Dakotah phend is the phenom. Carter will be the prodigy. Mark my words. Great video Ryan!
Carter is a great listener for a kid to be able to take constructive criticism like that is awesome mad Respect to him and the parents 👏
his dads a good dude also , they club are at my local track
@@zackriden79 that's pretty cool.
that is a good part of a driver to identify his own mistakes and know what he should do tho he need a coach both to remind in the heat of the battle when its as easyest to get stuck in a pattern of wrong habits as well as confirm what is important and good habits (like ryan does in this video).
hope this guy gets coached by someone who knows what needs to be gained in terms of more knowlege how to evolve as a driver as he shows he got great potential.
also as said he can take good and bad criticism and do something constructive of it that is a good trait.
I wanted to write the same. Spot on.
The best thing I heard Ryan say was “consistency first, speed comes later “. That may not be the exact quote but so many people miss that part of racing especially me
I’m a tattoo artist, and we say the same thing.
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
I disagree with this “consistency first, speed comes later". Speed and consistency come about with feedback on your driving and track time. I used to be consistent but slow due to being too smooth. Once I learnt how I had to change my driving to go faster, I lost consistency because I had to relearn.
Learn what is needed to be done to drive the car fast, from the start and consistency will come with time. The caveat to that is some people become irrational when they are racing (they see red), then advice of mindset and awareness will help their consistency.
@@dontfeelcold everyone has their own way of learning. That’s what so interesting about people
@@russellthomas4693 That makes no sense in the context of what I wrote.
I'm pretty sure Carter has run at SS a few times when I've been there.. That kiddo is amazingly fast now!
Met them at our local shop in Altoona pa during their new years race. Shaffer's full steam ahead is the shop. Raced with him and he is super fast and he won multiple races that night. His dad is super nice and I even took some tips from them. Crazy to see them on this video. I was like hey there's the 9 year old that beat my a** last week 🤣🤣
Love it and miss watching new videos.
Nice work Carter keep up the good work little man!…👍🏽
Props for bringing a youngster into your video and fantastic job teaching him. It's a great way to get kids to feel comfortable and not intimidated so they will come out on the track and practice with us. I sure wish someone would have done that for me when I was a wee lad.
11.40 now that was pro!!
need more of this- helps to keep our hobby interesting and brings up to higher driving level.Greetings Jürgen👍
the highlight for me is when he was explaining "not disturbing the suspension" part.. makes tons of sense.
Only you Ryan, thank you. Smooth progressive input control. So the car dose not become unbalanced or do something stupid like traction roll or something. You even filmed yourself slowly pulling the gas. And your so right.
Great editorial to teach Corning on high grip tracks! Enjoy your approach to filming!!
I got given the dex210 a couple of years ago with a fair bit of parts and when I went to my hobby shop they kind of made me want to try out racing so just gotta finish building the dex210 and I might hit the track
Dude it’s great to see young kids doin what they love.
As long as they get off the couch and cell phones😉
Smart little guy, and very impressive driving abilities for a beginner with only a year of experience behind the wheel. With your coaching he will be dominating that track!
That is so great to see a young child into RC racing so much.. I love taking my boy to the track (9) but he lacks this amount of enthusiasm. Kids are the future of our hobby and we need to make steps as racers/clubs to accommodate and make them feel welcome.
Really appreciate your channel. 👍
Great video. This is what the hobby is all about . Great job Ryan Harris
Finished my first rc race at PNB this weekend, consistency wins the race!!
The world's needs more people like you doing this. Need more kids into the hobby.
Nice to see you teaching young kids, it definable helps racing and the hobby as a whole. Love your vids man, keep it up!
I wish their was more like you Ryan a true pro driver
@Ryan Harris that's awesome helping him be a better smoother consistent driver. You have a big heart and your an Awesome Guy.
I was taught the same thing. Consistancy first speed comes later. I don't race I drive for fun to relax.
I love these racing tutorials they are great especially when you have others help
Wise words. Getting consistent and smooth has improved my lap times. Love seeing the youngters get fast, they are the future of our sport.
What a fantastic young man!
Important lessons here for all of us, young and old.
You're a fantastic human Ryan! A great mentor for this young man. Excellent advise for racers of all skills! Thanks man 🙏😎🙏
Awesome job Carter “
Uncle Jay would be so proud of you. Keep up the good work.
Great video. You should have a lazer pointer in your toolkit so when pointing out lines you can show it with the lazer pointer 😏👌👌
@Ryan you need to give an update on Carters progress.
Great video! Thanks Ryan and Carter!
Love the Video series. Keep them coming
All these tips can be used at just about any track, thanks! It's cool to see you passing the knowledge to the younger racers 👍 Add to the fack he listened, felt the knowledge through trial, and was able to give great feedback! Well done!
this is so important for young drivers to give them managing and grow, learn more of the sport.
im sure i got lots of bad habits during a race that could need a manager to get past.
if i see a driver no matter if they are young or grown up struggling with a car that seem hard to drive or in worst case bad setup i gladly help with tips and trick to get the car in better shape.
no matter if they can go faster then me after that help thats not my main goal to keep other struggling and be the one that can do something to help a fellow racer and dont do it becaus rivalry.
I am loving watching this series of videos, and am really impressed with the effort you are putting in to help the people on the videos.
WoW 👌 great job both of you.. Carter is awesome no way I'd race him he'll embarrasse me lol
great video was rad watching him stick those last runs on that sweeper incredible talent
Very informative Ryan. I want to see more turf/ carpet racing with your setups etc.
I love it you’re doing a great job teaching him. His mama is very proud . Keep up the good work.
♥️
Keep the driving lessons coming!!!! I’m loving these videos and learning a lot.
Nice post Ryan. Great to see you helping out an up and comer! Keeps the hobby going.
Well done! Tidying up the driving was definitely noticable, great job!!
Nice video🔥.
ps. more 8th scale!!!!
This was a great video love this series. It really drives home the things that I need to work on myself
Another great vid Ryan! Sharp kid too! Funny, you hit on many of the points I was telling myself this past weekend at the race. After all these years, I still struggle with carrying too much speed sometimes going into corners. I'm glad you highlighted these points. I plan to work on my consistency moving forward!
Carter is great. I must say though, it is great that he has a community around him that is so interested in helping him. Kudos Ryan! Too many tracks with grown men yelling and cursing. No place for a kid.
Hey Ryan I just want to say thanks for getting me back into the hobby I used to race back in the day with my dad But he passed away and was never really ready to get back into it Then my son was born and now we're getting back into it Thanks to watching all your videos You give great tips and very knowledgeable about the RC racing world I have learned a lot from your videos and my son loves watching you race and where we're working on getting to a race track ourselves and going racing Definitely might need some tips and tricks to get there And with these videos that you are making it's helping out a lot thanks Ryan I hope to see more of the driving lessons an Carter keep up the good work 👏
What a great video, and you’re a good ambassador for the sport sharing your know;edge like this. I learned stuff watching it and I’m about to transition into buggies from a much slower formula, so this will help me too. This is actually my favourite type of video that you do. Watching the driver challenges/ rivalries and discussing driving techniques is really interesting to me and nobody else does it as well.
Wish I could get a driving lesson with my favorite UA-camr 😂
Great video!
Great series of videos, keep 'em coming!
Ryan this couldn’t have came at a better time, during this weekends JBRL I ran into a fellow driver, when there is only 1 line on that turn. Long story short I got docked a lap LOL, Thanks for the great videos Ryan 🔥
Solid video bro! This is very cool for us dudes who have kids starting to take interest in RC. To see the way you interact with the youngblood, very inspiring! The relationship you guys just displayed is totally a righteous bar to aim for. Great content man! Keep it coming!
A future team pro champ
Spot on
Lots of potential there. He would do well at events like INS or even Dirt Nats
Awesome video bro. Can’t wait to get me and my little ones on a track. Very advanced
Do a video on how to whip! Cool style jumping
Nice Sweater. Pro Performance RC!!!!!! Available at Hillside RC Raceway in Georgetown Ca
Yeah Ryan I like this format… it writes itself…
great coaching, what an improvement, I would have loved to know how much his consistency and lap times improved.
Yoda and Luke 😊 really good video, keep up the good work
Good video!!!
Man how awesome is Carter! How old is Carter? My boy is interested in RC and I am trying to work out what age kids have the development to handle a car.
Another impressive video.
slow is fast.
smooth lines.
down ramp.
and check up if needed.
Literally only ONE right turn on the entire track😁
Awesome video Ryan!!! 😊👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
This kid has more skill than me. I would love to learn some tricks from him.
Great video as always! Good lesson. I hit the dislike on accident but hit the like. Hope that doesn’t mess with your algorithm !
Question, what is the best budget beginner buggy or truggy to get into racing with? Found out Mini Ts are not run anywhere in a 2 hour radius around me so I'm gonna need to get something new
I do
25% nitro fuel
Oil 11% or 18% is better?
look's like young tessman
Lol he reminds me of young tessman
Anyone know what track they’re at?
