If you are having trouble with Frosty or the website link doesn't work for the frosty website try the github link as that always has the latest version (make sure you download the mod manager and not the toolsuite. Toolsuite is only needed if you're going to build/make your own mods): github.com/CadeEvs/FrostyToolsuite/releases
github ? that platform has a lot malware, i dont trust in the plataform anymore. I'd like to try Paulv2k4's gameplay mod, it looks cool and everything but when I saw that the Frosty Tool suite doesn't have an official website I preferred not to install it, the only solution for me is to wait for the FiFer Realism Mod to become free, I'm sure FiFer doesn't allow you to pay for just one mod and have to pay for the whole package of mods, for me what matters most is the gameplay mod the other mods are a bonus but the gameplay mod is the main one, and having to pay monthly I don't agree with that but I understand, however FiFer Realism Mod the team does a fantastic job, although I'm going to use the free version afterwards which I have no idea when it will be released I'm going to pay for their work, if I could pay monthly I would do it without any problems but life here in my country has become more expensive.

Thank you for this, very helpful. Was having issue with the launch platform and your explanation resolved it (mods not showing in game despite everything appearing to be installed/functioning correctly)
I've been intimidated by Frosty mods for years, this was extremely helpful! This was clear and concise, easy to understand, and got rid of all aniexty I had about switching to Frosty of DAI mods. Thank you so much!
"giving it a night to think about what it's done" That made me crack up😂😂... and so true! Great tutorial Complex. I have this saved in my Dragon Age and Mass Effect tutorials. Thanks for this video!
Thank you for making this guide. I had never heard of frosty before and wanted to play through inquisition again out of nostalgia. Your video made setting up mods so easy THANK YOU!!
Thank you so much for making this video! Sooo sososo helpful!!!! I tried figuring out how to mod DA:I with Frosty without a tutorial and kept getting an error. Its finally working now!!! You are heaven sent!!!
Thank you so much for the tutorial as usual clean, simple and to the point. Also PSA: If you were running an old version of frosty and upgraded to the new one, and get the error : " Unexpected error occurred - Object reference not set to an instance of an object." when selecting your game when you run the new updated Frosty, just Validate your game files and try again! worked for me
I'm about 2/3 of the way through playing DA2 -because obviously I started replaying all the DA games the SECOND I saw the Dread Wolf trailer- so I cannot possibly express how grateful I am for this. I've played with Skyrim and *some* Cyberpunk mods, but I've never used Frosty and I've never modded DAI...Which I feel is a must (considering how many times I've played the vanilla on Consoles before). Also totally been binging your vids. I'm hopeful that maybe if I mod the shit outta Andromeda after Inq (cuz DW won't be out by then...?) I'll finally be able to like it as much as I always wanted to 🥲
Thank you for this video! I'm not super experienced when it comes to modding games and I've heard so many horror stories about modding Dragon Age Inquisition that I've always kind of avoided it, but this video gave me the courage to finally give it a try 😂 And it's actually not as bad as I thought. Granted, I've only downloaded one seemingly simple mod so far, but still haha. I'm gonna look into getting some more nice mods for Inquisition now (:
modding DAI for the first time and its quite diff to mod from the other two games so thought i wasn't gonna be able to do it. Simple, concise and easy to follow tutorial, thanks for making this video!!
I used your guide years ago now i wanted to play game again so here am again. Your way of explaining is very smooth, btw this channel looks very underrated. Thank you for easy tutorials.
And there you are again making awesome modding tutorials. I'm retiree gamer and need all the help I can get making my games look outstanding (and easier) ... your stuff has helped me with numerous games in the past so, thank you for all your hard work. 👍
I did the run as administrator on Frosty then deleted the ModData folder in Dragon age inquisition. It worked. Thank you so much for the help. GOD Bless. ^^
you can find the plugin needed to get the launch options by downloading frosty version 1062 extracting it, open the plugin file in frosty mod manager which is where you'll see LaunchPlatformPlugin, move this plugin to the newest frosty mod manager, in the plugin file. I also recommend getting frostyfix. After that go to the frosty mod manager settings and you'll see launch options. With frosty fix go to settings and you'll see a few options. Also I suggest getting datapathfix as well,it goes into the plugin folder too.
wanted a party banter mod bc the 10-15 min timer is CRAZY imo. thought id have to pull my hair out to get something small and was already ready to give up before i started. this video was a blessing to find tysm.
Thank you so much for this videos, las time I played DA:I was back in 2019 and haven't touched it since up until today, where it hit me again how some mechanics were, well, clunky, and needed modding. Your video is so well made and thorough, also your voice 🥰. Thank you again!
There was a recent EA App update for steam that fudged with things and a lot of people are having issues now using Frosty with Steam. Sadly I have no idea how to fix it currently however if you're trying to mod dai the .daimods should still work!
so ive been trying to mod dai and im having a few problems with frostymm so when i hit launch it closes my steam then reopens it to close it again then to be stuck on waiting for dragonageinquisition ive stopped it multiple times and restarted it ive swapped over the ea launcher and it still does the same thing where it will clsoe it open it but atleast it stays open this time (edit) ive went to the discord and had no access to anything and couldnt find out how to gain access to ask this question
I love your DAI Mod Guide It took me a while for my first time Modding now i know Everything to do lol and you're right about the Mod Data folder If you have any Problems just delete and replace your mods in Frosty .
everytime i go to launch.... it tries to open with EA when i have it set to open with steam, i have it downloaded through steam, and when i launch the game thru frosty it says the game needs to be downloaded in EA but when i go into EA it says its downloaded IN STEAM WHAT IS GOING ON LOL
Every time I click launch in the FMM my steam and EA keeps closing and it becomes a never ending cycle of reopening and closing and again and again. I followed the steps provided so im now lost.
Thanks for the video. Nicely done and easy to understand. My experience with Frosty MM has been LOTS trial and error these past few days. Ended up using Origin and have found that my mods load fine IF not only Frosty but Origin AND DAI are set to run as administrator AND are set as exceptions in Windows Defender. BUT when reaching Haven game assets are not loading: blacksmith, sawmill, sometime Chantry interior; then there is the conversation with Solas outside his quarters that goes whack. Not asking here for a solution did that on the Frosty discord just saying that something isn't working well with Origin. Have run DAI without mods also this week and Origin works fine. Oh, also tried DAI MM, had same issues with it, the MM worked fine but game assets not loading.
I need help with this and nobody on Nexus is responding..I've downloading a hairstyle and armor mod for Frosty, got both installed, ticked and pretty much followed this video..yet my mods aren't showing up in-game? Still have vanilla armor and no new hairstyles.
Still no luck, keep getting an error saying no access or path. It’s weird because every time it’s a different file. But most seem to be ones inside games patch folder.
@@FoodThenGames Oh, thanks for your answer. I did, sadly, and it still doesn't work; then I used frosty fix, and then later the plugin DatapathFix (that makes my game launch in 7mins) and nothing :( but Daitools works tho so it's a mystery
YES! Nothing is fixing this, I went to the tools tab and there’s no “launch option” tab Edit: I had to install an earlier version of Frosty but it worked!
Smh, I downloaded the latest Frosty Mod Manager 1.0.6.3 and it didn't even have a launch option to choose between EA Desktop and Steam. Thanks to ur vid I know to downgrade to 1.0.6.1 instead.
I followed everything in the video but I still cannot get the mods to work :( I'm not sure how to pinpoint the problem. My games launches, but without the mods
If you're launching through frosty and the mods aren't showing it could be that they didn't apply correctly. You could try deleting the mod data folder and seeing if that works to fix it. You could also try unticking or reticking a mod to see if that forces FMM to apply mods.
Thanks for updating this! Now that Dreadwolf is looming on the horizon, hopefully this is the time where I'm finally able to finish Inquisition! Something always happens and I lose track of everything I've done and decisions I've made. Maybe there's a journal mod...?
It's my first time modding Andromeda and the Frosty website says it's under maintenance. I have no idea if it's been under maintenance for a few hours, a couple days, or if it's just been abandoned and left to rot. Is there an alternative location where I can download the FMM or should I wait for its maintenance to complete?
I’ve been having issues using mods and frosty with this game forever. Been trying again follow guides and still issues with frosty. I’ll try this today, fingers crossed. 10th time is the charm.
If anyone can help at all it would be appreciated, everytime I try to launch dragon age inquisition (on anything, through frosty mod manager, through steam, through the ea app) it won't launch. On frosty it has an infinite "waiting for dragon age inquisition" loading screen, on steam it'll say it's playing and then suddenly stop, and on the ea app absolutely nothing happens when I click play. It is insanely frustrating and I can't figure out what the problem is.
Hello! I just got a new gaming pc and for some reason frosty wont load when I hit "select" it freezes and then closes the whole thing. I'm not sure why its not working seeing as with my old pc it worked perfectly. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue. I have even uninstalled everything and reinstalled and it still wont work. Frosty is the only way I can mod my game with the mods I was using before...so I'm kind of really bummed about it. UPDATE: It finally loaded and it worked for a little bit until I tried to merge DAI mods with frosty and then everything stopped working. I deleted DAI mod manager and everything and tried to restart but the mods just wont work anymore and I've even went as far as to repair my game, delete and reinstall frosty and all my mods, and delete everything that involves the game and nothing seems to work. It worked perfectly on my last pc but this one it just seems to not want to work.
Ever since I was booted from Origin to use the EA app, none of my mods have loaded. I've tried changing the launching app, downloading FrostyFix, nothing. I'm so sad cuz even tho I've already beaten the game once, I didn't do Tresspasser. I wanted to do a playthrough as Lavellan. She had beautiful curly hair before (SonyaSims Jessica from the Misc Hairsytles for Frosty mod), but now the only hair that loads is that stupid tiny ponytail. Anybody got tips?
Good news: I figured it out in time to replay before Veilguard! Step 1: run Frosty as admin Step 2: run EA app as admin Step 3: launch DA:I from Frosty It takes about 5 minutes for the game to actually appear on my screen, but it DOES load. If you try to launch the game from EA and it's greyed out, that means it's running and you just gotta wait.
I set Frosty up and it seems to work fine mostly. I added the option to launch with EA app and it is finicky but it works. The issue I have is after I close the game, Frosty still has the waiting for game window open and I can't close it so I have to use task manager to end task. I also can't drag any mods at all in an archive or not onto the manager to import. Any advice? Thanks
The force quitting is something I have to do all the time and just seems to be par for the course right now. For not being able to install mods via dragging the archive you'll just have to do what was mentioned in the video by opening and dragging and dropping, then installing! It's all just the quirks of Frosty Mod Manager 😂
the git hub link shows 4 different assets available to download i only downloaded the mod manager zip, since there was no mention of the other assets in video? i have zero modding experience so i just don't know i hope this was the right to make as i follow along?
update. putting the files through the 7 zip made them unusable? and changes the icon to the 7zip icon. not sure if im using this program correctly, honestly very confused at this point.
You just need to download the mod manager to install mods. You only need to use 7zip to open the archive/extract what's in it not change the file type or anything. This comes in a .zip from github so you might be able to open it without the assistance of .7zip as most PCs should be able to open them. Then you can keep going with the tutorial!
Thank you for making this video. I've been modding on and off for years haven't tried any frostbite engine games except for Need For Speed Heat and Madden 22 but that uses the FIFA Mod Manager. This video is so helpful. You even answered my question about .DAI mods. Cheers
I'm running into a uniquely complicated issue with this. I used Frosty pretty reliably with Origin but when I had to make the switch to the EA app things got weird. I reinstalled Andromeda on the EA app, it had it's own specific install path (just like when I installed it on Origin), but when it installed, the ModData folder was still in the install path for "Origin Games" not the new one it made on the EA app. When I try launching Frosty I get a kind of error mentioning the ModData folder. I've tried deleting the ModData folder hoping it would just reappear like in the video but it doesn't so I have to put it back. I've also tried just moving it to the new EA app install path but that makes Frosty glitch and it gets stuck on "Waiting for platform". I'm at a loss so any help would really be appreciated. Hopefully this makes sense.
Did you repoint Frosty to the new location for the .exe? It sounds like that's why it might not be making a new mod data folder. The other option is to back up your mods in a seperate folder, delete frosty, reinstall it and then reinstall your mods!
Oh my gosh I'm so sorry -- I read the last part of your comment wrong. If you have the waiting for platform it's actually working 😂 It's a bug with frosty + EA App. Get a mod that you don't care about/won't affect your game (I'm using Speed launch) and either enable or disable it when launching the game to force the mod manager to apply your mods and that should start the game!
@@FoodThenGames Fixed it, thank you! I have one more question if you don't mind. When I quit the game Frosty seems to be stuck on "waiting for game". All the mods work fine though.
8:37 launch options aren't showing up like that for me. The UI looks completely different. All I see is "Mod Manager Options" and "Bioware Localization Options".
I don't know if you respond or if anyone knows how to fix this- but I tried everything and nothing works :(... DA: I use/open both Steam and the EA App to run and I followed everything and did all the troubleshooting you and others suggested. Frosty just closes EA and Steam then log me out and if I log in it just closes everything. It doesn't open the game :(. I turned to articles, discord servers, and other tutorials. It just doesn't work and I've found out that so many people have the same problem as me but with different games. Their solution was to give up and quit TvT. Edit: This is day 3 now btw TvT
I’m sorry you’ve been having this much trouble 😔 Can you start DAI normally without problems? As in no mods and no frosty. If you can can you then try loading DAI up through frosty with no mods as well? This honestly seems to be a more recent problem. One trick to getting everything to work used to be to use the task manager to force quit out of everything EA App/ Origin related even like the help client and that used to trick it all into working so maybe that’s worth a try as well?
@@FoodThenGames Sorry for the late reply, I was busy. But yesterday, DA:I could open normally without a problem- now when try to open it, I just have a black screen and sometimes it crashes. Launching it through Frosty without mods doesn't work either 😟. For some reason, EA and Steam just open and close themselves- funny part, my friend kept getting notified about me being online and offline- she had to stop her playing and call me to see if I was okay 😓💀. Edit: I got it to work after installing and installing the apps. Frosty launches the game but it's invisible.
@-littlebonsai3622 Hello! Does it work for you now? I have the exact same problem but with Mass Effect Andromeda since today after an EA update. When I try to launch the game through Frosty, it just disconnects me from my EA account, ask me to connect again then just : close. ._. Im going slightly maaad... I tried everything I can think about :/
I've run into a problem, all of my frosty mods work and show up in the game except for any hair mods. I've tried different hair mods and I have my mesh setting set to ultra and launch from Frosty but they won't show up in-game and I don't know what else to do. Edit: For anyone else having this problem, I have found the solution that personally works for me. In the Frosty manager, I went to the tools tab in the upper left, clicked options, clicked launch options, checked yes to the platform launching enable box, then chose to launch with the EADesktop option in the dropdown menu to the right of the words Platform.
If you play through steam, at least for Andromeda you need to set the mod manager to launch through EA. Otherwise none of the mods will be applied. The launch this way will be a lot buggier though, sometimes it doesn't seem to work. But at least mods work.
@@xarthesailor Dunno. If you launch it through the mod manager, and it's set to launch through EA, and it launches, then you probably forgot to apply the mods after you put them in the mod manager. If it's not that then I dunno.
Honestly whenever I hit moments like this I start from scratch -- Like clean install of the Mod Manager, fresh mods, etc because usually it's something I missed in the early bits and need a clean slate! I also highly suggest walking away for a night as sometimes looking at it with fresh eyes can help!
I downloaded 2 mods, and they weren't working. I clicked on this video and followed the steps in case I did it wrong. Then I followed the troubleshooting tips. Nothing worked and I gave up. I deleted frosty manager, launched my game like normal and now the mods are working. Im confused af
@@FoodThenGames yeah, you were super right. Its random af. Now frosty manager works like normal. Btw, thank you for your modlist, was really helpful, ended up using a lot of the mods.
One thing. Sometimes the game will not start. It is caused by both EA and Steam is shut down by Frosty. Make sure that they both are running before start. Pay attention to Steam restarting. If it does not start it manually right after it shut down.
Is Frosty supposed to launch the game directly after I click launch or do I run the game using EA or Steam after Frosty closes then opens EA and Steam? I'm 99% it's the former, but Frosty seems to close (and in EA's case sign me out)
It is suppose to do that. I have no problem with EA but only with Steam shutting down and not opening again. It is not allways but a lot of times. I sometimes have to restart 3-5 times. The reason fro Frosty to start the game is that it starts the mod. It use to bee the frostymodmanager that did it. But after changing from Origen to to EA it changed something. Not sure what was changed.
Great video and explanation. But onfort. I'm still having problems with FMM. I bought Dragon Age Inq. on Steam but have to run it via the EA App ( 🤬🤬🤬). I've already installed/picked some Mods but when I try to Launch the game; FMM closes Steam and the EA App and forces me to Log back in on EA and open Steam up again before stopping and not do anything. Do you have any advice for me ? I already linked my Steam and EA account + got an EA Play sub on Steam. I really wanna use Mods in DAI but this is driving me BONKERS. I managed only once to get some a couple of mods to work but not anymore.
There have been several people having similar issues recently - my guess is that there's been an update between steam & EA App recently that's causing the issue and I haven't heard a fix for it. However you could try using .DAImods instead of Frosty Mods as those shouldn't cause an issue!
This may help someone... I purchased MEA on sale in Steam, so I was confused about what to select as the launcher in Frosty. In my case, EADesktop was the correct option even though the game is located in the Steam folder by default. I launch Frosty as the administrator and then launch the game. Frosty opens up EA but it will not launch the game on its own. You must select MEA and launch it from EA. Viola!!! 3 hours of mod downloading and troubleshooting were not in vain!
Great video and thanks. Unfortunately no matter what I do I cannot get this to work with Mass Effect Andromeda. All that happens is the EA app and steam close down and restart. Game never launches
What is it says: "Update profile SDK" and down: Waiting for procces to become active(stand on this one, and does not move down), scaning for type into offset, Dumpyng types from memory Cross referencing assets and creating SDK.
Genuine question here! I did everything right down to the T and tried to delete the ModData folder to see if that would help but that isn't even there. What do I do? The game won't start from the Frost Mod Manager and I am still troubleshooting it. Edit: Nevermind I rewatched and tried opening it with admin and it worked. Thank you so much for all of the thorough and easy to understand guides you are the best!!!
I can't for the life of me get Frosty mods to work. Im trying to get the deathroot seed fix and ive got a little change the inquisitor portrait mod to verify when the mods actually work. (mods are on the right side and checked off) I've tried combining with diamond mods and it didnt work. So I tried putting the back up patch back in then deleting frosty's mod data folder and running again without the diamond mods and frosty launches the game fine and says they're applied but the graphical mod I had doesnt show up. So my last ditch effort is to delete the patch folder verify the integrity of the files have it replace the patch folder that's missing and hope there was something wrong with the original patch folder i had.
Update: that wasnt the issue... So i tried using another portrait changing mod through frosty and tried removing and re applying them. Still didnt work. I'm at a loss..
Update2: By some stroke of luck I got it to work. Alright so i got it to work by changing the launch option of FrostyMM to EADesktop because I no longer had Origin. This got it to work but only when Daimond mods were not installed. Which would be fine but the only problem is that because my original playthrough was patched by DaiMM the game would not load the save because it thought it was a newer patch save. So I tried disabling all my mods from DaiMM except for Official patch which I can not disable then ran FMM *Keep in mind I've been constantly changing the merged folder to just "Patch" as instructed. The first 2 times I did this it didnt work. But the 3rd time it did and I have absolutely no clue why it worked this time and not the others. I got my deathroot seeds saved the game then reloaded all my DaiMM mods and life is good again. Hopefully this helps anyone who may have encountered a similar problem as I had.
The issue I am having is that I can't seem to drag and drop files into frosty, I just get the circle with the slash on it. But when I try to directly import the file, it crashes FMM. Whether the file is compressed or not does not seem to make a difference.
when you unzip the file are you taking all the files with you? If not that might be the issue. I've personally never had luck using an import button in frosty for mods. I usually either drag and drop the compressed file or uncompress and just drag all the files inside! The other thing you could try is dumping the unzipped files directly into the mods folder that FMM creates when you install it (It's located inside the folder where FMM exe is) that might trick it into working!
@@FoodThenGames I think I found my main issue, the link I followed for frosty said it was 1.0.6.2, but actually downloaded 1.0.5.9, I have it fixed now and it seems to be working. Just need to figure out my load order and what not. Problem is now a lot of the mods I have used in the past and enjoyed havent been updated in 3 or 4 years.
Honestly I wouldn't worry about mods not being updated unless they state they HAVE to be used on a specific version of frosty. I'm still using some mods from year one and they work just fine!

you can find the plugin needed to get the launch options by downloading frosty version 1062 extracting it, open the plugin file in frosty mod manager which is where you'll see LaunchPlatformPlugin, move this plugin to the newest frosty mod manager, in the plugin file.
Thank you for making these! they're super helpful :)
thank you so much. I have been struggling to find a up to date tutorial lmao.
You have amazing voice, I wish they hire you for next Mass Effect game.
Your tutorial is a lifesaver. Thank you so much for posting this ;D
Thank you so much for this videos, las time I played DA:I was back in 2019 and haven't touched it since up until today, where it hit me again how some mechanics were, well, clunky, and needed modding. Your video is so well made and thorough, also your voice 🥰. Thank you again!
THANK YOU! You are absolutely amazing at these tutorials, thank you so much!!

This is THE best tutorial 😊 thank you so much for giving such thorough instructions
The game won't launch from Frosty mod manager after I set the launch parameters for steam and EA App. It goes to the EA App and not the actual game.
There was a recent EA App update for steam that fudged with things and a lot of people are having issues now using Frosty with Steam. Sadly I have no idea how to fix it currently however if you're trying to mod dai the .daimods should still work!

As always great tutorial, thanks for the effort and help. Happy New Year
so ive been trying to mod dai and im having a few problems with frostymm so when i hit launch it closes my steam then reopens it to close it again then to be stuck on waiting for dragonageinquisition ive stopped it multiple times and restarted it ive swapped over the ea launcher and it still does the same thing where it will clsoe it open it but atleast it stays open this time (edit) ive went to the discord and had no access to anything and couldnt find out how to gain access to ask this question
This was extremely helpful and easy to follow, thank you so much!
so useful, thank you! i'm used to sims modding and modding dragon age was confusing, but i understand it now :)
I love your DAI Mod Guide It took me a while for my first time Modding now i know Everything to do lol and you're right about the Mod Data folder If you have any Problems just delete and replace your mods in Frosty .
everytime i go to launch.... it tries to open with EA when i have it set to open with steam, i have it downloaded through steam, and when i launch the game thru frosty it says the game needs to be downloaded in EA but when i go into EA it says its downloaded IN STEAM WHAT IS GOING ON LOL
thank you! youre a life saver
The issues starts mostly after EA rename his plattform from Origin to EA App. I don´t have any problems before under Origins no problem at all.
Every time I click launch in the FMM my steam and EA keeps closing and it becomes a never ending cycle of reopening and closing and again and again.
I followed the steps provided so im now lost.
There was an update to the EA App that’s caused issues like that for some people. I sadly have no idea how to fix it currently!
Thank you, this was very easy to understand and quite comprehensive. Very helpful.
I'm so mad because your tutorial is super clean and clear, but somehow, the mods still don't work in my game and it's driving me crazy haha
Did you change the launch platform? That's been a common reason for them not showing!
how do you change the launch platform?
It should be time stamped in this video with how to do it -- I believe it's closer to the end in the tips & tricks section!
@@FoodThenGames ok thanks plex
@@FoodThenGames Oh, thanks for your answer. I did, sadly, and it still doesn't work; then I used frosty fix, and then later the plugin DatapathFix (that makes my game launch in 7mins) and nothing :( but Daitools works tho so it's a mystery
Has anyone encountered a problem when you launch the game through Frosty, but the EA launcher opens and nothing further happens?
The tips and tricks section should cover that!
YES! Nothing is fixing this, I went to the tools tab and there’s no “launch option” tab
Edit: I had to install an earlier version of Frosty but it worked!
I don't know why but when I launch with Frosty, the game just gets stuck on the loading screen and keeps loading on forever.
dang uploaded 7hrs before i needed it, thanks!
Smh, I downloaded the latest Frosty Mod Manager 1.0.6.3 and it didn't even have a launch option to choose between EA Desktop and Steam. Thanks to ur vid I know to downgrade to 1.0.6.1 instead.
This is a blessing. Thank you.
Amazing video! Wanted to get into Andromeda modding and anything not Vortex is alien to me.

@@sporesinfinnity7423 dw is work now thank you
I followed everything in the video but I still cannot get the mods to work :( I'm not sure how to pinpoint the problem.
Very helpful, thank you :D
I’ve been having issues using mods and frosty with this game forever. Been trying again follow guides and still issues with frosty. I’ll try this today, fingers crossed. 10th time is the charm.
Thank You So Much For Your Help. It's Not So Complicated After You Know How To Do It.
Thanks, this was nice and in depth. Reminds me of a GamerPoets Skyrim modding tutorial ;)
My mods still won’t load into the game I’ve done everything correctly I only have 2 mods😢
it tells me that i need a NTFS format, but my drive is already a NTFS format...what do i do
I honestly have no idea I'm sorry! I'd check in with the Frosty discord to see if they have a solution!
@@FoodThenGames i solved it, dont worry, thank u very much
Ever since I was booted from Origin to use the EA app, none of my mods have loaded.
Step 1: run Frosty as admin
Step 2: run EA app as admin
Step 3: launch DA:I from Frosty
It takes about 5 minutes for the game to actually appear on my screen, but it DOES load.
Informative, fixed my issue
the git hub link shows 4 different assets available to download i only downloaded the mod manager zip, since there was no mention of the other assets in video? i have zero modding experience so i just don't know i hope this was the right to make as i follow along?
update. putting the files through the 7 zip made them unusable? and changes the icon to the 7zip icon. not sure if im using this program correctly, honestly very confused at this point.
You just need to download the mod manager to install mods. You only need to use 7zip to open the archive/extract what's in it not change the file type or anything. This comes in a .zip from github so you might be able to open it without the assistance of .7zip as most PCs should be able to open them. Then you can keep going with the tutorial!
since ea slapped origin - you need the frosty fix aswell - for me, its to much shizzler to do! ill 'lay andromeda in vanilla now
OMG! i was so mad becouse i wasted 3 days on this, but you helped me in 10 minutes. Thank you so much!
just here tryna get some fereldan locks O_o
why cant they just have a mods folder you install shit to and have done
@@FoodThenGamesYes. I'll try to delete frosty and reinstall. Thank you.
Tried. Appreciate the help. I don't really understand what's up. Doesn't seem to be working. Sorry to bother you.
All the mods work fine though.
thank you! very helpful
8:37 launch options aren't showing up like that for me. The UI looks completely different. All I see is "Mod Manager Options" and "Bioware Localization Options".
You don’t need them anymore as they been integrated natively into the mod manager!
@@FoodThenGames ohh ok! Could you help me tho cause my mods arent showing up in my game ):
I don't know if you respond or if anyone knows how to fix this- but I tried everything and nothing works :(... DA: I use/open both Steam and the EA App to run and I followed everything and did all the troubleshooting you and others suggested. Frosty just closes EA and Steam then log me out and if I log in it just closes everything. It doesn't open the game :(. I turned to articles, discord servers, and other tutorials. It just doesn't work and I've found out that so many people have the same problem as me but with different games. Their solution was to give up and quit TvT.
Edit: This is day 3 now btw TvT
I’m sorry you’ve been having this much trouble 😔
Can you start DAI normally without problems?
Well i have andromeda on steam and got the EA launcher but it seems that no mods are activated when i launch with FMM did i miss something ?
@@xarthesailor Dunno. If you launch it through the mod manager, and it's set to launch through EA, and it launches, then you probably forgot to apply the mods after you put them in the mod manager. If it's not that then I dunno.

Installing frosty mods for dai is a nightmare and when working with .dai and frosty its worse. It worked once and then constant unhandled exception.
Same with me but for MEA
I downloaded 2 mods, and they weren't working. I clicked on this video and followed the steps in case I did it wrong. Then I followed the troubleshooting tips. Nothing worked and I gave up. I deleted frosty manager, launched my game like normal and now the mods are working. Im confused af
welcome to modding DA:I 😂😂😂
@@FoodThenGames yeah, you were super right.
@@theboving5516 Thanks!
Thanks, you safed me a lot of time!
Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect Andromeda\ModData\Default\' is denied. when I try to launch
Great video and thanks. Unfortunately no matter what I do I cannot get this to work with Mass Effect Andromeda. All that happens is the EA app and steam close down and restart. Game never launches
Im in the same situation since the last update
What is it says: "Update profile SDK" and down: Waiting for procces to become active(stand on this one, and does not move down), scaning for type into offset, Dumpyng types from memory Cross referencing assets and creating SDK.
some mods like quick loot and fast mining dont work with current version of the game, any workarounds?
Tried everything but still couldnt manage for the mods to show up in game....
This tutorial is amazing. I just got into PC gaming and I’m kinda winging it here 😅 thank you for sharing your knowledge!
(mods are on the right side and checked off)
I've tried combining with diamond mods and it didnt work.
So I tried disabling all my mods from DaiMM except for Official patch which I can not disable then ran FMM
*Keep in mind I've been constantly changing the merged folder to just "Patch" as instructed.
Nice, about to do mass effect andromeda playthrough but on pc this time with some mods.
Can you help me? I did exactly what you did and my game is opening well, but the mods aren't showing up in DAI. They are appearing in "Applied mods".
@@FoodThenGames yeah just seems that some conflict, and now I have to chase it down is all. My computer literacy is limited a bit lol
