Overwatch 2 basically changed nothing. Most of that time spent was porting over to a completely new engine, which ended up being buggier than the OW1 engine, while scrapping tons of features. Classic fucking blizzard man.
3:05 In Valorant you get two free chracters at the start. In Apex you can grind a lot during one season and not play for a like two or three season. Then when you start to play agien if you hade enough currency you could immediately buy the new character. This Overwatch 2 this is not the case.

There is one main difference between locking heroes in OW compared to Apex or Valorant. That is, in OW, the gameplay and balancing are centered around the heroes, whereas in Apex and Valorant, the game is balanced mainly around the weapons which anyone, regardless of the character they're playing, can pick up. The characters in Apex and Valorant are primarily there to suit different playstyles of the people playing those games and maybe give a slight advantage in a teamfight. Locking heroes behind a battlepass is not only risking completely breaking the balancing by locking a meta character behind the battlepass and having people either pay to win or have to suffer through grinding all the way to tier - fuck if I know. It also utterly kills the concept of good team compositions and counterpicking if everyone on the team hasn't unlocked the full hero roster. Blizzard can go eat dogshit for all I care now. Unless they bring back OW1, and make good balancing decisions from here on out.
Ive never understood the bad reviews, personally my favourite game, all heroes are unlockable to some point, it will just take a bit and allow you to experience other characters. While the PvE might not be the greatest, it is still there. I feel Blizzard will do the right things very soon, listning to the community, its already happened as people were noticing how small the support section was, and 3/6 new characters are now support (Kiri, Weaver, Illara). They are and will listen to tge community, i hope they will do the right thing cause i do love this game

theyll listen if they make more money, except even then, no they wont, theyll keep trying to trick you into spending money, new heroes are on the pass because they only become available to unlock AFTER the season is over and its quite the grind, the front of the shop is loaded only with bundles, the nearly clean carcass of pve was released with bundles and big incentive to purchase them, the pve missions arent even free, theyll never do the right thing because the CEOs and leaders dont care, profit first, backlash never

Fun Fact: Overwatch 2 is currently Steam's lowest rated game.
Just checked the game now and it has just under 120k negative reviews right now, I wonder if it'll hit 200k by the end of the month xD
