I love your tutorials!
thank you! i appreciate the kind words 😁
Excellent.
I’m asking for clarity about the camera movement,so basically all you did was pre track an animation that you previously rendered then added that camera data to the scene to build your painting from there?
👍
Thanks a lot for this tutorial ! A lot of things become crystal clear !!! Only the camera projection section is still a bit elliptic for me and then... a little bit mysterious ?!? Maybe there will be one day a MP_camera projection for noobs? :)
could you be more specific? happy to answer any followup questions here if I can 😋
The camera projection is really a major feature in this new version reason why I would really like to be able to use it . Maybe you can show another example with an object smaller than the castle, but in which you’d increase the geometry of the proxy volume to “really capture the parallax” as you said.
Also I didn’t get you when you said “We can make adjustments by painting, the transparency mask” ??
@@stephanec3436 Ahh I see, let me elaborate:
By "really capture the parallax", I'm referring to the "depth" of the scene, because the castle has multiple buildings, some closer than others, if we were to push the camera too close, we would start to see stretching textures due to the projection, by closely following along the original geometry we achieve a much more accurate projection so this stretching is minimized
this same concept of "pushing the camera in" applies to the other thing I mentioned regarding using a Plane for background elements -- because they're so far in the back, pushing the camera in a few meters won't change how it looks to the camera, which is why we can get away with much simpler geometry
as for the transparency mask section: when you use the Camera Project function, it converts the geometry into a MattePainter Layer, this means we can go in and paint the transparency to hide/show sections of it just like any other MattePainter Layer - this is useful to fix any weird sections that might appear after Projecting -- in the video you can see me painting some odd little straight edges that appeared from the projection, you can also Colour Grade the Projection if you need too
I hope this helps! If the Camera Projection stuff continues to confuse people I'll probably make a detailed video about it 😋😋
It will be much useful if you make live bridge between blender and krita together because brush engine of krita is way superior than blender and is developed countinuosly. Krita is best for painting work.
i think Blender already has support for this but if not I can look into it! ☺
How make this animation in blender?
ua-cam.com/video/9Ps68bxRwqs/v-deo.htmlsi=5LYE22p7U6C3FEKf
i think you could recreate it with geometry nodes and instancing the dolphins on each vertex, but i'm not a geonodes expert 😅
Works with Eevee?
yep! the only different would be the indirect lighting bouncing from the images/videos
it's not currently updated for 4.1 or any of the experimental versions yet, just as an fyi 😋
@@scenefiller that's great!!! Gonna buy it soon.
@@nelson3d867 i appreciate the support! let me know if you have any other questions or run into any issues with it 🤗
@@scenefiller thank you.
