I made these DIY modular shelves

It was my first time making something like this. How did I do? Any tips? I've learned a lot in the process, mostly that I never want to sand by hand again. I started this project months ago and have been working on it bit by bit. It's still not totally finished but I'm happy with it for now.
I'm always changing around my decor so I love that these shelves are modular. I can even make more to add on in the future if I want to. When you look closely you can see that it is made of pine but it blends in well with the mid-century cabinet.

Thank you so much!! It wasn't too difficult with the right tools, but ended up being very time consuming! Oh thanks the cat blanket is from vinted so not sure where it was from originally. I just stapled it to a wood batten and hung it on the wall 😊

Hello! This looks amazing and I’m inspired to make some shelves for myself! I was just wondering, because the wood bars are kinda thin, did you find that it was enough to support heavier shelves? I’m thinking of shelves filled entirely with books. Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply. Yes they are a bit thin so I found that I had to do plenty of fixings into the wall. It would probably work better with thicker pieces! I'm glad you found it helpful for ideas ☺️
