I live on the East Coast of the United States of America. Spent eight days in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I stayed at the fiesta americana. I had a great time and I really enjoyed Mexico and The local people treat all foreigners with respect. I took a cab into the center of the city and walk through a lot of streets during the day and never had a problem. I really miss the 83 degree weather every day and the clean air and the sunny skies. It’s a touch humid there but after coming from the frozen tundra it actually felt great.
3:14 *Watch out 👀 & pay attention where you walk. Sometimes there are Small holes on the ground where you can easily get your heel stuck and fall. Vallarta is beautiful.*
The way you handled the trap zone was great. That part of the airport can really cause a lot of stress and make people cave in. In reality, all of the salespeople only care about making money.
I have watched a few travel videos for Puerto Vallarta but this is by far the best helping with getting through the airport and all the tourist traps travelers encounter when arriving! Thanks a bunch!
Thank you, that was a quick explanation of important things to know. I enjoy your videos, subscribed about 3 months ago. I will be back in about 6 weeks. Looking forward to the next video.
I like her PVR airport advice in the first minute of the video, and I agree. Here's what I tell friends about the swank timeshare sales hallway: "Act like you're bored, eyes front, blank stare on your face; go dead inside, and keep moving forward. Ignore all offers of free margaritas, bottled water, and rides. You'll hear people say things like: 'Wait, sir, where are you going?!' Ignore it all." :-)
Thanks, very informative and quick knowledge about all the things I’ve been wondering about. I’m planning a trip to Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta this summer and this video answered a lot of my questions.
A followup comment: her advice is really good. Regarding the taxis at PVR airport, I actually like getting a taxi right outside on the sidewalk. Usually the queue wait time isn't too long. Uniformed taxi reps outside will either put you in an available taxi (if not too busy) or walk you a very short distance (20') to a booth along the sidewalk, where you'll pay a fixed rate. It's not a rip-off; relax, this is legit. The rates are based on the destination's zone. There are no meters in taxis. It's true the taxi rates and Ubers are lower if you cross the pedestrian bridge (she's correct) but overall the airport taxis at the terminal don't cost a fortune. Like $385 pesos to go from PVR airport to Zona Romantica, for example. Besides, the taxis are clean and the drivers are usually really nice guys. Most grew up in Puerto Vallarta, and will chat with you if you're polite and friendly. I think it's good karma to support the local economy via airport taxi guys even if the rates are higher. If the driver is kind and turns on the AC, I tip extra at the designation to show appreciation.
Wish I saw this first! We did ok though. Got pulled into the trap zone at airport and lost 5 mins. Love the over the ped bridge hack for next time to get a taxi! Next time, we’ll try the bus for a few trips, and the médico offices tip is good to know! Thanks again for your informative and to-the-point video!
great update from 2021. May I point out that if you have a lot of bags taking the "federal" or fixed price taxi's can save a lot of "strain and sweat" over a couple of dollars saved .hauling the bags over the overpass to the other side ! Is the bus price in town still 10 pesos? FYI One year I actually got a copy of the "tarrifas" or taxi fees from the "sitio" or zone that I was staying at. The security guards had a copy that was provided by the local taxi union . This gave me a complete picture of fees going to all parts of PV. Try to find it or your tip to use the hotel concierge for taxi fees was VITAL and for all remember that the fees are in PESOS ! Every year I hear about the guy who forgets he is in Mexico and pays in DOLLARS ! Example Taxi to Romanic Zone from Sheraton maybe in 60-70 pesos NOT DOLLARS ! Thank You for your advise. A thumbs up.
2 questions..... one.... when do the current restrictions end... the one where you need negative Covid test for entrance to a restaurant, or bar.... and two, do they have rapid pcr tests in PV??
Only need the vaccine card or pcr test for bar, night clubs concerts or any big event. They haven’t said until when I’m guessing until the cases drop. PCR testing is available throughout PV
Would you be willing share a video of driving rules in Puerto Vallarta? For example a left turn is made from the far right lane and any additional helpful tips.
Great video.so when I went on Google maps satellite image I could see the walkway across the highway and it looks like there is cabs waiting there.thanks I'm gonna use that saved money for margaritas. Salud.
I love Mexico. It’s such a beautiful country. I would love to visit again, but how safe is it for tourists? I read so many things about crimes against tourists.
Generally it is no more or less dangerous than bustling US cities. Mexico, like the US is a large and diverse country so most places are going to be very safe and some are quite dangerous. You'll likely have no reason to visit the quite dangerous places like Guanajuato.
Black's are ET's Easy Targets, ever since they arrived with their BLM shirts the locals have resented it, it brought an Attitude of Entitlement which stands for nothing here. Wear that BLM shirt or Attitude your food will be spit on, your drinks will be watered down with Urine etc...lots of ways. The worse are....drum roll...we don't find this at all funny...LIZZO look...no one is getting turned on with a 300 lb 50+++ BMI female that thinks FF Fat Folds are sexy....go to Cancun not the Jungle areas...
Mexico is not strict on setting rules if you test positive. The main thing is you will not be able to board the plane until your test comes back negative. That can be in a few days or week.
wow i was there 10 years ago i am thinking of going back i went on 3 timeshares i made 100 bucks each and got my free adventures so back then it was a hour and i said no i got my freebies
What is the policy for bringing personal nicotine vape pens into Mexico from US. NOT CANNABIS just nicotine. Trying to quit smoking but don’t want to break any laws. Thank you!
If you tend to be around people who talk exactly how you do you will have trouble understanding most people from different parts of the country, including other Americans (or wherever u r from) I understood everything she said. I thought she had grown up in America until she kept saying her home. I think maybe she moved back to Mexico. She clearly understands American grammar, probably her parent’s were raised in Mexico.
Always wear good sneakers or walking shoes. Cobblestone streets and uneven sideways can be hazardous. Also be aware that sidewalks and most businesses in Vallarta are not ADA compliant. Not the place for folks with mobility issues.

This is probably the best travel info video I have watched. Every question I had was answered and more. Thank you!
Your welcome I’m glad it was helpful
Is English spoken at the airport when getting an “authorized” taxi?
@@alyonapetrova694 Yes
@@alyonapetrova694 I would recommend walking outside the airport and across the sky bridge to get a taxi for half the price though.

If I have the courage, I will give it a try.
Thank you.

I was there 3 weeks ago and had the time of my life!! I miss Puerto Vallarta so much already 😢
What about the life style?

There is a pre-paid taxi counter in the airport - you get a ticket and give it to the guy outside.
Will keep this in mind during our next visit. Thanks much for the tip.

Thank you for your video! Are you able to use a home COVID test to come back to the US?
Yes but you have to follow the instructions given by the cdc. You can find the info at www.cdc.gov/
How is te traffic is it a lot of construction?
Traffic is heavy right now due to it being high season and through downtown one of the bridges is being repaired
So do you. Red a passport to enter or just to leave.
If you are coming from the US you need a passport to enter Mexico
Is showing a picture of vaccine card sufficient for Bar entry or do you need the actual card?
They just stopped that.
Haven’t been to pvr in 15 years. As annoying as the timeshare folks are, the last time I visited I got a jeep rental for $20/day from them
What if your covid test returns positive? What do you do and where do you go? For how long??
Mexico is not strict on setting rules if you test positive. The main thing is you will not be able to board the plane until your test comes back negative. That can be in a few days or week.
Do we have to get a covid test before we leave Puerto Vallarta? We’re from California so I’m not sure if it’s required when we head back home.
Yes still required if entering US
do you know if we need a booster shot to travel to/from canada?
To Canada I’m not sure. To enter Mexico your not required
wow i was there 10 years ago i am thinking of going back i went on 3 timeshares i made 100 bucks each and got my free adventures so back then it was a hour and i said no i got my freebies
Tienes un canal con audio en español?
So what do we need to travel in from like TJ to Puerto Vallarta? Like obviously passport , but what else exactly :) I’m from the us
Nothing else
Health Questionaire ended in January I believe
Do you still need to do the test stuff?
If the country you are flying into requires it
@@VallartaLife but you don't need anything for Mexico
thanks.
Nice accent!
Can I show a picture of my vaccine card on my phone, or do I physically need to have it?
I think with a pic is fine but I’m not 100% sure. All business are different
They didn’t check anything in pv in December have both though to be safe✌🏼
Is a negative Covid test still required when leaving the country / airport?
No that has been eliminated
@@VallartaLife how about going there?
I paid $40 for covid test at hospital Joya in Nuevo Vallarta
Not bad thanks for sharing
the immigration forms and covid rules have changed; please look this up to fill out your forms online.
Would you recommend visiting Puerto Vallarta Mid June? How’s the weather? Anyone been in June? TIA
June is hot, Beginning of summer 90-95F. Amazing sunsets and a few showers
If you do not mind the high humity and hot days, and afternoon relieving rain, and greener scenery, go for it
This video was SO helpful! I'm excited for my upcoming trip. Thanks for putting this together ❤️
Glad it was helpful!
Man girl you cover it all!
Thank you
hi, to fly back to usa, can we take a covid antigen saliva test instead of pcr nose rape?
Only the nose tests are available here in Mexico
Do you NEED VACCINE CARD Leaving from NYC
No
What is the policy for bringing personal nicotine vape pens into Mexico from US. NOT CANNABIS just nicotine. Trying to quit smoking but don’t want to break any laws. Thank you!
👍👍👍👍
how is the cartel crime? I keep hearing bad stories on the news
nah ied just take a road trip there
It's ridiculous that you still feel a need to talk about covid. Ain't nobody wanting to know where to get a covid test
Lol place looks like shit. I’d rather go to Hawaii
I find you difficult to understand
If you tend to be around people who talk exactly how you do you will have trouble understanding most people from different parts of the country, including other Americans (or wherever u r from)
