New subscriber…. Love this style of videos… This channel is the only one that I’ve found with this type of content… Thank you for making them….
Thanks so much! I still get amazed every time I go out that we get to see what's under the boat. Feel like every fisherman throughout history has dreamed of what we get to do now!
Great video, good content, and a lot of fish catching.😊
Excellent video -- I love the full screen LS and the corresponding commentary. I tend to vertical jig most of the time, but I'm figuring out the pitch watching your vids and am eager to try it. You mention lots of lessons learned that are appreciated -- it's great for re-enforcing what works and for learning something new! Thanks for the info!!
Thank you!
Oh man, I used to vertical jig about 80% of my days before forward sonar came along! Now I can see the majority of the fish scatter as the boat gets within 10-15 feet of them and figured out that I needed to be fishing at a distance to get those skittish fish. Still learning and fine tuning every day here also. Good luck out there!
Excellent video. You do a very good job presenting the Livescope screen and your narration is excellent. I thought that a 44 minute video was probably more than I would normally watch, but I watched and enjoyed every minute of it. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much Pilot!
I'm having a blast making these and actually learning a lot as I rewatch what I did on the water when I edit the videos. Might be a bit longer for the next one with Christmas plans but I'm going to try to sneak in a half-day trip between now and then at some point.
Very nice video and great LS views, keep up the great work.
Thanks Danny!
I have learned a lot from your livescope videos. Keep ‘em coming.
Thanks so much Joe! Got a video that should be ready and uploaded on Sunday where I caught a MONSTER flathead catfish this week!
@@HighQualityFishingVideos I’ll be looking for it
I like the videos and the way you keep the Livescope on the biggest screen. Very informative to fish behavior. The only problem I have is 44 Minutes. I have to watch it in 2-3 different sessions because I don’t have that much time. Not complaining thanks.
Thanks Rick!! I am so glad you like the videos!
I know they are super-long videos, hahaha! I kept trying to figure out how to cut time out to shorten it down and eventually gave up on it and just posted them. The good news is that I've only had time for half-day trips the last few times so they're only about 20 minute videos for the last few (one I'm still editing now).
Big plans for this channel though, I'm hooked on this now and I go after fish in every way imaginable! Hybrids/Largemouths soon, shrimping/crawfishing this spring, and spearfishing for catfish with scuba gear up in Arkansas this summer!
Fun video to watch fella. Well done !
Thanks John! I'm having a ton of fun making these so more to come!
Great video. I like watching the live scope.
Thank you sir for a great informative video.
I'm gonna use every bit of it !!
Good stuff!!
Thank you Ben! Glad you liked it!
Thanks for your tips and tricks also. Fun videos to watch
Great video. More I watch these with LS the more I sharpen that pencil. A tip I found from another LS video is to rub your bait on the fish you catch. This ads scent to your bait and increases your bite ratio. Keep the videos coming, love your details. Tight lines.
Man.... that makes perfect sense. I have noticed after I catch a few the bite picks up and I bet it's because that fish smell is on them more.
I keep those little crappie nibbles on the hook also and can definitely tell a difference if I forget those.
Thanks for watching, good luck out there!
Hope you don’t sick over your fishing trip. Great video Sir. Great narration.
Good stuff, heading out this weekend for some slabs in my livescope. Good content.
Thank you! I'm having a blast making these and so glad everybody is liking them. Good luck out there this weekend!
great job
12:25 the bright return youre getting is the "elbow" of the tree you're seeing. The fish you caught came off the bottom. Up past that elbow and eventually hitting the jig! The more elbows you see the more your eye will be trained to recognize them. Good video, you are around plenty of fish and even some really good sized ones.
HOOK CITY!!! Man I am honored that you watched one of my videos! I watched a bunch of yours for years since you were fishing in areas with very similar climate to my own. Thanks so much for the tips, I'm about to go watch that video again!
If you ever want to come fish Lake Darbonne the front seat in my old boat is all yours! I have a feeling we'd catch more with you on the graph hahaha!
@@HighQualityFishingVideos thanks for the support and invite! I may have to come that way. That lake is loaded based on your videos. This was actually the first video I've seen from your channel. I'm a subscriber now! Tight lines man
@@HookCityTV That invite is real, any time you want to come out there's a seat in my boat for you.
Appreciate the support and all the knowledge in years past! Good luck and tight lines!
Bro..he is very smart guy
Great video! Im learning lots from your videos. Love how you explain what we looking at.
Thanks so much! I've been taking family out catching a ton lately but hoping to go out solo and make another video soon. I think I finally figured out what to do to catch those fish that follow but never bite! If they stick around after the first pitch-and-fail anyway!!
Another great video thank you.
Thank you yarbrough! Glad you liked it!
look like you caught some nice ones. thanks for the video 👍
Thanks Cleveland, so glad you liked the video! Got a few really nice fish on that trip and plenty that were perfect sized for the fish-fry!
@@HighQualityFishingVideos can't beat a good mess of crappie. subbed for more videos 👍
Great video! I use Livescope for my channel as well but your camera set up is next level! Thanks for sharing!
Thank You! It took me a while to figure everything out and the editing is tough but it's a lot of fun making these!
@@HighQualityFishingVideos Its worth the effort you are putting in and WE APPRECIATE your content! Keep posting and WE WILL KEEP WATCHING!
Love the livescope footage!
Thanks Arrigo!
Outstanding videos! Keep cranking em out
Thanks so much David! I keep trying to wait for a day without rain or wind but now I think I'm just gonna have to go fish Friday night to escape the wind. Next video will probably be a night-fishing video, but the Livescope recording will still be bright and green!
man I am really enjoying your content👌👌 I thought about doing this kind of setup with my Helm feature but right now I'm just enjoying fishing and not having to film anything LOL😋😋 keep up the great work sir👍👍
Thanks Fredo!
Definitely the hardest part so far is taking the extra time once I get to the fishing spot to set the camera/audio stuff up instead of fishing immediately! Hard to see all the spots and not grab a pole right when I get there!!
Just installed livescope and enjoy learning from your videos. Great job on narration. Keep up the good work!
Thank you pao! You are about to have the funnest spring fishing ever! Good luck out there!
Great video bud.
Thanks Dlx!
Good video, enjoyed it.
Thanks so much! I'm having fun making these so more to come!
great job man, I enjoyed it
Thanks Mark! I'm going out tomorrow to make another video. Going to some more remote spots in hopes of finding a few big-big ones!
@@HighQualityFishingVideos keep putting out the videos man, great footage, love crappie fishing myself, it looks like you’re on a lot better body of water than me. Thanks
Bending the hook out slightly is a Richard Gene the Fishing Machine tactic. Are you using J - bend hooks or sickle hooks ? I use sickle hooks myself and I think the catch ratio is better with the sickle hooks. Very good point about going for the top fish first, I hadn’t even thought of that. Only fished with my lives-scope few times now. Rigging up my new to me 2000 tracker crappie pro. Had to move all my electronics to this boat and add a few things to make it mine. Sold my old river boat, when I say old, it was a 1959 Starcraft v-bottom.
I love the fishing machine's youtube channel! I watch his stuff all the time and am constantly amazed at how shallow he can fish in the colder months.
I learned that little hook-bending trick about 20 years ago while salmon fishing using salmon eggs up in Alaska and it has translated VERY well with pretty much every other type of fishing! The salmon don't eat the eggs, they just have the instinct to grab them and take them to the side of the river and it gives you a chance to hook up.
I REALLY wish I could find good quality 1/16 oz pink sickle hook jig heads! Right now I'm using the standard hook jigs but I agree, the sickle hooks seem to work better and lose fewer fish.
Enjoyed this video a lot. Just got my forward facing sonal ahd your interpretation of the screen is very helpful. What tackle set up are you using? Line, lure, weight?
Thanks Ron, glad you liked the video. I went out this morning and had my best day fishing all year. Will edit that one as soon as I can and post it up also - fish were super aggressive!!
I'm almost always using 6-8 lb test mono or hybrid fluro/mono line. In this video I was using 1/16 oz jig with 1.5 inch plastic, and a 1/16 oz split shot weight above the jig.
Great content.
What is your head unit that you have?.
32 or the 34 transducer?. Curious how your recording your screen. I have a 93sv 32 transducer I have for portable uses. But seems my clarity is not like yours. Its descent. But yours is great. Wandering if its the head unit difference?.
Anyways. Great video. Best out there.
Hey Brad, thanks for watching and I'm glad you like the videos!
I'm using the LVS34 + GPSMap1022.
Another thing I did was used the best 10 gauge wires I could find to run power and I soldered the connection splices, then heavily insulated around the splice with good quality splicing tape (the rubber stuff). Some of the bass tournament guys I talked to here said bad splices/wires are a big issue for clarity with LiveScope so I followed their advise.
Great Video! Do you use crappie nibbles or any scent?
Thanks Pete! I keep crappie nibbles on there just about all the time.
Do you use an anchor or spot lock trolling motor?
Hey T Leb,
I'm using Spot Lock in these videos with the trolling motor. But you could use an anchor or just work the trolling motor manually to stay in position also.
There's some days where the wind isn't blowing at all (spot lock doesn't work well with zero wind) and I have to work the motor manually or slowly drift around moving the livescope beam to stay on-target.
Would a anchor help or hurt when doing livescope?
I don't think it would hurt much at all! It might spook fish close to the boat, but you could just set up 10-20 ft away from your targets and pitch to them.
Before I got this trolling motor I always had a little mushroom anchor on the front of the boat rigged up with one of those pulleys/stops to make it easy to retrieve and lock into place. It worked perfect and I'd still be using it today if I didn't have spot lock.
What trolling motor you have? tryn to get one for my little 14' v bottom. thx
Hey, so on my old bass boat in this video the trolling motor is the 55lb minn kota terrova. Outstanding trolling motor and would hold me in place very well with spot lock.
Great video and audio. It’s sure nice to hear someone make this type quality fishing video without all the curse words. By the way, what Garmin unit do you run on your boat ? It’s one of the clearest I’ve seen.
Thanks Danny!
I've got two young kids I take in the boat often so definitely no curse words out of me while fishing!
The equipment I'm using is the LVS34 transducer hooked up to the GPSMap 1022.
Im still trying to figure out my livescope after a year.
Man it's a whole different type of tech than anything before for sure! Hit me up if there's any questions you have though and I'll share what I'm doing on my side. Definitely don't have all the answers but I can share what I'm doing that's working here!
I sure will brother!
There are some lake guides that offer tutorial sessions that really help
Bro I have to give you Crap on this video. How on earth did you not Limit Out.???? 😂😂😂😂 Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... You had 25 fish sitting still on Timber!! 😆😆😆 Come on man I expect more out of you then this... You are a way better fisherman than 14 on this day... I can show you "RUNNING/MOVING FISH" This "IS NAWT" RUNNING/MOVING. This video better be the OLD 5 MONTH version of you vs now... Gosh I'm so jealous of those conditions.. OMG!! 🤣🤣🤣😆😆😁
Brother where are you from..where are you fishing..I love the way you show the screen y you at the same time..ur really good
Thanks so much WG! I'm a local guy, only about a half hour from Lake Darbonne in North Louisiana. Tons of great fishing right around here!!
