My neighbor had a Curtis Rite, I believe it was a 700 Hp tractor. I only saw it once. He pulled a 55 ft and a 59 ft side by side double row cultivator. He farmed about 13 sections of light to sandy light soil. That was in 1982, 2 years later he sold out.
The 9630 weighs about 39,000 lbs from the factory and can be field weighted to 60,000 lbs. The 750 was built at 69,500 lbs with no weights. The 750 is going to offer more pulling power.

How many RPMS does that thing turn?? Is it because it’s a 2 stroke that it seems like it’s revving so high?? Cause I thought diesels were partly reliable from turning lower rpm’s??sounds like he’s revving 6,000 rpm’s or so which would be some serious RPMS for a large diesel.
A bit of a roar with that one. It draws side by sides like a flame draws moths! You do need help keeping an eye on that plow--It's so long he's picking up the front before letting down that back!

The event covers 200 acres. It takes 30 minutes to walk from one side to the other. There is plowing, corn picking, corn combining and soybean combines all running at the same time.
Don't know Mike Whalen, but could take you right to his house. Have a friend that does know Mike, and Mike used his wheat stubble as the testing ground for that double plow hitch. My friend says Mike can build just about anything out of steel.
The ACO 600 Oubaas Africas biggest tractor + V12 Biturbo + 820 hp + most powerful tractor beside Big Bud. This is really some tractor that you should try and feature.
This tractor was originally purchased by a large grass seed farm and replaced by STX500 Steigers in the early 2000’s. It was sold to a grain farm and now mainly takes part in plowing demonstrations.
They look like a bunch of birds going after freshly plowed up worms. They all get up there and look at the dirt after it’s plowed like they had to confirm it actually plowed it.
Awesome tractor, needs a repower to something a bit quieter,, check out Bill Zell's Baldwin pulling 214 foot direct drill rig here in Australia, well worth the look
Dahlmasen I was talking to his cousin who was my neighbor only ten days ago The tandem 450 JD contraption was before the Baldwin as it is now, ie it says 600 hp, but I believe it is more. He has done well for a bloke who started on a river block along the Castlereagh river between Gulargambone and Coonamble

That engine screams I could never listen to that all day holy hell.
That had to be a blast riding in that cab but I couldn’t get used to that Detroit screaming 10 hours a day.

The second is the Big Bud 740 currently rated at 1,000 hp. Two 740s were built. One in 1984 and one in 1987. Today they belong to a large dairy farm.

The 747 is 25ft wide and 130,000 lbs. this 750 is big but the 747 is huge.

It’s just a setup for shows. That way they can hook it to any tractor without worrying about hydraulics.

It is a 1 of 1 tractor but Rite was a build two order tractor maker. They built two 707 tractors that are similar to this 750.

It’s there now. When the show started in 2001 it was highlighting 1940’s and 1950’s tractors. Now 1970’s and 1980’s tractors are a big part of it.
