but how about getting audio from a wired headset to your controller mine doesnt seem to want to show it connected while remote. works fine downstairs when connected to ps5 normally, any help?

For anyone else using an older Chromecast. Not the OG Chromecast but just an older. I mean I have both the older and the OG. Anywho you'll probably end up here eventually because the trailer doesn't explain that to you. So I'm laying here in bed trying to wonder how in the world do I use Google TV app and the remote Play app together? It made absolutely no sense. I mean there wasn't even an icon for Chromecast on the remote play. Now it makes sense. Which also this video should explain that part too because I was confused as to what you were doing. Until I kind of like put it together that I guess somehow your accessing Google TV app through your Chromecast on your TV... But I got it I understand. So it won't work for me because I have old Chromecasts :'(
This idea randomly popped into my head today since my PS5 lives in my office upstairs, but I’d love to be able to play FC24/25 etc downstairs sometimes. Might be a silly question, but I’m assuming the PS5 upstairs wakes up when you do this, powers up etc. And then you can power it off via the remote downstairs like you would normally yeah?
Hi there. Not a silly question. It wakes it up but it doesn’t turn on per se. So it won’t appear on your tv, just as though your ps5 is sat on but your tv won’t be on. Hope that makes sense. Yes you can power off via remote play.
@@MainCave amazing thanks for the speedy reply 😊! Think I’m gonna grab a 4k Chromecast whilst they are all seemingly cheaper than the regular HD ones at the moment (£29.99). Guessing full fibre 1GB internet should more than suffice for what I’m wanting to do (standard UK new build home so router and tv downstairs and the PS5 and office upstairs with a decent mesh system). Sorry for all the questions 😅!
Hi there. I have found the least amount o f devices that are actually on the connection at the same time is a factor although could just be coincidence. If I have it connected directly to my router it ok. But if I plug a WiFi repeater into the same router and connect my tv to it using a separate SSID, it gets much better. HTH
Yeah, but that's all it is - streaming. Its not optimal for anything but chill and story based games, and god forbid you have slow internet, cause all you'll be seeing is glitches
Yup. It’s streams your console to the TV. That added it to the lineup of phone, tablet and portal yesterday. The portal, by the way, pretty much feels native on my modest internet.
I'm thinking of doing this as I only have one PS5 but two TVs. If I turn on the dualsense controller, will it not automatically connect to the PS5 instead of the chromecast? The two tvs will be 10 feet away from each other
Hi there. I’m sorry, I’m not sure what the question is. But I’m going to guess. You need a PS4 or PS5 and it needs to be in sleep mode or on, it can’t be fully turned off.

Hi there. You’ll either need 2 dualsenses (it wakes up and connects to only one), or connect your Dualsense to the device you want to use each time.
So ps5 or ps4 is needed to in turn on condition?

Any tips if the internet speed is slow on the chrome cast?
Maybe worth trying to get it on its own SSID using a range extender in access point mode. Ge that this may not be possible, but it helps me.
