  • Hello everyone! Thank you for watching my video tour. I am a seasoned traveller, I love visiting new places and finding great deals.
    A few months ago when we were looking for an all inclusive vacation in Mexico, I found that there are not a lot of video tours on UA-cam. Well, there are lots but not as detailed as I like them to be😃.
    I like doing my “homework” before I book a trip, so reviews and video tours are high on my list.
    I want to provide you as much info as possible and give you a thorough tour of the resort/trip.
    Ask questions and feel free to add comments.
    Hope you find it helpful!

    Thanks for posting. I'm looking at visiting this resort and hoping to get some feedback on Riu Vallarta 🙂
    I never been to Puerto Vallarta (had been to Mayan Riveria side a few times) and wanted to know the following:
    -How's was the food for la carte and buffet?
    -Can you book in advance for a la carte or go in line up the same day?
    -How's the comfort of the beds and cleaniness of the bedrooms and resort?
    -How was the daytime activities such as beach volleyball, zumba, etc?
    -How was the nightly entertainment?
    -Any salsa dancing?
    -How was the beachfront? Any seaweed right now?
    -Any nearby places to visit for cultural explorations?
    Thank you in advance.

      Hello Cindy.
      I have been to many Mexican vacation spots in the past 25 years and PV is definitely one of my favourite destinations to go to. I love the feel/vibe of the city and surrounding area. I have never felt unsafe.
      I will try to answer all your questions; the main buffet is decent, good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really liked the Asian buffet option for dinner too. Probably more than the regular buffet.
      A la carte: we dined at the Italian restaurant a couple of times and we really enjoyed it. The salmon was our favourite. Steakhouse was very popular too, we had other family members dined there and they loved it. We did not try the Mexican at this hotel. You have to line up in the evening, there is no advanced booking. I was annoyed by this first but it didn’t take long to get in. You get a disc which vibrates when the table is ready. So you can have a drink or go for a walk etc while waiting.
      - Beds were very comfortable and rooms are newly renovated and clean. Overall the resort is kept tidy and clean.
      - daytime activities: my daughters played beach volleyball every day. Both on the beach and in the pool. They have other fun pool activities during the day as well. Boogie boards and kayaks are free to take out. I think there is always things to do. We all had fun.
      - excursions: we haven’t been on one for years so can’t really give you an up to date answer here. I would recommend going into downtown PV and explore there. The Malecon is great with lots of cool restaurants, old town, authentic churches and buildings etc. we heard that the Pirate ship excursions are fun, especially the one that goes to an Island where they have entertainment and dinner set up. If you like walking, walk into Bucerias on the beach. It’s a bit of a distance but relaxing and good exercise too:)
      - beachfront is good. No seaweed. There are more palm trees and shaded areas by the Riu Jalisco. Easy 3 minutes walk to get there.
      I hope you will have a great time if you end up booking here! 🌴

      Hi Eva,
      Thank you so much for the information and for answering my questions. This definitely sounds like a resort that my family and I can enjoy. I'm looking forward to visiting PV.

    Hi Eva, thanks for the Video Review. I have been in the Riu Jalisco close there already twice so i wanted to go end of the Year to Vallarta or the Palace. May i ask how the Restaurants are? In Riu Jalisco most of them for example the Asian Restaurant has a bufet and the other speciality restaurants have Carts to Order from. Greetings from Germany. Have a wonderful Day!

      Hello DarkRelic from Germany! The restaurants at the Vallarta are very similar to the ones at the Jalisco but a bit better quality food and better selection. A la carte restaurant are the same themes, Italian, Mexican, Steakhouse. The big buffet and the Asian buffet at the Vallarta has a better selection and in my opinion, a bit higher quality food. I haven’t stayed at the Palace yet, but I have seen a few video tours of it. It is a nice place and definitely more private and higher class. Although I keep hearing that it is a quiet place, not a lot of nightlife/partying. We are planning to book the Vallarta next time again. I love the rooms there and the pools as well. Also super close to the Jalisco so if I need a change of scenery, it’s an easy walk:)
      If I find a great deal at the Palace, of course I would book there too. Would love to check it out and compare the three Rius- price for value. Sounds like you liked your stays at the Jalisco if you have been twice already so I have no doubt you will love the Vallarta and Palace too. No matter which one you will choose.

    Hello, what are the difference between the 3 pools?

    • @evah8826
      @evah8826  11 місяців тому +1

      Hi there. The pool with the swim up bar is adults only. Has a pretty nice view of the ocean and it gets very busy in the late afternoon. The other two pools are family pools, and both equally nice. The one closer to the kids area is busier with families/kids, while the other one seems a bit more quiet and more adults than kids tend to be around that one.

    Hi! Are the drinks in the room fridge free with the all inclusive? Or do you have to pay for them separately?
    Thank you :)

      Hi Jennifer,
      They are free! Pop, beer, water and the alcohol (rum, tequila, vodka) in the room - all included.

    I will be on the carnival panorama in June and considering this hotel for a day pass. I have 3 kids ages 6, 4, and 2. Do you think this hotel would be appropriate or are only adults allowed at the pool? Thank you

    • @evah8826
      @evah8826  Рік тому +1

      Hello Liz, there are 4 pools at the resort and only one of them is adults only (the one that oversees the ocean and has the swim up bar). The other pools are kid friendly and there were lots of families with kids when we were there. There is a kids play area with a shallow pool as well for little kids. It is a very nice hotel, I would recommend for a day pass while on a cruise. It is about 25 minute drive from the cruise ship terminal and the beaches are nicer in Nuevo Vallarta than in Puerto Vallarta. Whatever you end up doing, hope you have a wonderful cruise/vacation:)

    whats the sea like for swimming?

    • @evah8826
      @evah8826  Рік тому +1

      Hello. The ocean is definitely calmer in the morning hours so I you want to swim, probably best to do it before noon. We have spent time in the ocean in the afternoons too but it was more for jumping the waves and many were boogie boarding. During our stay in early February all the days were pretty much the same, there were no red flag days, when going into the ocean is not recommended. Water temperature was around 22C (73 F). The beach is very nice here, not rocky and no seaweed.
