"The Bag speaks for itself" - priceless!!
I really like this video format, helps me expand my knowledge of music history. I'd like it if you did more videos like this!
The talk box IS really coo-uhl. Just found your channel and love it.
Liking the new look and great vid Sarah
Love the video and the hoody 😍😍 saw those guys in 2008 at the corporation night club in Sheffield England and they were amazing!!!!
This is a really cool mini documentary. I’m going to watch this a few times. Bullseye Sarah!
This is amazing Sarah!
This is a great video. Also, Dilinger Escape Plan is awesome.
Thanks for covering this. NOW is indeed a great time for synth guitars for sure. I just recently purchased a Roland GR700 with the GR707 guitar and its quite nice. I've always loved pad sounds behind the instrument.
You Rock Sarah! 🎤 🎸 🥁 🤘🏻 ❤️ 😁
Hi Sarah.Started your finger tapping course on Pickupmusic. Loving it👌👌👌
Great video Sarah! Really digging this format.
5 greatest moments in headless guitar history next?
This video was really coo-uhl-uh
Great vibe. Brava.
One great additional feature of the Roland GR systems was Hex Fuzz: a fuzz circuit for each string. It’s all over Nick Kershaw’s “Wouldn’t It Be Good?”, for example. Robert Fripp got some great synth out of the GR-300 e.g. “Sartori In Tangier”.
Love my GR55. Pipe organ, piano, harp, gregorian chanting, etc. Still feels like I've barely scratched the surface of its abilties even after a few years and a bunch of custom FX.
I grew up with 80's synth music. I love just about everything synth lol.
Love you. Love your music. But, most of all, I love your hoodie! Message ends. :D
The Talkbox is really cool, almost as cool as "Panasonic Youth" :-)
The talk box is really cool-uh
magnificently!
You're so underrated
Awesome vid,I have a talkbox for my bass (5 string) it's loads of fun!
how expensive are those? i'd love one for mine.
COO-UHL-UH
Hey that's Terje Rypdal! Cool :-)
great video thanks! But im surprised no mention of Peter Frampton's "Do you feel like we do" probably the most famous talk box song recorded.
I'm fairly new to your channel, so maybe you've already done this. But I'd be very interested in seeing walkthroughs of how you use different pedals, especially the three you mention towards the end (C4, Enzo, and Zoia).
awsome vid ;)
Really coo-uhl... uh!
Thanks Sarah, now I know why all of your solos on Collapse/Expand sound like keyboards
The first motion picture ever recorded was in 1888.
I think I wanna marry a synth pedal now
If digitech synth wah isn’t on this list I’m gonna pitch a big fit
This is really inspirational. Wish I had money 😅
Recommend the Digitech Talker if you're exploring talkboxes. It's what Daft Punk used on most their 'Human after all' album. It was meant for guitar but you can use a synth as a carrier wave to get those classic Daft Punk Robot & Vocoder sounds. Sounds so much better then whats out on the market for digital talkboxes.
I just found your channel because of the Pedal Movie greatest-5 playlist. It makes me really happy to see someone covering the synth-side of guitar! It doesn’t get enough attention.
FYI:“Timbre” is, weirdly, pronounced “tamber”
Dillinger
Talkbox!!!
A researched video. Hmm. Tasty.
John Abercrombie, Marc Johnson, Peter Erskine, look it up and enjoy
I got enzo, boss sy1000, zoia and c4 synth..... I totally having a problem now 😂
Сара, нет слов.
Frans in it too, ok so everyone on UA-cam in this thing.
Synth metal cool
The aliens have replaced Sarah with one of their own. I mean, did you see? She used her pinky on her guitar! Imposter! ;)
I'm a fellow guitar synth fan. Most underrated synth guitarist of all time:Amir Derakh of Orgy.
How many of these are suitable for the Nordic blastbeats? I once searched for a black-metal & cyberpunk fusion and found just one record....
I've blown all my savings on overdrive pedals like a total caveman. No, now is not the right time for a synth pedal, maybe next week.
if you're low on cash but own an iphone, there are interesting "synth pedal" apps too. roxsyn is basically a huge audio playground (although technically not exactly a synthesizer. but who cares, you can get fun, synth-like sounds out of it. arpeggiator, envelopes, all the fun stuff is there). on the other hand an app like midi guitar 2, as the name suggests, allows you to translate whatever you play on guitar into midi notes, opening up the entire world of iOS synthesizers...
@@KrumpusPlunk thanks
@@akrmfk but be aware that mobile fx are an absolute rabbit hole and you might not be able to justify buying hardware pedals any more ;) and regarding actual synth pedals, if you can solder a little bit you can buy solder kits with all the parts plus a pcb and a metal case for way cheaper than big brand pedals. I just built myself a "resonant filter" pedal for 30-40€ and not only was that really hard to even find in a pedal otherwise, it was also a lot of fun building it. I've seen solder kits for guitar synth pedals for similar prices too. alternatively, i feel like the combination of a chinese fuzz and envelope filter pedal from ebay, maybe 15-20€ each, might also give you some possibly gnarly but synth-like sounds...
Updated studio tour?
I saw a 7 year old comment of yours, nice video btw
We talk a lot about innovation but we're just repeating ourselves.
Let's just make noise ........ oh! What? That's already been done?
Nevermind, Let's just make noise!
Are you done with Patreon? Lol
Do you fee all, like I dooo.
Sarah, Stevie’s channel got hacked and deleted, we gotta help him, all of us
Your "scripted" voice is getting better, sounding more organic and genuine.
Thanks I've been trying haha.. a product of necessity. I'm much more comfortable on camera just making music without talking
Hi sarahhhh
Where's the Boss SYB-3, SYB-5, and SY-1? The only affordable synth pedals...
Ask yourself, how much of your output is controlled by software/hardware purchases, and how much is really you?
team cranberry juice
You can’t mention the GR500 without mentioning Hot Chocolate’s Every 1s A Winner - or the GR700 without mentioning You Can Call Me Al... Wish I could afford a GR500, but the prices just keep creeping ever further out of reach :(
Pfft... Not even a mention of Peter Frampton?
I actually had a clip of him I was going to put in! But I'm working 3 jobs atm and my brain is like max capacity so I literally just forgot lol
@@SarahLongfield 😘 hustle
Missy, if you know synths how is it you don't know that timbre is pronounced "tamber". Can you at least pronounce "Moog" correctly?
Way to go, ignore the message and patronise the messenger.
