Love this! Little tip for those of us who find the 3 needle bind off difficult, use a crochet hook in place of your 3rd needle.

Glad you like this tutorial, and thanks for the tip for using a crochet hook! I will have to try that too 🙂

Thank you, I am glad you like it. The bags have been re-used too, one of my friends kids wore it as a hat :)

So cute. I don't know how to knit by hand though. Any thoughts on how a crocheter might be able to bind up those ends? I'd love to be able to make these this season!

You can cast on with waste yarn too and use a crochet hook to bind off. You can do single crochet or slip stitches.

@@Savlabot Thanks for the response and the recommendation. And hello from Orcutt! I just ordered your tensioner fork a few days ago and realized you're sending it to me from just up the road. Can't wait tot get it, just in time to fulfill my big holiday orders. (:

Really love this bag but I’m struggling so much with finishing it. I’ve brought circular knitting needles now and I’m still not able to do it. Also any tips on getting a tighter knit when joining 2 colour please. Thank you.

You can also bind off using a crochet hook and waste yarn to close the ends before sewing them together. When I made this video the only way I knew how to bind off was to knit them like I do in the video. Do you mean how to make the seam not jog over when you change colors? I am not really sure what you mean by tighter knit when joining 2 colors.

How do you cast off for a crochet method please. I brought the needles your using but I can’t doing it. Too fiddly for my hands 😩 would I need to add more waste yarn? Thank you.

If you cast on and cast off using waste yarn you can use a crochet hook to crochet them together.

These are adorable. Are there 2 sizes and if so how many rows is the second bag? What size is the bag in the video as complete?

I have more details on how I made the bag on my blog post. I include the numbers of rows that I did and a few other bags that I made that were smaller. savlabot.com/?page_id=3107
