That was soooo SICK, Andrew! The song is pure fun and you really showed off the full potential of Orbits stereo capabilities!! I'm so glad you found my work and took it to the moon!
Thanks for making such a cool beautiful thing 💖 The possibilities with the pickups turned out even better than I hoped!
@@andrewhuangyou got more out of it than anything I’ve heard so far - still blown away!
JA MAN WIE FETT :D
@@versoinstrumentsis there an extended version? felt like the spacey section wants to go twice as long, then revisit the upbeat theme, or the spacey section could be I really good bridge to transition to something else prog song
Makes me so happy to see your work shouted out here! Keep killin it dude!
If I remember right, the final course for his engineering degree in Germany involved completely redesigning something from scratch. It could be anything, and he played guitar and decided to redesign the guitar, and decided to do metal for the body, and while he was putting the design together, he put the pickups over the body where he thought they would go, and then realized that they stuck, and that's why the magnetic pickups are not permanently stuck to the body
Thanks for the wrapup! We don’t have to re design something from scratch, you just follow an idea and see where it gets you - but you’re right that pickup attachment just happened along the way! I started with a roof batten guitar just to show myself a body isn’t needed to make a good sounding guitar. That proofed, so I fooled around with textile materials for an ergonomic body and that led me to the sheetmetal shape ( wich almost looks like a textile we
draped over a neck wich I liked a lot). The pickup attachment came as a byproduct of the sheetmetal and quickly became the main feature :)
Sounds a bit random but sometimes things are just like that haha! And the development to the point of what you see here took me years (even after my degree in industrial design)
@@versoinstruments that you studied industrial design makes so much sense now jaja I'm 21 and I decided to study that career next year :)
That synisthisa chorus pedal was HEAVENLY
It was my favorite in the shootout. Which is funny because it’s a not-very-focused multi effect, and it was up against one that’s analog and one that’s from Universal Audio who have some of the best DSP in the world
@@andrewhuang Transit seems like a good idea for a guitar pedal randomizer to help build a whole beat around pretty cool
@@andrewhuangSonic Boom idea: make a song using all of Andrew’s effects pedals at least once.
Alternatively, pick like four or five at random and make a song using them together
@@ianbyrne465 Genius
@@ianbyrne465 yes please
Yes, if you have headphones, the audio is amazingly pleasing
I love this format, you just improvising a song on the spot
This one turned out super funky, really cool
Yeah- he should try doing it 10 times over, for 12 hours, every year, with a buddy /j
@@jamesoniris2647Maybe with a tongue in cheek band name... Something like.... 1st of October.
It sounds like George Duke
Anything Andrew and Marty together is absolute gold! Need more collabs between you two for sure 😍
Heck yeah, I'll workshop my dance moves
you do that mister@@itspusherdon't you know, you do have a bit odd image in this film, you look like a bug, And I believe you could look quite normal or even a handsome music star with a bit of care applied, I reckon. And don't you know, you don't appear duchy like the other guy. If you're interested I'd have you in my cyber disco jazz acid blues punk rock band as a singer/guitarist. Le's get rich, take over the world and have fun doing it.
My favorite design philosophy is making something super specifically for yourself because when it has a wider appeal you get something special. This seems very much something designed for Andrew Huang but also something that is just a cool product that lots of people could use.
13:34 is absolutely magic. That pitch dive with the delay was the most musical one I've ever heard.
Man that got funky. Probably had something to do with that Pink Space Guitar
So much control in this sonic freedom. Andrew is getting more open-minded wig every day. Thank you a lot for your creativity and your creations. You are making this world better
A guitar that comes with its own E-bow. Marvellous.
Well not exactly.. An ebow vibrates the string fir you
@@dtrmnts I know, I was just being silly.
this song absolutely needs a streaming service release omgomgomg
I probably should eh? Would want to develop it more though I think!
@@andrewhuang yesyesyes ! you n pusher always have great stuff when you work together :>
This could just be a full 20 minutes of riffs and dancing, no words, at some point Rob just shows up out of nowhere in the background in a funny hat, etc
The second half of that song is so luscious I love it
A) Love Pusher’s music! B) Love his high-five attempt. Guess the magic just wasn’t there. C) Love the guitar! Catching occasional views of the electronics from the bottom or sides is super fun.
Maybe if I click my crocs together I can find some magic
Andrew and Marty out here reviving psychedelic rock. I LOVE it.
Psych rock has been making a comeback lately. Mcbaise, unknown mortal orchestra, tame impala, khruangbin, Toro y moi even!
@@itspusherdon’t forget King Gizzard!
@@itspusherTemples!
I remember seeing this on Insta a few month back, and I thought it was the wildest guitar I’ve ever seen, time to save up for one cause this is so fun.
Super simple lyrics, great vibing song, could definitely listen to this on repeat pretty easily. Love this content!
Your message you put out Andrew is so awesome. Creativity, passion, possibilities, optimistic, just all around go vibes. The last couple of videos that have been released have this aura, and I can't get enough of it. Keep doing you man, clearly if you're having fun, the viewers have fun watching.
I understand the want to have vocals in each project (especially with First of October,) but sometimes instrumental parts are stand out, and really add something to the mix (or to an album.)
The spacey groovy instrumental end to this was phenomenal! I was waiting for you to keep it simple and slow it down a bit, and you guys really delivered. Fantastic work!
Dude I love your content, thanks for always innovating bro! This is amazing!
This definitely went. I feel like I was partying on boat with Parliament and got knocked into the ocean after someone spiked my drink. This is some good room music for everything. I'm so glad you're making stuff that doesn't need me to feel like I'm in need of saving a screaming baby every chorus.
Absolutely amazing! Im blown away both by the amazing effect of this stereo guitar and the track you wrote. You nailed the vibe SO HARD.
So good!
I enjoy so much this video, really good one. The flow in the studio was marvelous and the result was unexpected and top notch.
NEED THIS SONG RELEASED ASAP!!! ITS SO GOOD
Pusher's reactions and grooving is exactly how I was feeling lol. Very interesting guitar, especially with the split cable mod. Repositioning the pick up features is sic and innovative. Another banger song/video Andrew 🤘
I try to keep it real. The stereo pickup thing surprised us both it was really unexpected and cool
11:21 The pickup control in stereo is really cool!
I’d love to try this with MOOD MKII because the stereo field/panning is so good on its own and this would further enhance that effect!
Marty dancing to the groove is just awesome!
Dancing is tight
@D.M_me__Mr_ANDREW_HUANG. - problem is... you're not the real Andrew Huang
Marty jamming to the track the entire time Andrew records is most definitely a vibe lol.
It's more fun to have fun than to not have fun
my mind is blown. like I wasn’t totally sold on the value of moving the pickups at first, it felt more gimmicky than useful, but when you split high and low strings between left and right with different fx chains on each it was unbelievable. it feels like being able to record two completely separate guitar parts at once. and imagining the interplay in mixes with something like a more complicated lead melody trading off as if two people are playing, it’s just so creatively inspiring.
(also the section at 18:30 reminds me a lot of Crumb, absolutely love it)
Andrew this is some of my favorite music you’ve ever made. Absolutely beautiful!
Rob really needs to get his hands on this guitar, like the moving pickup stuff so reminds me of the way you guys used the submarine pickup on one of your 1sy of October videos
This is by far my favorite music you have made! So good. It's funky, psychedelic, classic and futuristic simultaneously
Yooo the atmosphere and space on this song is insane! it really makes you feel like you're floating through a Synthwave in space and its freaking awesome! keep up the awesome work Andrew and Marty!!!
🫡
Been following Verso guitars for a while. Great to see one on your channel!
I love these 'fly on the wall' videos just taking us through your process. So fun! Always feel inspired to go create afterwards.
That second section is so lush 🔥
i love C standard. it makes playing with a piano or transcribing between the 2 so much easier.
18:31 that outro gives me total Crumb vibes and I love it.
Was not expecting jazz fusion from my Andrew huang video today but I’m super impressed with the outcome!
This was actually insane. Love the really chill part with the spacey effects. The whole vibe of the song was great!
That song went hard at the end and it was awesome, loved the Great Gig in the Sky nod as well. Such a beautiful song, killed it as always man
Ever since I’ve seen this guitar released I’ve been DYING to hear how it sounds. It’d be awesome if you could try out the bass too!!
That synth tone is giving me major Risk of Rain 2 vibes! Sick track
Gotta say the fit is fire 🔥 Beautiful color coordination with the guitar
Movable pickup is insane, I love it
I can't like this song enough. The way the sounds just flow and float together like swimming through space. This takes me back to the first time I ever heard the Daft Punk Discovery album. The vibes from this are just so funky and galactic. Thanks for always picking up and looking out for the sounds and music that just exist and are yet to be discovered.
bro I used to watch you all the time when i was 7, I'm 15 now. It's crazy but I'm glad you're still uploading!
This spacy synthy funky sound is so delicious! If you have the capacity, please make more music in this genre.
inspiring as always! THAT TRANSITION INTO THE OUTRO THO 💥👏👏
what a unique guitar. Cool stuff
That stereo output feature is super awesome! Now I need to rewatch with headphones!!
Super nice! And so hyped for Verso! Have been drooling over their guitars and pickups for years 🌸
❤🙌 thanks man :)
Very cool to see this guitar in the wild. I’ve been following these mad lads on IG for a while. Good stuff!
Wow!😮
I just instantly grasped a ton of “basic” info on the mechanics of an electric guitar, pickups as well as polarity and the ways they work,
as well as a couple cool ideas this company could implement! Like a “magnetic whammy bar” or ping pong type delays and add ons etc…!?
I definitely can see some really cool benefits to a adding a guitar like this to my collection! (ideas and inspiration for days!) You sold me on this Andrew! Thanks for sharing! ❤
Woow what a result, great combo aswell
Dooooood!!!!! We need a full project with multiple songs with this guitar. Wow. Simply, wow.
This format is so much fun to watch!!!
Andrew. You inspire me to jump on my computer and make some tunes every time I watch your videos. Thank you. Keep going.
The drum line at 5:21 - 5:30 reminds of the drum line used by Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Full Force
for their song "I Wonder If I Take You Home".
It also reminds me of the drum line used for Gregory Abbott's "Shake You Down"
I want that guitar!!!! Love how experimental you are with instruments Andrew!
Love the close up shot of the yellow Crocs, definitely conveyed the essence!
This was such a fun video to watch, what an incredibly cool guitar concept!! Love the movable pickups, new bucket list item for me.
Also, fantastic song!! Loved its energy and the soundscape
This guitars sounds so good because of the tone wood
This was so much fun to watch! Like always!
its so aesthetically pleasing to my ears
Whenever I try one of the little tricks Andrew mentions in his videos I always end up coming up with the most beautiful little parts.
Speaks to how good a musician he is that even his tiniest little piece of advice is enough to lift someone else's production or composition to new levels.
That guitar is incredible
Your engineer dancing to everything you did is the only energy I want in my life.
I was listening with one earbud in while cleaning around the house. Threw in the other when they started getting into the different pickup configurations. So glad I did. WHOA. 😮
Amazing guitar concept!! I love it.
Nice dude! I’ve been spending so much energy practicing guitar and this reminded me to go back to my producer roots and have some fun with what I’ve been learning
16:35 Sounds like a blend of Flaming Lips and Stereolab. Or AIR. Then it drops into Jamie Lidell/STS9 territory. Great stuff! Btw I already got Transit before I watched this since I love anything with Andrew’s name on it. I get so many song starter ideas from your videos that it takes me forever to watch because I keep pausing and writing down ideas. You guys are awesome!
I cracked up every time the camera panned to the crocs
Pusher seems like a great guy but it’s crazy seeing the musical chemistry between Andrew and Rob compared to with anyone else. Really found absolute gold when you two met 😅
That design is the definition of Elegance
These sounds are so amazing
I saw these featured in a premier guitar video, and was so intrigued, I wanted more. This. Is. Awesome.
I'm like half-way through the vid, just switched from speaker to earbuds and man that made a world of difference it sounds so damn cool this is so something I'd listen to in my free time it's very reminiscent of Mcbaise, one of my favorite bands
Incredible track and really great way to show off that sweet guitar.
This super groovy and dreamy, very Crumb or Puma Blue reminiscent, looooved the vibe !
Instantly went to my G2 to make the sound the guitar make at the beginning of the video with the three mods thank you man for the awesome sound
all the sounds are just awesome!
That kit sounds so tight
Loving seeing Pusher in more of your stuff. Loved the first video you did together with the apollo twin and the Dweezil Zappa guitar.
Mango!
I love how you can move the pickups around!
I love the shape of this guitar!!
Dude you sound great. Your style is getting seriously good.
This reminds me so much of your first video together in the best way possible :D
The flexible pickups create so many interesting atmosphere possibilities. So sick.
i'd love to see you and rob use this in an episode of Sonic Boom showcasing some of your most unique instruments
The vibe section of this track is so nice.
i love that pickup concept!
8:17 instantly brought back TV and video games vibes. You’ve still got it. I can’t describe how happy these kinda videos make me.
I havent paid a lot of attention to your channel in recent times, but when i saw this videos thumbnail i felt there was something special i needed to see. I wasnt wrong. Sick content. Wish i could have my own.
I love it Andrew, thank you for being so amazing!
Thats so rad and the moveable pickups are so cool, would love to have a guitar like that.
wow that was a journey that was really really fun to watch!
that guitar with those rearrangeable pics was really fun!
the panned stereo technique on that guitar sound reminds me as a pianist how you hear the lower notes on the left and the higher notes on the right side of the piano. Cool stuff!
Love your vids andrew!!
I only started learning how to play guitar about a little over a month ago & I'm documenting my entire journey on here so watching this was super interesting to watch!
