    This is the only video that shows the tub base attached to the tub and the seal. You started to mention the putting on the base but did not explain further, which is important. My base is rusted where the seal was leaking. Therefore, I have to replace the base support plate. What parts are included inside the base plate? I understand the bearings and brake tube come with it? What about the basket drive?

    @izzynutz2000 Thanks for the comment. You must have a belt drive model...Some newer Whirlpool models have a very different mechanical design similar to the old GE top loading washers in the suspension system. A few older "thin twin" stack washers are also slightly different. Good find! Easy fix! Thanks again for the comment!

    Does it go off balance when the tub is empty? Thats a good way to eliminate load related problems. That back spring is the first thing to look at... also look at the pads between the suspension plates...

    Wow great detail.
    My tub leans really far back to one corner, now I know probably it's the front left spring.
    Edit: nope... I guess it's not level? Lol

    Suspension springs are almost never the cause of an off balance spin cycle? Thats the issue im trying to diagnose on an LSR5233EQ1 and the first culprit i was going to be looking at. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Great video BTW.

    Cameraman: "No way am I going to move over there so these viewers can see what that rear suspension spring looks like OR where it connects to that washing machine! I am NOT budging!"

    I know that this is an old video but I'll give it a shot. Right around the 9:54 mark there are those two semi clear cups that have pins inside them. What are their purpose and how are the pins to be installed?

    • @applianceassistant
      @applianceassistant  6 років тому +1

      Jay W the cups are there to catch the shipping pins that are in place from the factory. They do not need to be reinstalled. If you move the washer just try and avoid standing it upside down or drops.

      Thank You, I had things apart because the washer wobbles and bangs severely during the spin cycle. All of the springs are in their proper places. This all started after having an off balance large load in the washer that I was not home to catch.

      Jay W that's strange... the rear tub spring may have gotten stretched out. Not much else to go wrong, if the upper triangular suspension plate is still in position.

      This is the EXACT question I needed answered! Looked EVERYWHERE, nothing. I suspected it was just for shipping because I couldn't find the part in any diagram.....I installed it when I took my washer apart🤦🏾‍♀️. Now I know what the issue prob is lol

      @@janol3330 lol I took my ENTIRE washer apart, replaced the parts....installed the shipping pins because I thought it ce loose while I was taking things apart. I had to take it all apart again. Works like new now! This guy's comment was a God send!

    Thanks applince assistant but my stackable washer and dryer has 3 isolater adjustable springs that have 3 long studs that sit on a plastic adjustable spring screw that screws into the spring that sits on a rubber Isolater that sits in a little teacup looking thing that mounts to the bottom frame.... The one in the front is worn out at the teacup and the frame..
