    Thank you I had been natural for 13+ years and as I get older 50 with health issues I just couldn't handle the natural hair anymore so I relaxed my hair on December 9/22 and it's alot easier to handle but I'm learning how to take care of relaxed hair all over again, and I'm doing everything you said because I'm kinda lost been natural for so long that it's a learning experience all over again 😂

    Love the information!! You learn so much. Protein actually makes my transitioning hair super soft, luscious and detangled. I love love love using the Aphoghee Keratin two minute reconstructer & coconut 🥥 oil mixed together. Use as a pre-poo for 15 minutes on dry or wet hair under a hooded dryer then rinse. Do this every other wash day. My type 4b/4C hair loves loves loves ❤ 😍 this light protein treatment. Use only moisturizing products on a alternating wash day to balance your Moisture / Protein intake and your hair will so love you. ❤ Also take vitamins ladies, and drink lots of water. Keep learning.

    My hair starts breaking after 6 weeks. Its really upsetting because I want to stretch my relaxers. I'm considering to braid it at 6 weeks to see if it can stretch to 10.

    • @kurlymeka
      @kurlymeka  Рік тому +1

      Yes you could try that, 10 weeks is a nice stretch. If you do braid your hair please share your result after removing the braids.

      Your idea works. I'm now 12 weeks post relaxer and 2 weeks after taking out the braids. And the breakage is not that bad.

    Can I use dry shampoo to make it more flowy longer between washes? I’ve never tried it but people recommended it

    How do you grease your scalp while maintaining movemet in your hair ? I feel like when i grease my scalp it maoes my hair streaky and lightly "stiff".

    • @kurlymeka
      @kurlymeka  2 роки тому +3

      The scalp naturally produces a oil from the sebaceous gland called sebum which lubricates the scalp. So I might apply a light oil like grape seed but I only do this when my new growth starts to come in and I only do it once after my wash day.😊

    My hair been falling out. When I comb it sometimes I don’t even haffto comb it just patting it hair falling. I believe it’s because I just had my babies 5 months ago I thought maybe it could be hair loss from the baby.

    Great info, how long so I take to do a corrective relaxer?

    • @kurlymeka
      @kurlymeka  2 роки тому +3

      For a corrective relaxer there is not a set time period because each person hair is different, however, you would not want to do a corrective relaxer too close after your relaxer retouch. The best time would to do it on your next relaxer retouch just to be safe.

    What does it mean if your strands fall out from the roots?

    • @kurlymeka
      @kurlymeka  2 роки тому

      Shedding of hair strands is a normal part of hair replacement. These old strand that falls out are making way for the new strands. However if you are experiencing excessive shedding and your hair is noticeable thinner than normal then you are experiencing hair loss.
