Wow!
this is such a good idea!! I've been looking for inspiration for shelving and this has really helped
Thank you! ❤️
Hello! This looks amazing and I’m inspired to make some shelves for myself! I was just wondering, because the wood bars are kinda thin, did you find that it was enough to support heavier shelves? I’m thinking of shelves filled entirely with books. Thank you!
Sorry for the late reply. Yes they are a bit thin so I found that I had to do plenty of fixings into the wall. It would probably work better with thicker pieces! I'm glad you found it helpful for ideas ☺️
This is so awesome!
Thank you! ❤️
Sims makes us all believe we are an architect 😂❤
It's so good at that! 😂
Woooah i hope this goes viral because this is too cool! What a cute idea 🤗
Aww thank you 🥰
This is amazing!! Self taught too. I’ve used the Sims to plan out apartments layouts multiple times 🤣 it’s really versatile
Glad it's not just me! 😂
😍🤩👏
I think it looks absolutely beautiful ! Well done you for taking on a project like this. What a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the sunshine ☀️
Thank you 🥰
This is so gorgeous 🎉
Thank you 🥰
No no. No. No. No. Do not put plastic in your planter. Fill it up with stuff like grass etc.
Plastic bottles are completely fine. They’re not going to break down and they actually mean it requires less water.
I would have filled them with garden materials if I had them but I only have a patio. Thin wooden planters like this aren't permanent and will break down long before the bottles can leach anything into the soil ❤️
@@UKsystemsstay out of it if you're going to give rubbish advice. Micro plastic, plastic leaking etc. Come on dude.
@@jojatownnot really a reason to do what you did. You had a tripod and camera, but not enough sense or time to bury plastic eith your soil. FYI - food safe plastic is fine. This type isn't.
@@jojatown scrap paper would be a better option next time or try and get some cheap rocks.
Good work mate
Thanks! 😊
Amazing! I've been looking at some vintage shelves like these but they're too big for my alcove, you've inspired me to make my own that fit the space ❤
I'm so glad you liked it! I wanted some vintage shelves too but couldn't find any to match. The stained pine wood turned out to be the next best thing for me. Good luck with your project 😊 I would love to hear how it goes!
omg i lovee this soo much! i wish i had the skills and equipment to do it myself but being able to watch you do it is so fulfilling as well! i also wanted to ask where you got your cat tapestry in the background?? its so cute and cozy lookin!
Thank you so much!! It wasn't too difficult with the right tools, but ended up being very time consuming! Oh thanks the cat blanket is from vinted so not sure where it was from originally. I just stapled it to a wood batten and hung it on the wall 😊
Looks amazing! I would love to make my own one day. Thank you for a great video. I’m inspired!
Thank you so much 😊 I'd love to see it if you do! It took a while to do, especially as I was sanding by hand, but it was so worth it in the end. I love that I can always go back and make it bigger or add more shelves in future if I want to
MAGNIFIQUE 🔆 🔆 🔆 SUPER 👌🏼 👌🏼 👌🏼 ❤❤❤, 🇫🇷 MERKI MERKI MERKI 😂😂
Fantastic 😀🤍
Can you teach us how you didn’t get any paint on green carpet 😁
Amazing job.
it came out amazing! what type of wood did you use for the shelves?
Thank you!! It's just pine boards from the local hardware store 😊
Cool 🤓🤓🤓
Beautiful job ! Inspiring.
Thank you so much!!
great solution!
Thank you! 😊
Woah!! I would love to make some of these!!
Thank you!! If you do I'd love to see how they come out 😊
This transformation was everything. That space lools completely different. Enjoy
Thank you so much 😊
I love this. Simple amd clean. You guys did 👍🏾
Thank you 😊 Glad you liked it!
One word “AWESOME “ Enjoy forever the beautiful bond the both of you have for eternity
That's so sweet, thank you!!
I think from normal head height it's pretty well hidden!!
Thank you 😊 yeah that's true I've got high ceilings too so I think you'd have to know it there to notice
You are wearing crocks, health and safety first lol
🤭
Could’ve made the edges a bit sharper, but its pretty unnoticeable especially from afar. Careful about putting it anywhere were you can expect water though. I would avoid using it around here because theres lots of floods. Overall it definitely is nice though
Yeah it's definitely not perfect but passable I think. I could probably do better if I had more practice!
@@jojatown Honestly, I think its really good considering you had literally no practice with it
Thank you 😊
Made a neat job of it, not sure that tinfoil behind is good idea, probably a wood block would be better
Thanks 😊 I used tin foil as a cheap alternative and to leave an air gap for the clay to dry faster but agreed I think wood would be more professional!
Could you share a link to the cabinet you used and the dimensions? Thanks! Trying to find it on Ikea's website.
Sure! I've added links in the description 😊 a tip if you're going to use it for seating - make sure to add one panel of wood across the whole top so that the weight is distributed onto the vertical sides!
That's just beautiful!
Thank you very much!
Hi there! This was a lovely video, I really enjoyed it! I just wanted to add - I wouldn't really add plastic containers to the bottom of the planter, especially if you are growing edible food because chemicals can leach into the soil and contanimate! Instead any old logs, plant clippings, even grass from moving the lawn will work and this is better because it will decompose and provide further nutrients. 😀
Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you liked it 😊 I totally get that it's not for everyone. For me there were few disadvantages for using plastic as the thin wood planter itself would break down long before the plastic does. You just have to be mindful of the type of plastic you use - food grade is the best kind and doesn't leech any chemicals into the soil. It came down to convenience as I don't have any branches or logs to use. I have heard that when wood breaks down it makes the soil more acidic and uses up nitrogen but I don't think it would make a significant difference and I would definitely use wood if that's what I had around. I get why it's not for everyone though as it's not a natural material ❤️
@@jojatown Thanks for your reply, yes that's exactly what I was thinking, I wrote the comment just incase you didn't know :)! excited for more videos!
Thanks! I'm glad you like them, this feedback makes me excited to keep going and make more 😊
@@jojatown You're very welcome! :) I'll stay tuned!

Good job! You guys did awesome. The only thing I cringed on was putting the plastic in you planter box. It can break down I. The long run and leach chemicals into your plant.
Thanks for the feedback I'm glad you liked it 😊 Also thanks for bringing this potential issue. When selecting materials, I tried to look into options that would be safe for the plants and fit my budget. Most of the the plastic I used is food-grade, which is considered inert and non-toxic. Studies University of Wisconsin-Madison and Rutgers University have found low risk of chemical leaching from this type of plastic into soil when used in raised beds or greenhouses. However, I did hastily add a couple other containers without checking what type of plastic they were made of. In the future, I will be more mindful about only adding containers I know are food-grade. Also, the wooden walls of the planter would likely decay and need replacing long before there would be a risk of chemical leaching from the plastic. This would be different if they were permanent beds. For now, I feel comfortable using food grade plastic in a responsible way, but I totally respect that this isn't for everyone and it's good to be cautious about how we grow our food. I'm always open to learning more so thank you for bringing up this important point 🙂
@@jojatown Why not use wood there? From branches or trees that you cut.
@@WeissklangiI didn't have any as I only have a little patio but I would definitely do this in future 😊
Amazing transformation. Love the vibe and design. ❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
I've heard many experienced gardeners say, fill up the entire container w SOIL, not plastic, not trash. Organic, in an aerobic environment. Sharply cut gravel is fine for drainage. Rock is a common part of nat'l land. But, not 2-ltr plastic bottles. The ratio of plants:soil s/b sensible. Not a whole bunch of soil for 1 bitty plant, in other words. Follow gardening instructions from real, proven growers, nurseries, gardeners. Not You Tube-only-qualified.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate your passion for the subject
FABULOUS!
Thanks 😊
Very cute
Thank you! 😊
Muiti bom querida❤
Muito Obrigado!
Nice light ❤
Thanks!!
Soooo nice!
Thanks!!
You all did a great job! I liked the planter concept where you upcycled so nothing went to waste. And I like the flooring you did. It looks lovely. (I may have to borrow your ideas. Seems easier than stenciling.) Suggestion: Maybe add a sofa or comfy chairs so you can lounge outdoors. Overall, well done!
Thank you I'm glad you liked it 😊 some comfy seating is a great idea!

We have had this bench ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg for five years now and it is still holding up strong with minimal signs of wear! So much so that I decided to get another one to store other stuff. The first one is still beautiful, strong and is easy to clean. It’s been in our living room and we store toys and blankets in it and it really holds quite a bit of stuff. I purchased a similar one two years ago from Aldi and let me tell you that one fell apart in less than six months of use. Get this one if you’re looking. Seriously worth it. Five years already and I can’t believe it looks this good and has held up for the price! Awesome bench, the new one I just got is identical.
That’s so cool! Do you find its strong enough to support body weight? How to feel about the doors dropping to the ground? I’d probably add a chain or upgrade the hardware to stop before hitting the floor. Good job overall!
I had no idea there was text to read until I accidentally clicked on the closed captions icon. So much info is missed without that because it just looks like you doing stuff with music.
Oh no I thought I had set it to automatically come on. Thank you so much for letting me know!
