So this video is nearly 5 years old so you've probably worked out how to do this long ago, but for anyone else who has the same equipment in this video, use the SuperVAG tool to obtain the pin code, then switch over to using VCDS, login with the pin code to the cluster, delete ALL keys from the cluster then re-adapt all the keys in one go. The keys are adapted to the cluster to allow an engine start. EDIT - saw the end of the video and that you used SuperVAG to turn the immobiliser off.. This wasn't necessary, though will allow the engine to start with any key. The key causing the immobiliser flashing is because the key isn't adapted to the cluster, but since you are immo off it starts anyway. The battery clip you mention at the end of the video is nothing to do with the car starting or the immo light flashing. If the key is coded correctly you can even split the key in half and have no circuit board or battery, just the key blade and immo chip and the car will start. The battery clip/circuit board are only related to the remote central locking and they are coded to module 46 Central Convenience using VCDS.
You are right. I would like to ask you ( if you have an experience with this device) if I need computer with VCDS when I want to adapt a new key or everithing can do with this device? I would like to adapt new key so I thought that just click "key learning" > "2 keys" then turn on both keys and it is done. Do I am wrong? Is this device enough for programming new key or not? I have just one original key .
The flashing key indicated that you were supposed to insert the second key after the first one so that it could code it. But you interrupted it. The remote open close is done wrong here. Using original, in ignition (on) put new key in door lock and turn to lock and hold for 10 secs plus until beep is heard, then press new button (open). Remote will work.
dont know if you know , now. But when progamming new keys to VW you have to program all the keys you need to the car at the same cyklus ...... all other keys included the original key will trick the imo ....... just as you know
Realize this isn't a super popular video - but just so anyone reading this is clear: When you start a key-programming session ALL keys will have to be programmed (again). So if you originally had one key and want to add another (but keep both keys working) the old and the new key will BOTH have to be programmed.
Could this program a cluster to the ecu? i have a mk4 golf that needs to have the cluster programmed to the ecu and volkswagen is saying it isnt possible, even tho it is. if you could help me with it

yes u can! i bought some old keys from ebay and just programmed to my fabia. from my understanding the imobilizer learns transponder. anyway in vcds u can test if a transponder can be accepted by the immo

If you could provide step-by-step instructions on how to obtain the key programming PIN code using the SuperVAG tool it would be much appreciated.

Would that work for an 03 Jetta. I'm not able to get my transponder key programmed for some reason. I had a locksmith try and still luck.
