Nice job! Maybe a future follow up can be some thoughts on ruling out non-target species. Carp, catfish, sandbass, etc. I'm the worlds best at trying to catch carp on scope, well...... i think they're carp!
I've called Garmin and talked to a tech support member who has been working at Garmin for 17 years. He enlightened me that Garmin's best performance is 3 times in foward range than the depth range, so 20 foot depth should be no more than 60 feet foward range and the cone angle in mathematical terms is the sine number for 20 degrees multiplied by foward distance equals the area covered at that distance.
I agree that the actual scale on the screen looks much better that way however I like to be able to look more than 80ft and not shrink my useable screen size!
Range: 75-110
Depth: 20-30 (99% of the time)
Gain for LVS 34: (62-74)
Gain for LVS 32: (64-72)
Noise Reject: Low
TVG: Low
Ghost Reject: Low
Love the video. Much better than watching someone catching fish without telling exactly what they are doing. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
One of the best FFS videos we have ever seen! Killin' it Sam, keep it up!
Wow what a great video felt like I’m in class👍
Lake pro for the win! Well put together usable information. I am still learning my livescope and appreciate the selfless giving of tips. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video! You did a great job putting this information together! Keep them coming!
Thanks for tuning in!!
Great vid great break down
Best Garmin video I have watched. Great job. Very informative!
Thank you!
Thank you. I am planning on working on improving my skills this winter on livescope and this video will help a lot.
Great to hear! The winter time is the best time!!
I used to barrel mount but couldn’t calibrate the compass. Shaft mounts been great for me and the calibration has worked and made a big difference 👍
Awesome!
Great video! Thank you!!
This is an excellent explanation. Thanks very much!! I just subscribed.
Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the idea! I can do that!
thanks, i'll be back
Would like to ask what upgrade you are running on the unit for the Lvs 32 Thanks
Update?
Great video, I see you’re not showing the voltage readout to the unit….are you a higher voltage for a better picture guy? Thanks
Garmin recommends 12v but I hooked it up to my 16v battery. I believe it technically voids the warranty but no it won’t increase the screens image
Great video! What is an "A-Rig?"
Umbrella Rig or Alabama Rig

Do you know if a barrel mount LVS 32 will work with the Ghost /built in transducer?
It should work fine. There might be a slight interference but nothing awful
When are you going to start selling some non-grandpa hats? 😆 Thanks for the settings!
hahahaha
You need to post all the settings in a pinned top comment.
Done
I was not able to read any of the text boxes you put on screen, in their entirety. Why not leave them up a little longer?
Mainly so you have to rewind the video. It is already 35 minutes so I have to keep moving.
Why not cut the BS and show us how actually looks on the sonar
I mean I did add screen footage into the video
