    I bought a used one for 200 bucks, and the previous owner decked it out. It's got some EMG pickups (I don't know the specifics) and some arrow type designs on the frets. It's an excellent guitar for clean, classical style soloing and metal riffage.

    I have one (see through black flame maple) that I stripped the truss rod nut. Can't find one to fit it. The he fret work on mine was okay but needed some filing on the edges. The 12th fret inlay was not level, it sticks out at the bottom edge. But it plays nicely when operational. I purchased a LTD EC256 Dark Brown Flame Maple that is awesome. Getting a LTD M-200 Black shortly to replace the M100.

    The M103FM has the same specs, but it has HSS pickup layout, (Humbucker, Single, Single), instead of HH (Humbucker, Humbucker) like the M100FM. The M103FM also has a maple fretboard instead of rosewood on the M100FM.

    I have one of these, good guitar for the money except the pickups are muddy and unclean as you wouldn't believe. The neck is fast and you can get the action fairly low without much fret buzz. I replaced my stock LH-150 pickups with Dimarzio D Activator 219 and 220's. Now it sounds a ton better.

    Which is better this guitar or the Jackson js32 series(rhoads specially)?

    • @GuitarMAXMusic
      @GuitarMAXMusic  6 років тому

      Hard to say. The rhoads is a totally different body shape, and I've found that they don't balance very well. Lots of nice dive. But all the JS32's have very nice necks and frets. Between the two, I think this one is better, but only a little. Might just come down to personal style for you. They're both good guitars.

    I have the exact same guitar, the problem is that I cannot find a tremolo arm anywhere. I'm thinking about ordering one online, but I was worried that because it was a Floyd Rose Special, the other Floyd Rose aems wouldn't fit. Are the arms universal?

    ok, so i ordered one of these ltd m-100's and it is on it's way. have you experimented with any other pups that sound good in this particular guitar? I play mostly heavy stuff and am looking for a nice smooth heavy distortion without the piercing highs and booming bass. something well rounded with a good bell mid tone and an overall balanced sound. I am so particular with sound, but am not as well versed in pickup models as i should be for the years i have been playing. I am thinking either a seymour duncan model or one of the dimarzios (bridge only at this point) and nothing active. any help would be appreciated. thanks bud.

    • @scottn3134
      @scottn3134 8 років тому

      +Ron Mielcarek This is funny. After putting in the pickups etc., I decided I prefer a bigger neck. The LTD is for sale with the Dimarzios in it. I ended up spending more and bought a Schecter C1 FR 6.

      Yeah I got that guitar and didn't like it one bit, and sent it back 2 days later in favor of a Jackson dinky (that I really like). Hard to beat the speed neck on a Jackson, and I will probably be a Jackson customer for life. Just fantastic playability.

And im an intermadiate player. hope that you will be uplaoding some good lessons i checked some of your videos on scales you uploaded those were helpfull . keep on rocking \m/

    • @GuitarMAXMusic
      @GuitarMAXMusic  6 років тому +3

      I think they would both be very good choices. It really comes down to looks and preference. One thing to consider, the Razorback won't balance as well, because of the body shape and it's less convenient to carry around. Those might be small details though. I think either one would be a good guitar for you.
