it but it’s been raining a lot down here in Miami. Thanks as always!!
Watching this at 4am. Would love to watch the whole video but gotta drop my son off at daycare in a few hrs lol.
Keep up the great work!!! I've learned so much from watching your videos!!
Thaku , great instructor.
Agree phil.....100%. gyeon Prep is ipa based.....and Gtechink even more powerful is solvent based. I understand how you feal....keep up great job
Yup, Yup, absolutely 100% right. I know the trolls are sales people that yap and yap and yap their mouth as if they are geniuses, but they are not. 😠😡 Don't loose your stride, Phil. 👍👍
Good morning sir I want to thank you for all the information and the way you explain I love it when I call you are the professional master I’m right I it’s amazing job sir thank you again and you have a nice day
Thanks so much!! 😎👍🏼
nice video. I just hit the wheels quick with turtle wax seal and shine. I've used mckees37, hydroblu and only get like a month out of it.
As always great video and love how you tell it and I learn a lot from you’re videos keep them coming 👍
Everytime I see folks on UA-cam washing vehicles outside in the sun I just think how crazy that is haha can't do that where I live unfortunately... Average temp is 110F to 120F you learn to wash your car in the garage here😎
Phil really liking these products that are affordable but good. Keep these videos coming👍
I know right? It’s certainly not easy especially when it’s high 90’s and humid, but we make it work. Our water is also pretty good so we don’t suffer with water spot issues. Thanks man! 😎👍🏼
Thank you for the informative videos and tips Phil!
Good job Phil!!
Hi don't worry about stupid comments you R doing great job I cleaned my car with your method and it's great
Excellent & informative video & i like your simplified and effective methods.
Thanks! You’re welcome!
Man Phil you are so right on the money as to what you say do you have insurance in case of god forbid damage , the more I wstch the more it all makes sense. Thanks for the tips and advice craigger Canada.
Thanks!!
Thanks! Exactly!
Your wife did a great job!
Awesome video as always brother 👍🏼
Thank you for doing this on your vacation.
😎🏖👍🏼
Loved this video and information! I've been curious to know how the Maxshine AIO works, looks pretty good 👍! I purchased that same air compressor based on a video of yours awhile back. I love it, it's so quiet!!!
Awesome! Thanks so much!
Woohoo!!! New video to watch. Got my coffee and I'm ready to go.
😎👍🏼 ☕️ 🧁
Great result on that Acura👍
Great video!.....You made so many excellent points in this video!!!!👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the vid guys!!! Give them hell!!! Been watching ya for a couple months now. Again, thanks!!!
Thank YOU! 😎👍🏼
Hey Phil great video... what are a few of your favourite finishing polishes you use regularly prior to ceramic coating applications?
Hi. Thanks. So for ceramic coating jobs we only use Dr Beasleys NSP primer polishes. They work the best in our opinion.
ua-cam.com/video/FuxGC0jU0Nw/v-deo.html
Leethium lol Great video and Kash definitely learned something today...definitely have to try Max Shine All in One
Well put my friend. Awesome video and content good friend.
Great job explaining you don't always have to do paint correction to get great results. Who makes the "cookie monster" towels?
Thanks! bit.ly/3Amo1Hr
Good man!
Thanks so much for the support! 😎👍🏼
@@MirandaDetailing absolutely! From one detailer to another!
Thanks! 😎👍🏼
Amazing, great job guys👏👏👌
@@MirandaDetailing you are correct there..great pricing goes a long way..
Meguiars ultra polishing wax is great yellow, red foam meguiars, frank in Oswego, ill
Thanks for the great videos and knowledge, Phil. You and the wifey keep up the great work! When you are successful, you are always going to attract haters
I’m glad Phil is addressing these detail trolls.
Quick question will the yellow pad maxshine do well with the maxshine all in one?
Thanks. Yeah I have tried that before and does work really well. On softer black paint it may leave a little marring though, so you may have to use the orange pad
@@MirandaDetailing thanks! Last one. How many pads do you used to do an entire vehicle?
It depends on the vehicle and how bad the paint is usually about 4+ pads.
@@MirandaDetailing thanks man!
Looks great polish is there a equivalent we could use in uk ?
you guys are great
Yup. Exactly! 😎👍🏼
I have been using the original Griot's three-in-one the gray wax. With an Orange Lake Country CCS pad awesome results last about 5 to 6 months.
I paint cars..I been using 3D products. Until I came across CSI all n one polish good stuff
Sweet, Thanks for that Xtreme solution Gem, going to try it out. I work a lot in the sun and so far
I use Sonax but with a spritz of water to sort of keep it cool.
As far as “ priming “ the pad
I stop doing it as well
Waste of product if you ask me
3 dots like you did
Dap the pad on the panel and the pad will be somewhat primed
$300 for a exterior only on a SUV, for a all in one polish is a good price.
That’s my price for a average sedan.
Have you done anything to SPTA cordless ?
How long does it last before you switch battery?
I’m thinking of going cordless and based on Scott HD cordless review
I might be going with the Kobalt.
Lol
Nice video brother. Keep up the Amazing work
Thanks man! 😎👍🏼
Thanks so much!
Hey Phil, love the channel. Do you like uno protect better than uno advanced? Just wanted to get your thoughts. Keep up the strong work
Hi. We like the UNO Advanced way better. Much easier to work with and lasts longer.
Hi Phil I like how you explain how you do the job, every detailer has different ways and techniques. For that interior and exterior how long it will take to get the job done? Thanks
Hi. thanks. usually on average 4-5 hours with the two of us. but it depends on how good or bad the interior is.
